All Irish people sing...so true ! Beautiful country, beautiful people. Edge is a genius. So simple, so talented, so beautiful. His sound and his music are gifts. Purity of his voice, unforgettable and powerful arpeggios. Kisses from France
The Edge will have an absolutely incredible solo career right up until the end if, God forbid, U2 were to ever disband. He's a musical genius no question.
I don't sing he says. He's got a certain haunting feeling about him. Edge keeps it real. Does anyone miss U2 from the Joshua Tree/Rattle and Hum days? When the songs and performances touched your soul...
@@gordpedersen543 i was 1987 on U2 's Concert the Joshua Tree...it was graet i never forget to See them live,Till this time ,i Take IT in my haert ... every time ,thanks you all 😎✌️
You could always tell the man could sing just from his backing vocals, but jeez, Edge if you ever decide to do a solo album I'd definitely be interested in hearing it.
I knew The Edge had a lovely voice from hearing him sing backing vocals, but my god this is gorgeous. I think I'm even more in love with this song now... both versions.
Edge is so humble. Actually, as far as I know, Edge used to sing and he has such an amazing voice. When he sings Sunday Bloody Sunday I can feel a spark hitting my spine and my chest
Would be amazing if this acoustic version, with the Edge singing, was included on the next world tour...and it's an Achtung Baby 30th anniversary tour!
Whilst edge might not be be best technical guitarist in the world, he's one of the greatest artists, who proves time and time again that less is often more. He's the backbone of U2 in my opinion.
One of my biggest Guitar Heroes (and Musical Inspirations). The man is a 'Sonic Genius' , when it comes to Guitar Soundscapes and Riffs, etc...and he has a bloody good voice, too!
Bono wouldn't have done this (make me love U2's music) without the Edge..Together, their two voices and the unique sound to their music....make U2 awesome.
I say he is more than the soul of the band.... i add he is the technician, the genius and the scientist... every band has at least one, he is that one.... but collectively they are so good together....
I had literally tears in my eyes, at the first verse when The Edge began to sing. He have such a nice, warm and beautiful voice. Just like Bono.. I was already fan by hearing this song!
Edge, Bono, Larry & Adam - Sirs, thank you for writing this song. You are angels sent from heaven and vessels of this divine song. The vibrations that emanate from this song lifts me up to God and His divine power. I was 16 when I first heard this song and it gave me so much hope. I first heard "a la la de day" as "I have a lot of days" and the power that that phrase gave me is beyond words... The most beautiful lyrics of hope ever written can be found in this song. I'm in my 40s now and this still moves me to my core. ❤💛❤🧡❤💛❤ Thank you from the bottom of my heart.🦄🤍
i did this song in central china once in a public square (if you've ever been there you'll know what it's like) a Chinese girl who sang like an angle was playing and gave me the "stage".. So many people began to gather around, and it was a such beautiful thing. "she runs through the streets with her eyes painted red, under the black belly of a cloud in the rain" ... Thank you U2, for giving the world yet another wonderful moment to remember, even if you couldn't be there to see.. Through my not so great version, you reached out and touched the hearts of a thousand people on the other side of the world.. always my love and respect .U2 for the world
I fell in love instantely with U2 when i was 17 . I heard I will follow and i was sold. I,m 54 yewrs of age now and still love U2 . Since i,m incognito here i might as well confess that i have a crush on Bono since then☺️.!
Jenny. I’m 53 and agree with you . How good now are Boy and October after all these years? And my favourites Achtung Baby and Joshua Tree (and Unforgettable Fire).
beautiful. . . can't breathe kind of beautiful. This song has meant many things to me over the years, 18, 26, 33, 38, 41. It never fails me, but, this version. . . . it says everything.
he's just a legend... such a humble, down to earth guy... when you listen to his "solo" in With or Without You, it's the simplest yet one of the most powerful and moving solos ever... and spookily enough Edge comes from Legend...
What’s annoying is cover band guitarists judging... (Learn it like the record eh?) I love this one better than the studio or any full band live recording. Thank you for doing this Edge
Wow. Edge is just killing it and all Mario is thinking about is the pasta he is gonna have for dinner. Mario, can you act a little more impressed that the Edge is playing to you? For F**KS sake, man.
Yep. He sings the background voices in a lot of U2 hits, like “Sunday Bloody Sunday” where most of people think that it is the Bono Vox (on the studio version).
He's like a modern day Jimi Hendrix he's always exploring the sound innovation s he can get out of the guitar admittedly he has more technology to use than in Jimi s day
Imho, incredibly underrated, humble with god gifted talent. Cant wait to see him at MSG in a few days, fortunate to see him in the Red Zone! Is there anything better than watching him play Where the Streets Have No Name live?
"I don't sing", and then proceeds to melt my ears with his sweet melodic voice.
It always amazes me how similar The Edge and Bono's voices are.
It was meant to be...
Sounds more like George Harrison to me.
Decades of listening to Bono sing will do that.
Edge has an angelic voice
It's the reason I call music the language of eternity. When all is said and done...the Angels will sing!
Ikr. When he said he doesn’t sing that threw me
Edge has a great voice. One of my favorite U2 songs is Van Diemen’s Land, which I’m pretty sure he sings lead on.
All Irish people sing...so true ! Beautiful country, beautiful people. Edge is a genius. So simple, so talented, so beautiful. His sound and his music are gifts. Purity of his voice, unforgettable and powerful arpeggios. Kisses from France
Technically, Edge is Welsh. He was born in England to Welsh parents.
He wasn’t lying! Don’t give up the day job Mr Edge
Meh.
I love this. I love The Edge's humility, his talent and his loyalty.
Caroline A me too he is my number 1 guitar hero x

"I don't sing". Enough of that nonsense fella. This is a sublime performance. Beautiful.
Hes the best musician in the last 40 years.
The Edge will have an absolutely incredible solo career right up until the end if, God forbid, U2 were to ever disband. He's a musical genius no question.

He's the heart and soul of U2.
Yes, if you look you will see that he has composed alot of their songs. He has a beautiful voice and should sing more in the band.
You could always tell the man could sing just from his backing vocals, but jeez, Edge if you ever decide to do a solo album I'd definitely be interested in hearing it.
He has a solo album entitled "Captive"
A man so famous even his mom calls him the The Edge.
Edge is a genius . Can't read music but has all the U2 songs in his head. He could makexa song from anything. Beautiful voice. ❤❤❤
Edge is truly a genius
Total respect... The soul of U2!
it hit's my soul, absolutely!!! yeah:)
This amazing man has no ego. Pure talent
Edge has always had an amazing voice. If Bono can’t do it anymore for any reason then Edge can. Oh he so can.
Ladies and gentlemen . . . the Architect and Engineer of the U2 sound.
Rien de plus beau à écouter je crois ! David Evans est le maître de U2
J adore votre commentaire
My favorite guitarist of all time magical
I knew The Edge had a lovely voice from hearing him sing backing vocals, but my god this is gorgeous. I think I'm even more in love with this song now... both versions.
He sang Numb and Van Diemen's land from Zooropa and Rattle and Hum respectively.
Very underrated singer
Couldn't have sang it better myself!
Great song, timeless
You have sung it better...Zoo tv version is tops.
Realmente. Bono é mesmo brilhante.

Jimmy Page described him as a “sonic genius”.
One of the great songs they have ever done. It was never a “hit” but is a better song then many of their great, legitimate “hit” songs.
“All Irish people sing”... So true. Music is in Irish blood.
Such an underrated Guitarist and harmony vocalist. Edge is just cool.
james Robtoy how is he underrated dude ?which planet ?
What is SO BEAUTIFUL.. he is self taught ... Built his own guitars .. And he is a humble soul💙

Edge has such an amazing voice...on the same level as Paul’s
Bless you and your talent Dave Evans 🙏
Edge can sing. He complements Bono, but he’s also killing it himself. 🐑🐑🇳🇿🇳🇿NZ
the mad scientist of the band
“I don’t sing” yeah, nar. Your a singer, Edge. I loved Van Dieman’s Land on Rattle and Hum. 🇦🇺🤙🏼
"I don't sing" my ass. We've heard you plenty, Mr. Evans, and you sound plenty good to me.
The best!
The Edge is awesome.
What a talented man. God Bless you, your band, Bono, all of U2. I love EDGE.

I always thought of his voice as a more tamed Bono voice. Mesmerizing
He has a great voice and one hell of a guitar player
I SURELY AGREE
🤍 in the late 90s I used to play this on piano for my grandma she loved it 🤍 beautiful playing edge
Great version. The edge is the soul of u2
I say he is more than the soul of the band.... i add he is the technician, the genius and the scientist... every band has at least one, he is that one.... but collectively they are so good together....
There are several things I love in this world and this is one of them!

I still come back to this. Edge, you ARE a singer. This is so beautiful.
One of U2's most beautiful acoustic songs....And Of Course, the Edge!

My favorite U2 song of all time!
I know I commented on this before but this is so beautifully done . This song means so much to people like me . Enough said .

I love the magic you bring out of the guitar Edge. You remain one of my most favorite players on the planet. Inspriing you are!
The loop sounds like Just like heaven by the cure, beautifully re imagined as an accompaniment to RTSS
Beautiful! His guitar is mesmerizing. And yes, you can sing, Edge.
The Edge is Rock !!!
He could go solo, but chose otherwise, is he very introverted? An amazing talent.
The Edge is the yin to Bono's yang
What a beautiful voice
Awsome..i like much his voice and sensitivity
What’s annoying is cover band guitarists judging... (Learn it like the record eh?) I love this one better than the studio or any full band live recording. Thank you for doing this Edge
Jeez, towards the end, he sounds more like Bono than Bono does!!
Wow. Edge is just killing it and all Mario is thinking about is the pasta he is gonna have for dinner. Mario, can you act a little more impressed that the Edge is playing to you? For F**KS sake, man.
The other guy🙃 trying not to cry. Me too.
One of my all time favorite U2 songs. Edge's voice is almost a cleaner version of Bono's. Lovely!
Jackie Romanos Perfect!
When I was in primary school, The Joshua Tree vinyl came to my hand and it was one of the best things that happened in my life.
Love you so much Edge
OMG he sounds like Bono
Yep. He sings the background voices in a lot of U2 hits, like “Sunday Bloody Sunday” where most of people think that it is the Bono Vox (on the studio version).
He really does 😳
such a healing song
Still running.......Love ya Edge.
Genius !!!
Eres un poeta de la guitarra
Eres el corazón de U2... eres la melodía de U2... mueves al mundo con tu música
My favorite song from Joshua Tree...
He's like a modern day Jimi Hendrix he's always exploring the sound innovation s he can get out of the guitar admittedly he has more technology to use than in Jimi s day
Great song played by a legend in my book. Been with me for 37 y in good and bad and will continue to be as long as i am alive
