this ended too abruptly
It's a lot similar to the book Ravens Peace
X23A was the last few words,,, might be a trap or important info,,

The sign of a good story lol
These are all basically reddit posts that people write in their spare time. Imagine having 30 minutes after work and you knock out a quick, fun little story. Then it's dinner, bed and back to work tomorrow. No time to write a book.
"The 38s"
The title reminded me of another story from long ago. This was back in the late 70s and early 80s when Marvel had a magazine-size comic book in which all of the stories were SFF. I can't remember the title of the story to which I'm referring, nor the author.
In the story, a huge spaceship approaches Earth. It's destination is the UN building in NYC. Naturally, a lot of delegates are there to greet the aliens. However, when they step out of the ship, they look exactly like us... humans. Their leader begins apologizing for being out of touch for so long, only to be interrupted by an Army general who wants to know what kind of trick the aliens are trying to pull, and were they here to take over the planet and make it one of their colonies. The aliens' leader apologizes again, and then he explains that they'd already colonized Earth, about 40,000 years ago, and that a paperwork error had resulted in the "aliens" losing contact with the colonists, the humans of Earth.
I think whoever wrote the story was inspired by the original Battlestar Galactica TV series.
I absolutely LOVE this! So much to work with.
There is a book series with almost the exact same premise as this short story; it's called "Peacekeepers of Sol," and it's also on Audible. It's absolutely amazing, featuring multiple different species with varying technology. I won't spoil any more.
Peacekeepers; interesting, sounds a bit like Farscape
This reminds me of a Mass Effect fanfiction on Spacebattles where Batarians kidnap hundreds of humans from earth during the great crusades. It's called Lost Sons if anyone is curious.
Not sure how this git in my feed, but for once glad it did. Short original stories. Subscribed.
I do like talking to hive mines. Easy to poke, hilarious, explosive reaction.
Ive read 1000s of science fiction books and though this is very simplistic its a lot of fun...
Good story, nice idea to post short stories. I loved it! The voice is great! I will certainly come back for more.
I enjoyed that story there needs to be a part 2
Yep, I was just getting into it.
Oh dope
Theres a literally identical story where the humans WERE in fact children of the larger Human/alien species. in that story, a ship carrying sick children crash landed on earth and was lost to the aliens. the disease the children had caused them to die within 100 years instead of the couple millennia they were meant to live. Im not sure how the whole sexual maturity thing worked. anyways, the story annoyed me because the aliens infantilised the humans despite the fact that they had evolved alone for 10s of thousands of years and had rediscovered ftl by themselves. aliens then diregarded the diplomatic engagement and instead came along and "reclaimed" all of humanity as their lost children and either adopted them/allowed them to be claimed by blood relatives (how the fuck would that work) to be raised properly and cured of the disease that prevented them from living their full lifespan lol.
Ive been looking for a story that youve described exactly, any idea if you remember the name of it? (Nevermind found from a comment below ty)
This story could have legs to carry on to a part two.
Spider-Man pointing at himself meme
For the Algorithm the story and the voice 🎉
Almost, nothing like Childs play
Intriguing stuff 👍 pretty cool.
Funny, but this seems like this could be based on something that's a little more than just fiction😉. Superb Story.
Short story, but I like it.👍🏻
Well done.
Is this story going to continue because I like it
Looks like the user is deleted. So that would be a no.
@@xenozero2128 rip
@@xenozero2128 Probably because someone called them out on this plagiarized copy of Child's Play the original and much better written story. If you liked this you'll like the original much better.
@@KHANPHOTO1 Do you know the author’s name?
@@KHANPHOTO1 So Childs Play was the name of the original. I was really baffled when this ended where it ended.
Read a different hfy story exactly like this. But the humans were the offshoot.
Was that the one where Terran humans were suffering from a disease that killed them before they reached adulthood, and we just considered it to be our natural lifespan?
the title was "Childs Play"
Oh... I'm sure the issue of X23A got resolved. Based on a lot of the other stories here, I'm sure the hive mind crocodiles received a costly lesson in violence.
Part 2 please
Hans!, keep that handy nuke at hand
Reminds me of child's play
Small Galaxy ? ~ Thanks
So it seems 😆
I need to think for a long time in the end on what did you just say
This sounds a lot like the war of 1812 here in the U.S.
a good start, but where is the rest of it?
Isn’t this narrated by Quinn from the fire and ice channel and Quincy ideas channels?
This sounds like it was written by an AI.
The user of this story apparently plagiarized it from a story titled Child's Play. Their account is deleted.
Nice story.
I find this AI voice a bit grating, possibly partially because of hearing it a lot.
Does anyone know if these stores are written by AI ?
Russia wouldn't send one the juice. United States, France wouldn't send one their using a state. European country might use one but they most likely would use the United States. China would use their on Japan and ostra would use United sticks. So would Canada the most powerful space varying country?
The United States of America. There's only 3 countries, not a part of that Union that was made.
Over the International space station that are space varying one, which happens to be China. But the United States would say someone in European country would have to go too. Even though there were there in the United States, China. Would just sit and watch and maybe put a little important. But you've everything up to United States to scrub something.
Which never seems to happen.
And then?
Okay, it's one lousy planet in a settled galaxy. Yeesh! C'mon, people -- stop the whining, willya?!?
Incomplete story
pretty sure its a rewrite of someone else's story called child's play
Plagiarism
I have a link to the original story in the description. Unfortunately the original author deleted their reddit account, so I don't know who they are.
If you know who they are can you let me know. I'll add their details into the description.

Argo squirrel narrates, perhaps?
This is terrible writing. Was it translated from another language into English?
It seems to be a ripped-off story, the author deleted their account.
Meh to close to another story. Flesh it out more my man.
