“Best of Eddie Murphy” would have to be over an hour long if we’re being honest.
Shayne Collins SNL was funniest when Eddie Murphy, Billy Crystal, and Martin Short were on it. So many of Eddie’s skits couldn’t be played nowadays.

Eddie Murphy is without doubt a gifted comedian! He can poke fun on absolutely anything, including himself! Wide range of voices, Panamanian & dance! Very gifted. Love Eddie Murphy!❤😂😅😊
Eddie Murphy was only in his early 20's and he was considered the only thing saving SNL during the time he was there in the early 80's. He was the main star. Many lists have him as the greatest cast member of all time cause of it. He unofficially is the only cast member in history to host while being a cast member. He had the best career of any SNL cast member while they were on the show, releasing classics in comedy history like Delirious and Trading Places.
I'd love to see some sort of reprise of James Brown's Hot Tub or Mr. Robinson's Neighborhood...or the Prison Poet (C-I-L-L my landlord).
Probably won't happen but it would sure make me (& I'm sure many others) happy.💙

Eddie seems kind of withdrawn over the last couple years. I sincerely hope he knows how much he is loved by so many people. Generations of people all grew up or saw him coming up. We are the lucky ones today watching all his old stuff at the click of a mouse or touch of a screen. Eddie is one of the best to ever do it period!

James Brown's Hot Tub skit is my favorite xD
James Brown's hot tub had sub-drummer Steve Jordan playing instead of regular Buddy Williams. You could hear that distinctive "crack" of the snare being Steve's. I knew because that's how it sounded a lot on David Letterman during his time there.
