    I literally just bought this gun, couldn’t figure it out to save my life, and the manual was written by a dummy. I just now took it apart, cleaned it from the factory stuff, and put it back together, while watching your video. I can do Sigs, Walthers, FNs, but this HK I’ll be honest had me stymied.
    Thanks

    Just put a deposit on my first handgun, the H&K P30L, and I am counting down the days until I can pick it up (unfortunately there are a lot of them). Great vid! Love the lengths you go to to get it perfect, and the descriptions were perfect! Great job!

      @Doug Hamilton Congratulations mate! I am so jealous though hahaha. Unfortunately I am still waiting, as here in Australia when you first get your handgun licence you can not buy your own for 6 months!

      @Doug Hamilton Lol, yeah time drags on when we are wanting it to pass quickly.
      How are you enjoying the P30 so far? Did you get the DA SA or the LEM?

    • @t-rex7796
      @t-rex7796 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Doug Hamilton Nice, exactly the same as mine 👌.
      Haha I am doing the same. Haven’t even picked it up yet but I am looking for range bags, magazine pouches, and cleaning kits!

    I'm using hoppes 9, it's tough to get it out from inside where the spring is, is that a problem or not so much? Not sure how it compares with clp

  • @jamesmccall6658
    @jamesmccall6658 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Not bashing you but Why don't you take off both release levers after removing the slide? It's not that difficult with the receiver off and to me it also cleans them of the gunk they accumulate> I realize the manual says not to do it but I think that's because without the receiver off you could bend them. With it off they just pop off.

    I'm looking into my first handgun and H&K peaked my interest. The concept of cleaning is certainly something that has been on my mind as I'm afraid I will do something incorrectly. But your detailed video really helped me I greatly appreciate it. Quick question, is cleaning a different handgun similar to cleaning this one?

    • @sgrtactical8469
      @sgrtactical8469  ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry it took so long to reply. Yes and no depending on the pistol. To break down the gun it may be slightly different, but it’s all the same fundamental. Hopefully that answers your question. Thank you for watching. Glad we could help.

    Slamming the slide shut or loading a single round in the firearm can damage the extractor. Just ask Bill Wilson of Wilson Combat or Massad Ayoob.
