I understand the time and efforts required to make such a video tutorial but then again, one should exercise utmost caution as many novices might follow the steps mentioned to the letter and would not be knowing anything else about private IP addresses, how to set IP addresses of their LAN/Wifi adapters etc. making them struck. The most important steps are left out such as how to connect to the range extender after changing its IP address and also disabling DHCP. I found the music to be quite distracting, but might be suitable for others.

Is this works in connecting my desktop to wifi using an old router? the free lan cable is short in distance. So my option is to connect my old router to our new wifi modem
Thank you, all went perfect but only after initially resetting the repeater router and the following all steps. My main router has the ip 192.168.100.1 and i set-up the tp link repeater as 192.168.100.156 and it works wonders.
Same i did, and worked. But i cant login to the repeater config anymore. Help me.

the main router (WR841HP) and the old router (WR740N),i tried to bridge the routers wirelessly but i failed let me knw if there is any way to do it.

Very nicely explained steps. The video would be more clear if it also explained that the step 3 of changing IP is to bring the devices into same network. And in step 4, the default gateway should be the IP of the primary router. But, never mind, its a Great video..and thanks a lot for the effort NET VN.

Even though I dont change 2nd routers network address and default gateway of 1st router, wds working fine along with internet. How come?
On step 5:13 after I cllick "SAVE"it says that my bridge channel is 11 and it can not be 1, after I changed the channel to 11 it works- Is it normal? Why the channel to you is 1 and the channel to me is 11? Thanks.

In the video the DHCP is off, so we need to manually configure the IP in each of the devices. I am able to connect to the Wifi of the new device using this, but unable to connect to the internet. Can you let me know what I may be missing ?
The ip address is not in same subnet with lan ip addrs . Error mssg

Thanks for this video but im still fighting to put my TP-Link to repeat, specially because im not sure if this is possible to repeat internet from a mobile phone that is working as hotspot. So I have a samsung mobile phone working as hotspot router, and because its not covering all my house, i tried to use my TP-Link router but it seems to be connected to the phone but does not display any internet, also the light for internet in this router is never shown. Any suggestions please? :)

I tried all these but I don't seem to understand why my own case is different. Once I disable the DHCP server in the secondary router I just can't log in to the assigned IP address and neither will it have an internet connection from the primary router! I'm using two Huawei routers (B535-956 as primary while B315-608 as secondary).

So I did all the steps correctly, did same thing over and over 3 times, after i reset and start from the beginning, No internet, same router same process, what could it be ??? ( I configured the router via ethernet cable, once i setup everything and its RUN i disconnected the cable and connected to the router WiFi and still no internet .. )
u must disable the dhcp server

@@Cristian89Adrian connect one cable from your main router to secondary router say port 2 ( Lan Port ) and connect another cable from port 3 of secondary router to PC and try setting the same.

Hi, i did all those steps, it shows WDS Status: Run, DHCP Disabled... and still no freaking internet !? pls help.. i got the TP Link TL-wr841N, it should work !
Even I’m facing the same problem....after turning dhcp off when router restarts im unable to connect 192.168.1.254
Try changing the WDS type from Auto to WDS1 or WDS 2.

If you know the credentials of the router, yes. That is preety much what is explained in the video.
