i know him personally, he is an AWESOME dj and a very humble individual who has taken the time to participate in making this video to help provide an introduction into scratching and turntabilism...the fact that you searched and came across this video means that you are reliant on people like him to learn techniques from the comfort of your own home and AT NO EXPENSE...this is also how he makes a living and he's spending his time trying to help the culture, that being said...be more appreciative
He did a good job at teaching a few fundamentals that some people might still be wondering about if they are starting up. People are hating cause he didn't then show what he could do with the sounds he taught in a faster more fluid set with his own flair added to it. I would say that is what is missing from the video, showing what the scratches can sound like once you get faster and more masterful with them and string them together.
I dont know why people are talking shit cause they obviously have to come looking for how to videos. I found this pretty helpful and am gonna try get this down to a T
@DJSeri0usBLACK this man has taken time to participate in enriching this culture and trying to make sense of its complexities for any and all who truly want to learn it. AT THE VERY LEAST him or anyone making an effort of that magnitude deserve some respect in that regard and i for one have NO PROBLEM giving it. legends like qbert still give props and geek out...watch their vids and scratch sessions. was q ball worshipping supreme or cash at scratchon?
How do I do the jack thing? Like how do I put my hand on the joystick and which way do I move the other hand while I pull with the other? I'm confused.
i have one question, i find it difficult to scratch on my hercules rmx, the movements or the seneitivity aint that good, got any tips on scratching on that ?
Thanks dude really helped me. I really wanna get into being a dj first I wanna start small like at birthday parties and stuff then work my way up so thanks for the help dude.
I Have an important question. I like placing my hand below the V pocket just at the 3-4 o'clock position on the turntable to scratch or spin the record. I feel more comfortable doing it like that. Should I Learn the most common way which is at the 9 o'clock position?
Because most humans are jealous, filthy assholes. with that said, as a DJ I find his videos VERY informing and a great teaching tool. This guy knows his stuff. I'd love to see him throw down a set. Peace to DJ DP One!
Hhhaaha i got a mixtrack just to get into dj and all but i would never talk shit about this man. He is trying to help people like me so why would i? People are just clueless about it and think oh this guy is shit. Dont see them performing at Red Bull shows and shit
Your fantastic....I think I'll hire a pro cause I could throw away all my records with me chirping, sratching, touching etc...lol OMG super hard to do, all my guests went home! adorable you, must get to Texas!
@ItsMrBang soo people can hate ALL day long and that is fine, we shrug it off as someone's opinion but when a person can genuinely acknowledge a fellow participant of the culture that's "ball worshiping"?...the only way this culture will grow is if WE build/support EACH OTHER.
People talking shit on him... Yet they have to look up tips, to do basic techniues... probably using a Nunmark Mixtrack Pro with a pirated copy of virtual dj that their mommy got them for christmas
You must love Jehovah your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. You must love your neighbor as yourself. Jesus the anointed is Lord! Repent and be baptized and believe the Gospel.
you literally have the best explanation on this whole process wtf.... why do people make things so hard?
If you hate on this guy you just don't know whats up! DPOne is super fresh!!!

Scrathing on a 45 is an art.

word that's true i mean i'm in nyc & i think learning from anybody is a great thing & being able to have youtube is a thing ppl take for granted
I like production but been having so much fun mixing lately
man, i love the way u explain! u have so much patience and also u don't have an annoying accent like many djs have
Thank you! You described this so well and accessibly.
this is obviously geared to someone who never has touched a turntable. from that standpoint, this is really well explained.
Thx man keep going, Instructive and easy to Understand..
Started video, 0:09 seconds in he said "it's the most simplest."

Very informative if any dj wants to take his or her skill to another level
Great instructions. Ok bring on Grandmaster flash so i can compete. lol Thanks. Smooth
Thank you for passing this info to beginners like me...
dope video mahn thats how you make a tutorial video!!!!!
Thank you, nice video! I'm a wannabe DJ with only decent scratching skills and I dont want to be one of them fake guys who use sync buttons and shit.
Using SYNC doesn't mean U're a fake DJ it's a part of the Technology ! 14 years i'm back in djing ain't use it
+Fils Dhaiti he's probably talking about EDM music where they pretend to play and push random buttons that do nothing
+Sinjin Van Cleef You got it
Sync buttons are on turntablisms for a reason
Does anyone know what to do if u have a record player that lifts the needle automatically when you stop the record?
Nice tutorial! Good basics.
you my hero bro... keep up the good work....
Thanks for the video, I am starting out and you do a great job of explaining. Thanks for your effort.
Thanks for posting. Very helpful!
GREAT VARIETY OF TUTORIALS..HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO GET RELATIVELY GOOD AT SCRATCHING IF YOUR PRATICING DAILY??? ANY GENERAL IDEA???
Would say anywhere from two weeks to 3 to 4
i have one question, i find it difficult to scratch on my hercules rmx, the movements or the seneitivity aint that good, got any tips on scratching on that ?

Are those 2 of the same turntables?
Think they might be
What kind of turntables are most durable for scratching?
Probably Stanton DJ turntables. That seems like the best brand for DJ's

i learnt nothing. the information is so basic anyone could figure that out just by looking at a turntable
