I loooove that they listened to the community. Now I just need to get myself a PS5 game pad to fully enjoy the fruits of their labor. Game is so fun. It would be nice to win a ranked tournament someday lol😂
Awesome video, I sacrificed the weapon inspection. And I learned from other games that using R2 to fire weapon can pull the reticle to the right unintentionally. So I bind the trigger to trackpad and my gyro off is R2, with a dual sense edge I can access everything really quickly, jump and slide bound to the underneath buttons. Even trying acceleration now and I like it, and turning instantly on enemy combatants when they think they have the advantage is really cool. Gotta love flick stick.
I have ONE SINGLE gripe with the PS5 Dualsense controller. They changed the shape of the touchpad so it no longer curves upward over the top of the controller. Back when I played Fortnite primarily on PS4, you could use your finger over the edge of one of the bumpers to press the Touchpad with your index finger. I loved using this extra button for editing in Fortnite, and I think it could have been very useful. A kinda half alternative is Pro controllers with the extra buttons on the back, but you can only bind those to other buttons you'd already be using, unlike how Steam Input handles the back paddles on the Steam Deck. EDIT: I wonder if someone could 3D Print an adapter to make pressing the touchpad easier like I mentioned. EDIT 2: I found something kinda similar. On Printables, I found an adapter which lets you press the triggers with some extra grip buttons on the back of the controller. The listing is called "DualSense/PS5 Controller Paddles for L2 & R2". It seems that with this, you can take your fingers from the triggers and use them at the back of the controller, which might feel more natural than stuffing them all together on the bumpers and triggers like that lol.
great guide as always! i'd love the function to use the touch function of the trackpad as a gyro-on/off button. so we could use it for gyro ratcheting like on the Alpakka.
Great video! The last point is why I still use JSM (that and I already have it set up nice). I usually just bind gyro disable to the interact button because it doesn't do anything when you're in a fight away from any interactable objects. In The Finals since "pick up" and "interact" are two different binds, I use "pick up" as the disable gyro button, and I bound the reload button to interact when held. Works out great for me, just wish you could do it with the in-game options.
Good stuff! Though I must say I find it difficult to use flick stick for this game for two reasons: 1. it can get pretty fast paced & 2. there's a lot of vertical movement involved which means I have to correct my hand/controller position way more than I'm used to. I'm sure I could get it down with practice but it's hard to move away from the more Splatoon style set up I normally run.
Is anyone else experiencing that the flick stick is not working properly? When I flick behind for instance, I dont turn 180 degrees. It seems to overshoot a bit
I have some problem. I set my sens as 6. But when I turn slowly, the sensitivity is smaller (about 2 or 3?) even I have closed acceleration, sometimes I can't move camera like it is turning back, and when I stop, the camera will turn back slowly. That is wierd. I also use rewasd to play cs2 and tarkov, and it is fine. So Im sure my controller is fine. Is it my setting's wrong or The Final is wrong?
They really added flickstick? I'm downloading so going to try out in the evening after the work. Love this game so much but Abandoned due to clumsy steam input configuration
I think you've skipped on a quirk here. Apparently, the gyro can also be disabled when using the Flick Stick itself. It feels weird, but at least it's not required to override a button function in the game. I just pushed the Flick Stick forward to disable it and do gyro ratcheting that way.
For a mobile player gyro aiming has always been the best thing that ever happened for pubg, cod gaming. What i don’t understand is why its not that common for controller players like just get used to it and then see your aim. Also the stick drift issue is solved by this for the right analog stick.
I have a legion go and gyro option seems to be turned off for some reason. Can you tell me how to activate it somehow? Or am I blocke out completely ;(
I'm pretty sure I said this in the video, but this feature is exclusive to playstation controllers. You can use input remappers like Steam and reWASD to force this feature. But it won't be the same as the native implementation. You can learn more here: th-cam.com/video/8qFG1AlVHq0/w-d-xo.htmlsi=ZTR-yB7fHtFd1-Gn
I prefer the disable button. Usually I set the disable button and the punch button to R3. But this game doesn't allow that, so I disabled gyro by clicking the trackpad.
@@FlickStickVids I tried the disable button for a while, for instance in Fortnite but it felt awkward and i kept losing focus... i wonder if i could get used to resetting camera with look stick over time. But it requires insane coordination to move hand one direction and the look stick to the opposite direction while keeping aim steady.
Hey man! Awesome video. Could you recommend me the current best gyro controller for PC? It's a little overwhemling with names like Binbok, 8Bitdo, etc. Thanks!
Dualsense has the best gyro sensor. Personally I still prefer the DualShock4 tho. I have never tried a third party controller that I would recommend over a first party one.
Excellent break-down! These are top-tier settings. Absolutely fantastic.

Even though I’m terrible with gyro aim it’s great it’s being added to more games, feel much better.
If youre someone like me who disables gyro with L3 (Sprint) you can set auto sprint on in the settings and use that bind :) pretty good workaround

I let the devs know!
@@JunkerJames where did you go to tell them? would be great to know so a bunch of gyro community members can also chime in
@@caleasthetic privately. Used to work with a couple of them.
@@JunkerJames damn this is awesome, would be amazing if you could tell them to get rid of the autocalibration as well, if even possible💙

Splatoon has the added bonus of having very low gyro sensitivities. With higher sens, these problems can be mitigated.

hope arrowhead also add these features in helldivers 2
Helldivers2 already has gyro, but it's not that good there.

one question. does it need to be used wired? It seems to be the case, which is a downer.
On PC, yes.
On console, no.
someone help on mine the gyro tab is grayed out and i can't open it.
Disable steam input then open the game.
Make sure you are using a Dualshock4 or a DualSense.
hopefully xdefiant has gyro, or maybe u can help me find a good way to use gyro in xdefiant in the meanwhile!please
Yoooo I'm in the video!
In my opinion, gyroscope is the best possible feature fir aiming. A god in keyboard and mouse cannot beat a god in Gyro.
Hey mate can you tell me how to yse gyro in xdefiant
How do you recommend resetting your controller location? Should i be holding the disable button or reset the camera with look stick?
I prefer the disable button. Usually I set the disable button and the punch button to R3. But this game doesn't allow that, so I disabled gyro by clicking the trackpad.

Yeah. You can try to use the reset vertical camera button, instead of the disable button.
The default gyro for mobile are rows.

@user-wx1jp9xb2 No. Just buy a DualSense.
i cant turn on the finals gyro
Which platform and controller?
baffling why valorant won't have this on the console version as a option and sticking with aim assist/focus mode
They should just let me connect a mouse
