Good stuff. We particularly enjoy the information your Comrade in Walks--Mathew--always brings to these videos. You work well together. More please! :)
I remember watching the fireworks at Brockham from BoxHill don't ask me when! Brockham is certainly a quaint historic village that I've not been to for 40+ yrs!!
Had a cousin who lived in Brockham in lovely house on the green there....don't know if she still there but it's a lovely little village!! I was only a kid when we visited but it's just as i remembered!! Nice to see it again!!
yes i guess your right. I’ve been up North a long time now and forget what it’s like. I live on one of the main roads going south to travel to Scotland and Cumbria and it not as noisy as one or two of the villages you featured.
@@MrNas42 my house was built in 1977 and by your guys's standards that would make it Edwardian..... And I stand by what I said you would have to go to cataldo Idaho to the Spanish mission or maybe the Spanish mission in Los Angeles to find something older than that church. I am very envious at the lengths that you guys go to to save and preserve old stuff I would love to have the stuff in my town that you guys do nearby I am very jealous.
Brockham was an idyllic little village! Yes I could rather imagine Miss Marple riding past you on her bicycle.🚴♀️ I kept waiting for you to play the music as walked.😕 LOL😁😉 Loved the village green, the pub, all those houses, the church - the bit on the bridge cracked me up! (Blooper Reel). Another great vid!👍
Yes it would be nice to live in an idyllic country village with a Miss Marple! However I seem to remember a lot of people tended to snuff it in mysterious ways! I’m starting to think it might have been her?
Loverly video always enjoy Mathews well informed input 👍
Great stuff - he is a star!
Absolutley love brockham we go every year now :) as a city kid, it’s such a refreshing change of pace!

Thanks very much - more to follow.
Been many times to Brockham Bonfire. Really fantastic fireworks and atmosphere. A gorgeous little village full of character and charm.
I bet they all have a fabulous time during the firework night display.
Thanks Richard
Another interesting & informative video. Very pretty area. Thank you Richard & Matthew.
Cheers Dave - we do try!

These villages along the A25 are so lovely that there cannot be anyone who would not like to live there.
They are nice but too close to London for my liking!

Very enjoyable and informative, especially Matthew's background information on planning and buildings.
They walk into a building that's older than anything within 1100 miles of my house........"it's not terribly old"😂. You got to love England.
@@thinking-as-I-wander I think I am correct in saying that over half of the UK's housing stock is over 100 years old!

Yep - that's how it goes!
Thanks Richard, another lovely video. My mum was born in Brockham, (not this part) I didn’t realise how beautiful it was.
Oh lovely for your Mum - bet she enjoyed it there.
That is quite nice, the green was loverly, I like how it retains the old whater pump. The church too was interesting. Well done you 2 great video 👍
Thanks so much George.
Another enjoyable video, thanks Richard 🙂👍
Thanks so much Jonathan.
Really enjoyed making this video with you (although it was cold to start!) - here’s to more videos along the A25 and Greensand Way!
Our Greensand Way walk is tomorrow's video! :) We did have fun with the pump and bridge. :)
Great video
Cheers sir.
I've seen Mr Cholmondley-Warner going across the footbridge pushing his bike

I shouldhave dished out the Miss Marple music - although copyright issues sadly!
Nice video, are you going to visit Leigh, Newdigate, Charlwood, Bickland etc?
I dare say over time other villages will be visited for sure.

She'd use a large 4 x 4 to deliver the coup de grace in those villages nowadays.
You could well be right.
You dont have to pay to get in to the bonfire do you? I live there so I always walk to it, thought it was free tho?
Oh right - who knew! :)
I think you pay to park...
I thought that you had to pay? Can't remember because it was last year when fireworks happened but idk.
