    First of all, I attended three out of four games between the White Sox and the Mariners. And in the 4th game, the Sox came to play. Because they did not want to get swept in a four game series. And it showed.
    Their starting pitcher was simply electric. I could hear the ball pop in the catcher's mit from the stands. And he led his team to this victory. That was one if the best performances I've ever seen. Simply dominate.
    And I think that they would have beaten any team that night. They were not going to be denied.
    Plus, they only gave up 2-runs. And the Mariners lost by only one run. My oh my.... if anyone loves a game with great pitching and great defense. That was it. There was defensive gem after defensive gem throughout the entire game. From both teams.
    Ya, I could have watched 30 innings of that level of baseball. But unfortunately, the game had to end. I was buzzing for three hours from that game.
    And so, the point I'm trying to make is..... give a little credit to the White Sox. I was privileged to see one of the best defensive games, period.

    They have at least a 5 year window to capture a championship or 2, however Dipoto can't blow, at some point in the postseason they will have to out hit the other team. When you want what you've never had, you must do what you've never done. Don't blow it Dipoto

    They started out slow, but not sure where he got 8-16 from. Maybe he meant to say 4-8, since they had 19 wins by the time they had 16 losses.

      But it is further away. As a byproduct Seattle teams travel more miles than every other team in every sport. That equals to more time flying as well obviously.

    On paper, without Ty France and Polanco (both injured), they have the worst infield in major league baseball. Their offense is putrid.

    Reading these comments is pathetic. Tired of these casual Mariners ‘fans’ and negative take on everything. They’re playing good baseball, getting stellar starting pitching, and scoring just enough runs. Yes the offense isn’t doing as well as we’d like but we’re not even halfway through the season. And jeeeezuzzzz Christ, they’ve been in first place the past month and separating themselves from the division almost every day.
    Go M’s!!

    this team can win a world series this season if they add 2 big bats

      I don't disagree with you...but that's a vague comment. Who, realistically, are the two big bats they can add that would get them to the point they can win a World Series?

    • @stevenlindberg8347
      @stevenlindberg8347 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Yeah but if we're being honest they should have added the bats before 2023 or 2024 so if they didn't do it then why would they do it now all of a sudden

    • @mikemcaleer8015
      @mikemcaleer8015 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Realistically, best case scenario is one more big bat like a Pete Alonso or a Luis Robert. After that, hopefully they upgrade the bullpen a little bit. I could see this M’s team winning a ton of 3-2 playoff games and pitching their way to a World Series.

    With Brown, it feels like a situation where they were doing something in a very different way than everyone else, and were the worst in the game at it.

    • @Azeria
      @Azeria 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah, that’s my read too. Namely Garver and Polanco regressed so badly that something was wrong with the messaging, I think something with Brown’s strategy was just confusing to the veteran players, and it certainly wasn’t helping the young and home grown guys either.

    Starting pitching yes, fun team to watch as girly said at the end?? Hard NO. Their lineup is a tap water flavored popsicle. I hate watching them. I don't know what it is about players that go to Seattle but guys who hit well their entire careers come to Seattle and suddenly look like they're swinging a wet pool noodle. It reminds me of the Seahawks and their offensive line. No matter who they bring in, coaches or players, they become these floundering, ineffectual wuss bags who'll swing at a pick off move.

    • @JG-ne1sd
      @JG-ne1sd 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Girly? Pretty derogatory start there. Also, these guys are facing 100mph+ with movement against pitchers who have sliders that look like they're going to hit you in the face and a -20mph change to make a batter look completely inept. If there's a task harder than that in sports, I'm not able to come up with it atm.

      @razorchuckles They clearly have problems going through their counts. I guess, they have some insane analytics insight that tells players to better have 2 Ks and a big blast than having 2 hits. Which would also explain why they always play to their competition.

    Don’t get me wrong, castillo, kirby and gilbert are good pitchers...they have been together since 2022 and have been said to be the best starting rotation in all of baseball by the sometimes clueless sports media...but still haven’t won anything worth noting...but yes, the rest of the league does fear them...🙄Its also funny how they mention the mariners possibly weak schedule so far in the season but divish sidestepped the comment. 😂

  • @Andrew-kx2ek
    @Andrew-kx2ek 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Starting rotation, good? I guess a pitchers overall record doesn’t matter...It makes me laugh when the sports media is so desperate to puff up certain teams or players and in turn ignore the facts. Or when they claim a certain pitcher is the ace of that team, even though the pitcher has a losing record! 😂woo, has the best overall record and his been out due to a injury that never was an injury, according to the mariners. 🙄

    • @kythian
      @kythian 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      A pitcher's Win-Loss record means next to nothing. You can have the best pitcher in the world, but if he gets no run support he isn't getting the win. And the Mariners' offense isn't giving the rotation the run support. Pitching W/L means nothing.

    • @Andrew-kx2ek
      @Andrew-kx2ek 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@kythianwins and losses does mean something, otherwise it wouldn’t be noted in a pitcher’s stats…Yes, u can say that the mariners aren’t giving the rotation run support…but, that can go both ways as well…maybe the pitcher needs to do a better job knowing that his lineup isn’t going to provide them with multiple runs

    • @kythian
      @kythian 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Andrew-kx2ek How in the world does that make any sense? If Paul Skenes or Luis Gil go into a game and their team scores NO RUNS, he can't win the game! Full stop!
      Knowing the content of your own lineup has zero bearing on what the opposing lineup can do. Knowing that you need to keep the opposition from scoring has no bearing on whether or not you give up a run.
      As a former pitcher, I can, with compete confidence, assure you that I NEVER wanted to give up runs. Ever. The desire to not give up runs DOES NOT AFFECT the other team! I had zero control over the run support I received.

    • @Andrew-kx2ek
      @Andrew-kx2ek 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@kythianIt made a lot of sense! So Skenes is pitching and his team scores only 1 run for him the entire game but, the opposition scores 2 runs against him while he was still in the game…Final Score 2-1 and Skenes ends up with the loss. It was his own doing, in his team losing the game, NOT because of the lack of Run Support that he didn’t receive! Of course, every pitcher wants their team to score multiple runs…who wouldn’t.
      Of course if his team doesn’t score a single run for him and the other team scores 1 or more, than yes the loss would be viewed in a different way. In all the games that castillo has pitched in, he has only lost a game in which his team didn’t score a single run for him…so it doesn’t happen as often for a pitcher. So, it’s interesting how his overall record stands at 7-7 and only once he received ZERO run support so, either he should have done better in his games lost or he’s just not that good of a pitcher this season with his 7-7 record that does mean something….Full Stop!
