@@24vmatt Could be running a trans with a manual valve body, and I'm no expert but it doesn't sound like it's running out of fuel, it sounds like it's banging off the rev limiter.

Why are Dodge trucks the slowest in nearly every side by side race I see? My hemi Durango was slower than my 2000 Town and Country minivan
It’s only a 6 cylinder vs 8 on both Ford and chevy
Because they’re just not as fast. Not complicated. GM trucks are always quicker because they are also lighter and better transmission too. Just faster all around.

NakedDave100 Nothing wrong with Isuzu. They've been around a very long time and have been involved in the diesel industry forever, they even invented the first air cooled diesel among many other firsts. Most of the diesel engines the Japanese used in World War II or made by Isuzu. Personally I think Isuzu sounds better than Duramax
