    I'm drooling! Dang I want one and it's even made in my home state of Pa. If I ever win the lottery I'll have one. Thanks for another great educational video Randy. You're a national treasure.

    For the mountains I am carrying a Blaser K77 Ultra Light that weights only 2.2 Kg ( under 5 pounds loaded) and shoots its 30-06 like a charm. It brakes down easily into under two feet for the backpack and the scope goes on in seconds due to its swing mount. In all the decades that I carried it and hunted it has never let me down and with its small 1-6 powered scope it fits well enough to securely harvest the fastest running wild boars during drives. The action you present appears to be an excellent one and I like bolt action rifles, but at my age when it comes to the steep terrain, every pound counts.

    Nice video Randy. The Terminus action appears to be pretty impressive! Appreciate your comments and observations on the Hart rifle barrels as well.

    2 years ago i bought a Unitau Precision AR-15 upper LH. at the time there were no LH in 300 BO for a reloading project. It has a similer bolt style, but with a Ticca extractor, have you seen these? i get a min. if i shoot and load well. I found several AR-uppers, none accurate enough in my hands, to judge reloads. limited to 100 yd i find the 300 BO accurate enough at that range shooting light 30 call cheap bullets. I loves Speer Varmints 125-130

      I won't comment on this as I don't work on AR's and no longer own one, just not my cuppa tea.

    I hope to have a rifle made by you some day and I agree on most things you say but you loose me on your optic choice. A Leupold VX5 doesn’t come close to a Tangent Theta, Kahles, Zeiss, ZCO, Blaser, Leica or really any other European optic…..

    Adds about $700 to a typical 700 build but worth the money. Too bad my safes are full. BTW, the 300 H&H you built for me in 2006 is still going strong. I did add a Sako extractor after going through a couple of riveted Remington extractors.

    Interesting point. You said that the Picatinny bases have a little wider groove than the Weaver bases. I wonder if this will allow scope movement during shooting.

    • @danel5611
      @danel5611 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The scope can move under a couple of conditions, you don’t push the rings all the way forward and if you don’t tighten the rings to the base, otherwise no.

    • @TheRealGunsmith
      @TheRealGunsmith  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @charlesburdette7497 we do not have prices on our website as each rifle is a custom order. We do post some of the many rifles Randy has built. The price of that particular rifle, with costs of all components rising constantly, would be outdated. Call or email [see our contact information on our website, which is at the end of every video] and contact Randy. We'll be glad to work with you.

    Sir, Randy, this is probably not the correct venue to ask this question but you are the correct person to answer it. I have a Glock 21 chambered in 460 Rowland and a Beretta M9A3 chambered in 960 Rowland. Rowland says I can continue to shoot the native, 45ACP and 9mm respectively, from these guns with only the extractor providing headspace. What say you?

    • @alanmeyers3957
      @alanmeyers3957 ปีที่แล้ว

      Correct, most pistols, a lot of pistols suffer from generous headspace anyway. Is it good for accuracy? No!

    Have you reviewed an American Rifle Company Mausingfeild action?

    • @TheRealGunsmith
      @TheRealGunsmith  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I've looked at them. Awkward, cumbersome bolt handle. The Terminus action I am using is much better overall, than this.
      Thanks for watching.

  • @tca375

    Now that you had some time with this action what are your thoughts?Now is this basically blueprinted and no further required?

    • @TheRealGunsmith
      @TheRealGunsmith  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      ALL custom action are blueprinted off the machine. The Terminus actions are top of the line.

    • @Jezus42

      As a lefty shoot right handed guns left handed. You actually have an advantage over right handers.

    • @Jezus42
      @Jezus42 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry I didn't see the thumbhole stock. The boyds elkcamp or at1 thumbhole would have been better choices

    • @Jeff_Seely
      @Jeff_Seely 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks, John and you are very correct. I have spent a lifetime doing exactly that and haven't had touble (I always went with whats available). I just thought it would be nice one day to own a lefty hunting rifle.

    • @Jezus42
      @Jezus42 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Jeff_Seely to each his own. I'm old and left handed guns basically didn't exist when I was a kid. So I've just always done it the same way. I could probably adapt, but when I got my 338 I was given the option and went right. I'm now considering a custom 300prc I was just gonna do right again. Mussel memory and all.

  • @Jezus42
    @Jezus42 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    And I would immediately pull that scope and put the leupold 3×18 on it. Don't scope custom rifles unless I tell you to or give you the one I want.

    • @Jezus42
      @Jezus42 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      There is a very good chance I have a caliber and scope combo I want when ordering custom rifles to suit my needs. For instance I want a 300 prc with a leupold 3×18 set for copper solids, The naturalis or the tsx. Maybe even a chamber long enough to fit the 212g ttsx. 26 to 30" carbon barrel.

    • @eugenecota2470
