It is a line from his play The Self-Tormentor, which was written in 165 B.C.. It is the arms of THE ROYAL LONDON HOSPITAL crockery from there. Nice find Adam ; lovely to see you back. He the man that wrote it was a freed slave and it is a line Maya Angelou used as well. I love it. WE MISSED YOU AND ALEX.

Elin, I was hoping while watching this Adam would guild the broken edges like Sarah from Manchester Mudlarks does. It would look nice with Adams plain pipes.
@@Rose-jz6ix true Rose it looks great when most of the Mudlarks guild, i like just as it is, would place it up, to hide the broken bit, and use it as a background, perhaps for a bottle with a candle shining on the plate. Huge 🌹 hug from Denmark
Nice finds Adam. Good seeing you out and about again. The BEAR!
Gently wash the out side of your bottles with the iridescence on it and dry good then spray clear coat on it. Let the clear coat dry good then wash the inside if you scrub hard you will loose some if not all of the iridescence on them. If the bottles are clear and you really want the iridescence to show put water in the bottle with black food coloring or a dark food coloring and put a stopper in the bottle and then display it.

If you didnt guess the little white tray was used to hold bar hand soap. Not very old as I could tell. Congratulations on your first Ginger Jar. Your lubbly jubbly poison bottle is a real winner. I don’t think you know this because I never see any of you check the bottom of the bovrils but another digger checked the bottom of all the ones he came across while he was digging because some of them have an anchor on the bottom and they are very sought after from serious bottle collectors. Funny as I was typing this message you found one I’d check and see what it is worth because the other digger acted like it was worth good money. What’s funny is he didn’t find one and I have been telling all the diggers and mud larkers and your the first to find one now I’m not sure if anyone might have one at home without realizing it but anyway.
