The part in this movie when the cop shoots the food out of the zombie's hands always cracks me up. The zombie just looks at the cop like"why did you do that for?"
Ohio local here. Its pronounced Ak-rin, not Ak-ron. Love the review, I always love seeing Ohio related cult movies. Another great one is the hyper-violent gang action movie Deadbeat at Dawn, set in Dayton OH (pronounced Dayte-in, not Dayte-on).
I grew up in the 80's and I've never heard of this movie. Great review.

I thought i was the only person in human history who'd saw this film till i stumbled across this review. I saw this in the mid 90s on VHS, i quite liked the film, it's more comedy than horror, but i enjoyed it for what it was, an under the radar cult Zombie flick.

The Raime cop sounds like Bruce Campbell.
TravellingShoes That’s because Bruce Campbell actually did voice Raime since due to technical issues they couldn’t use the original sound of the film at the time. All the voices and sound effects had to be re done. Only JR Bookwalter, Bogdan Pecic and Scott Spiegel got to re voice their characters unfortunately!

Great review, always had a soft spot for this film, it's one of my favorite low budget zombie films .

I thought I was the only person who ever saw this movie. I rented it from a local Hollywood Video store many years ago and thought it was crazy to say the least. Once I heard the worker say it was filmed in Akron , a few hours where Im from (Toledo), I instantly thought it was cool. I was sort of let down, because its B movie quality at best, but seeing how it was almost a love letter to other horror movie directors made me like it even more.
Such a great low budget home-brew film. Other than names it basically parodies characters from Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 (Chop Top) and cult leader Jim Jones.
