Not only does it change according to the situation, but it's fully instrument-based. The game pieces the music together from individual instruments, and even that in a proprietary format. We probably can't extract the full music from the game files anytime soon.

Janos’ Retreat is some of the most beautifully haunting ambient I’ve heard, I swear. I remember dragging my feet to finish that level just so that I could listen to it longer (though I also dragged my feet because this game is too damn short >.>).

Love this series, but in retrospect, i wish Soul Reaver 2 was more like the original with a bigger focus on exploration and secret zones. I think that was what was missing from this and defiance to make it more popular. That metroidvania design. Love the storytelling though.
This Game is very Iconic, perfectly crafted. Every few years i have to play it. The Soundtrack is so masterfully atmospheric. And the seamless transitions are among the best in Gaming history. Thank you for uploading this.

These are not errors, it is new music, it's not for nothing that a wolf sound and stuff sounds, I prefer the music from PC to PS2 which is the same as the material only that they distorted it a little, that's why I prefer the spectral ones from PS1 since they did it with different instruments

There aren't any other really concisely composed tracks of the whole OST on TH-cam, so I thank you for bringing them all together in one video (and with timestamps lmao). The whole atmosphere of this game was way ahead of its time, both the voice acting and the music easily created the most immersive and enriching experience I've ever felt in a game. It'll will always have a special place in my heart as the game that told the best story.

Agreed. But to me it's not just this game....I can't think of a fav games list without them all have great music. Music and ambience is arguably more important than visual for immersion for me.

ah yes, the Spectral Stronghold track. I haven't heard since I've played the game. Real kick in the face. I was so terrified of the demons I remember hiding behind the pillars freaking out about dying in spectral while fighting them. Feel so old now.

wait a minute the Overland - Spectral theme in my game (PC version) is different, way more twisted than the one at 1:0828. In my game warping to spectral realm at that initial lake area breaks the track, kinda like a scratched CD effect, and the whole track gets distorted beyond belief (i think it may be in reverse mode). I have no idea if that is intended or just a bug of the PC version, but it ends up doing the job lol.

Isn't dark forge spectral the same track you hear in l.o.k defiance when approaching the vampire citadel with kain?
Defiance has a modified version of the Dark Forge tracks, no spectral versions, though.

It´s a bug on pc, the instruments are played in the wrong order, or something along those lines.
