Hi! Thank you for the video. I am looking for the 2 other videos of this topic, how to play with Engineers and how the play with Builders. Am I blind, or you haven't posted them yet? :) It would be so great to hear your thoughts and learn from expererienced players. I just got the game (2nd edition) though played a couple of times before, but I even can not beat SAM on the lowest difficulty. :D
Hey there! You're not blind, I haven't done them yet. I should, it's just hard to find the time for everything! If you have problems with the easy solo, take a look at my other beginner's guide on get if you haven't watched it yet. It should give you some direction on your first few plays

Spot A can be good because you get the fresh coins from the delivery. It's not as good though because it forces you to stop right at the start of the track, thus losing speed and tempo towards getting back to KC
Well, that's a whole video worth of content by itself! The short version would be: it's great, quite a few improvements on the overall gameplay. But if you already have the 1st version, it's not a must buy
You're not covering the expansion (Rails to the north). Is it because it's not available for online play or do you consider it to not be very good? I've played GWT maybe 10 times now and half of those plays were with the expansion, which I enjoyed because it opens up the game so much. Do people generally not like it at a competitive level? Anyway, thanks for the videos. Please put out more. (Also Maracaibo and other games. There are very few Board Game Strategy Channels on youtube.)
I'm going to put out more if I find enough time, even though strategy content requires more effort... you actually have to play the game enough to understand it deeply! You're correct, I don't love Rails. It unbalances the game quite a bit, and the auxiliary actions don't make sense anymore since you're just going to place down branchlets all the time... but to each their own! Thanks for the kind words
I did not understand why you pointed out that position as the best for 4b. In the configuration of the board in your example, it would be possible to exchange cards and deliver, however, if more buildings enter the front, 3 steps will be insufficient. Wouldn't the best slot for 4b be a bit further ahead?
Hey Fernando! It's unlikely people will place buildings down the line, and two are mandatory to stop your 4b from chaining straight up to KC. It happens sometimes against strong players that two cooperate to hurt you if it's clear your dominating, but more often than not placing buildings after position F to hinder you is not going to work out in their favour

The thing is, I don't play with players that strong and, at least in my group, some love to put builds in the slots right behind KC (usually the one that does a double action and takes a step). Why do you think it would be so much worse to put the 4b a bit ahead? I think I even know the answer: it might slow down your cycle if you can't get there (4b) at the speed you want, having to make an unwanted stop halfway. Am I right?
@@fernandohf ...and indeed you're right! Test out other positions if the suggested one doesn't work that well in your playgroup. Let me know how it works!
Just stick to the bases. Try to focus on heads, toll buildings and Kansas city deliveries at the start. Then, depending on the heads that you were able to get, focus on one path. Try it out. Anyway, 50 points are not that bad if the game is played fast. The winner often wins with 70 or a bit more. Don't let yourself down;)

Its impossible for me to get a score higher than 50, even with this strategy... I think I must be too dumb for this game :-(
