Well... As far as I know it's about the most Canadian thing you'll see all day. They've been doing it for many years in Quebec and now finally the last few years the rest of the continent is catching on. But I know what you mean.

The loaded is a lot more exciting for sure. Seeing the torque twist the frame and pull a wheel up like they do is awesome. But this is a lot more skill involved actually. They have to control that torque a lot more. They have to prevent wheel spin and they have to keep the rear end from bouncing. I really enjoy watching both types of racing because of what both offer that's different.

Thing used to be a nascar hauler, and he drives it like one too 😂 He used to pull up the mountains here in PA doing 100 grossed out and have to brake at the top cause he was going too fast, warped the engine block doing stuff like that and had to pay bout 20 grand to get it replained and rebuilt. I know very little about drag racing, but I'm assuming this is 1/8th mile since the fastest truck are down around 8 seconds it looks to me. Assuming these trucks have more or less normal gear ratios as it appears most of them are daily drivers, they would be out of gears and rpms near or before 1/4 mile never mind what a half mile would need.
Cool vids keep up the good work of pulling and drag racing can’t tell which is better when they race with the loads or without and I think the blue flame truck had NOS we really should think about putting this on TV like the normal NHRA
Missile Man anti lag. Cutting air/ or fuel so they can stage at 1/2 their rpms. As soon as they let off the clutch the engine is given full air/fuel and allowed to reach max rpms. This is done to eliminate wheelspin that would occur if launching at max rpms.
@@tannermiller5888 you are half correct but your are wrong about the purpose of it. The reason for anti lag is not to prevent wheel spin but to spool up the turbo so they can leave the line with the turbo spooled up making boost

I'm curious to know what gear they start off in
They have to start at least on 2nd gear high
Probably 4th thru 6th depending on the trans?
6th that y they build so much boost
The trick is beating the wheel spin
so they all start off in top gear and the smoke is actually the clutch?

Also what is actually going on with the fuel is the injection timing is being greatly retarded to spool up the turbos
