For me I choose Radiology out of pure passion, i cant stand nursing .. i also hold a bachelors degree just like my cousins.. I believe i make good money and live very comfortable in USA.. so i am curious are we very underrated and low payed in london??? does a radiographer with CT / MRI specialization not make a salary same as nurses? Atleast the place i work my hourly salary is same as my fellow coworker nurse who got the same years of experience .. but her stress level is higher and works more than i do 😂

Only hcpc is required to register as a radiographer in uk or we need to do a program related to our degree and then we are eligible to hcpc registration

Sir i have done MID( medical imaging Doctor) 5 year program in radiology from Pakistan now im working on X.ray, CT scan ,MRI from last 1 year! Sir what is the process to get job in UK..one thing more sir i want to do MPH ( master of public health) is it help full for mee to get any better job in UK other than radiology technologist!!
you need to be HCPC Registered here in the UK first, in order to get a job as Radiographer.

It is said that living in uk is so expensive that it doesnt matter how much u earn you cant save and send money home
it really depends on how you spend your hard earned money, every month since I came here, I always send money back in my home country, pay rent here, and still save some for my future plans here.
you really need to manage your budget properly, and dont forget to pay yourself also.

first you need to focus on your Radiology Experience, 3-5yrs experience atleast

Hello, kuya! I am also a Registered Radiologic Technologist here in the Philippines. Currently a CT Scan and General Radiographer but will soon also become an MRI Scanner. What can you say po life in UK? I am having second thoughts po kasi whether to continue processing my CORU registration which is for Ireland or to go HCPC. A lot of other Radtech from Ireland said they have higher salary than the ones working in UK but whenever I see videos of people just going about their day in UK, the cities, the places, there is something in there really captures my heart.
They also said that regardless of how long you've been working from other countries, the moment you decide you want to work in UK, you litearally have to start from scratch po. Like maybe start from the lowest paying bracket, is that true po or do they count the years of experience from countries regardless of what country you're from?

if you want stability, benefits and good pension scheme NHS is I think better than working in private agencies, but if you want higher rate then go for the latter.

Hi. I was advised by HCPC to undergo 6months of adaptation period under supervision of HCPC registered Radiographer. Do you know if I find the placement I will be paid? I have less than 1 year of experience graduated in 2015 and moved to UK. I would appreciate any info.

Hello sir, I'm also a Filipino Radtech, I got a job offer to work in London. Is it true that a tax would be deducted around 1300 pounds? plus rent (800)...so I can only save up 300 pounds a month?
Tax is -20% from your gross salary. so its not true that you can only save £300 😅

here in the UK your job is called Therapeutic Radiographer, you still need to be registered
with hcpc-uk. Just choose Therapeutic Radiology instead of Diagnostic Radiology

i suggest after you finish your degree, you need atleast 2yrs of hospital experience before applying for a job outside your country.

What are doing in qatar bro get out of their and get your passport of UK
for General Radiographer you always start with Band 5 no matter how many years of experience, as long as you are outside UK. But if you are lucky you might get hired for a Band 6.
Just make sure you are HCPC resgistered

Highest is MRI.. for example here in USA xray pay an hour is $ 20 to max $ 30, CT pay is $30 to max 46 and MRI pay is $33 to $52 sometime more… agency pay ofcourse even if its local one day work even CT tech get more than $50 and MRI tech get $70 and more..

if you already have an employer here in the UK, especially if its NHS, they now ask you to process your visa in the Philippines with their Recruitment Agency partner. They said their have been agreement by the government that all Philippine Passport holder needs to go through Agency.

you can visit the website of british council to book a schedule for exam, and there you can choose the testing center, im not sure which area is near your location
