How many controllers have you tested? Im using pro controller right now but I dont know what I should get. I would get dual sense edge but I kinda want more than 2 back buttons. I like aim assist though, feels broken. Just put aim assist to the lowest value so it only activates the slowdown/snap when youre directly on the character but leave "follow" assist at the highest. Im sure thats op though, its like you said, mouse with aim assist.
Bro so I’ve been tweaking with the camera remap inputs in steam and while flick stick is the best option for right stick me being a beginner I think face direction with right stick is a good bridge to learn gyro + flick stick without losing full right stick ability the only thing is it lacks customization but imo it’s a fair trade off compared to flick stick fully taking over the right stick
Another thing you can try is to use the default analog stick to control the camera but disable vertical movement. That way you will get used to using gyro to look up and down.
4x. I played with 3x for a long time, now I am trying to play with 4x horizontal sens and 3x vertical sens. (You can do that on Steam by changing the horizontal/vertical ratio).
@@FlickStickVidsSweet! I’ve been playing with x10 sen + 45% vertical sens all along since I’ve started Gyro Flick stick with acceleration off. I’m still fiddling around to see what is right for me, but your videos have been helping a lot 😊
@@FlickStickVids Maybe I need to just watch another one of your videos, but how do you get full directional movement (even with flick stick)? I play gyro in Fortnite and I believe I run 9x. With a low multiplier, aiming precise was certainly easier, but I wanted the most directional control without too much hassle. Maybe I need to get better with ratcheting, but I did get decent at it.
@humanbeing9086 I don't really know what you mean. You mean analog movement? Like you push a little bit of the analog stick and the character walks instead of running? Because having gyro and omnidirectional movement in this game is impossible because, like mentioned in the video, this game doesn't allow for mixed inputs, so the analog stick is emulating WASD.
This config works on multiple controllers. So saying "Square" (for ps controllers) or "Y" (for Nintendo controllers). So it's easier to just say East, West, North and South buttons.
i have few questions 1. if the game don't have mixed input support and don't have Motion Controls be default do you able to add gyros scope. 2. wean game have the option play with multiple player's local multiplayer do you able to have add gyros for each off thos 4 player's ? the reason i ask is because the game I'm have the option to play up to 4 players at least 3 off the 4 player have to use controller's and the first 1 need to have keyboard or mouse 🖱 or controller it's fps game and some time in the future it may add Motion Controls be default but i have 0 idea how to add this option yet. the reason my game don't have mixinput is because off this option to play with 4 player's on the same device i will probably i will be possible to add mixinput in the future if you make custom binding, but even you make custom binding add mixed input you will not able to have 2 misc. to work at the same time.
Answer to 1: Yes you can add motion controls if the game don't have mixed input. What you need to do, is change all the keybinds on the controller to Mouse & Keyboard keys and set the Gyro as Mouse. Keep in mind that means controller rumbles/haptics won't be active in this case because your game is now reading your controller as a M&K (but you wouldn't want any rumble to interrupt the gyro sensors anyway). Need more clarification with 2 though. Do you mean local multiplayer as in Split screen co-op where everyone share one device? Or do you mean LAN local multiplayer where each person is playing on a different PC?
I don't know if steam can emulate multiple keyboards and mice. But if you want to add gyro to your game, you should check out the gyro wiki made by Jibb Smart, I believe the link is in the description.
@@FlickStickVids that is not the issue in most game in my game as well no matter if you connect 1 multiple mice the accept thos as 1 the same device. in my game ther is the option to play up to 4 players on the same device with split screen, that means even if you emulate the mouse for gyro only 1 player off thos player able to take advantage on this gyroscope, that means i achieve nothing with that because my game already have keyboard and mouse support be default the question is how to take advantage on gyroscope in all off thos 4 players, have support for gyroscope in whatever controller 🎮 player have that has gyroscope no matter if you play with own or with multiple players on the same device.
Hi, thanks for your video, I tried this tutorial, but when I enter this game's play mode(XDefiant online match or practice), it just kept warn me that I have to use 1 control way I selected in game. And when this happen, Keyboard/Mouse and Gamepad are unable to control my character. Any suggestion to solve this ? (I'm using 3rd party Switch Controller)
Are you using a third party program to connect your controller to your pc? If the answer is yes, then disable that program and let steam do all the work. Another thing: as explained in the video there are 2 "action sets". One for using menus (gamepad bindings) and one for gameplay (keyboard and mouse emulation). The "share" button will toggle between them. You can test if the configuration didn't automatically change to the gameplay action set. The last thing that I can think of is: make sure the input method in the settings of the game is set to "keyboard and mouse".
@RoseRoo Steam has a bug that when you export a config, the gyro enable button is reseted. Go to edit layout, gyro to mouse, and click the gear icon. Then on the "gyro enable button" press "select none".
Gyro on mnk is worse for you long term but because you are not building mouse muscle memory completely not worth using it’s worth getting good at controller and practicing because
