The only complaint that I have with this set is I wish that the flying armor wing could collapse for storage mode like in the anime. The thing that I really like about the old HGUC MK-2 model is the safety nubs on the V fin that does look nice without any modification. I wish more current high grade Gundam would do more of these type of V fin.
Here's your choices: 1. Buy either the old Super Gundam or the Gundam Mk.II + Flying Armor but if you buy both, you'll have 2 Mk.II's. 2. Buy the Mk.II Revive along with the P-Bandai G-Defenser and Flying Armor. 3. Buy the RG if you want a bit more light proportions. Don't know if the P-Bandai G-Defenser will fit to the RG.
“Do I want to buy this?” Yes, because I did. It was the third HG Gundam Mark II I ever bought. Even used it’s backpack to transfer to the GM III as even though they’re the same, the Mark II had the hole to mount the G-Defenser from the P-Bandai G-Defenser + Flying Armor kit which I needed to make the Super GM III.
I have this kit and did not throw away the beam saber toothpic but instead cut the fake beam and made a hole to accomodate a beam effect part to it so i can use it.
Watching this, my gosh I remember how I have beside me this Hyaku Shiki from 2005 as well. This thing is a godsend compared to the paralyzed waist down movement of my clear color ver. Front skirts can't even move up. As you said this thing is a killer deal as compared to a vast majority of kits at this time. *also jeez that's a lot of mkIIs. Review compilation of all your current ones when haha
I got my copy of this kit recently-ish. I think it took a fall at some point, cos the slot the stand slides in to was wrenched out slightly so the fit has loosened. Still a good kit regardless though the wings could've been removable for easier storage, cos it won't fit in the typical sandwich bags i use for my kits. I'll have to use the "medium" bags that i use for MGs.
Ive yet to buy a mk II and this video just reminded me yet again "which to buy?!" though i think i might end up getting this one, i've learned to cover seams pretty well and might buy a decal set for it.
Yea you see Kamille jump on and off that thing quite a few times out of nowhere. My guess is it is a part time slave that stays close to the Mk.II until the pilot directs it to do otherwise, or controls it directly.
So this may be the wrong vid to ask this on, but I had a question and was interested in your opinion. I was wondering which of the Gundams that saw use in the one year war was the most powerful or dangerous in your opinion.
Really glad that i have a used this flying armor, but the pretty upset because the connector to the stand is broken 😥 a tamiya glue is fine but not enough 😁
Try using the superglue/bakingsoda combo. The stuff hardens quickly and is much stronger than superglue alone. The only potential problems are powder cleanup (a damp toothbrush works fine) and a bit of excess to remove with a hobby file.
I guess it's a good thing that the shop next to my house is still open and looking for staff, Gundam MK2 Army here I come! (The Gryphos War set does look really cool and did I spell that right?) also I just wanna point out that It's possible to watch this in 4k somehow... the hell?
probably funny if there's a P-Bandai set that has the original flying Armor, not a new mold at all, that comes packaged with the Revive version of the Mk-II, basically lazily recycling old kits, lol.
I don't think so, I don't have Kampfer, but I think it's because the upper body is heavy, so the joint isn't strong enough to hold it. Besides, HG is pretty light because of the empty space inside of it
@@crist3809 Around the time of the RG Mk II's release; there was a P-Bandai 2-pack of both the HGUC Flying Armor & G-Defensor with compatibility parts so the RG could use it. About the RG itself: it IS a really good kit, my only issue with it are the fiddly pipes in the shoulders, backpack, knees & ankles.

@@aquaticlandshark352 Using the type 89 and type 94 base jabber as reentry vehicle would be suicide consider those thing are basically giant fuel tanks with booster and space in between for the MS to ride on.

Isn't this flying armor just appeared in just 1 episode?? Interesting they make money with this thing... Yes, I don't expect weapon on MK-II left cheek will be that bulky cause on the game it was on well proportion,

Well it is the MK II it’s one of the best mobile suits in Gundam series

The P-Bandai Flying Armor/G-Defensor were released to go with the RG Mk2 so compatibility shouldn't be an issue.

Man the extra lighting and upgraded camera makes the review vry professional and snazzy looking
Wouldn't mind getting this kit or even that Flying Armor+G Defenser two-pack for an RG AEUG Mk.II. I'll most likely get this kit though.

Thank you for not doing an April fool's day video. Good break of pace from everyone else is doing
i have been arguing about getting this kit and this review made me want to get it tbh.
For some reason, the G-Defenser and Flying Armor set is sitting somewhere in my local hobby shop, waiting for someone to get it...
I'll get it.
the old hg mk II is my first gunpla 'casue it was on sale for 6$ and the funny thing is that I only wanted to try to build a gunpla

So is the flying armor piloted or is it just a drone?
Probably a drone, i hope.
It seems like its somehow remote controlled by the Mk.II's pilot.

Definitely buying this now! Thank you for the review!
Will the flying armor work with the revive mk ii
I'm considering to buy this just for the flying armor alone. As for MK II, I prefer the Revive proportion.
Does the Mk2 revive compatible with the flying armor??

It's written as "Gryphios War" on the box, although the war itself is usually called the "Gryps War".
And yeah, I recently upgraded to a 4k camera.

I understand your love for the GM Custom, but why the Always bulky Zaku III ? could you explain the origin of your love for this MS ?
Because it's awesome
And its competitor to the Doven Wolf which is similarly bulky but its arms and legs more long and skinny compared to the Zaku III
its his trademark by this point, and i love it that way
I saw that there ws a 3 party kit of this plus the G defender, thanks for the reminder that I need to get it

Space Jabber? Flying Armor?
Why is called a flying armor when it is literally a base jabber?
I think cuz in the anime a flying armour can be used for atmospheric re-entry but a base jabber is only for mobile suit transport within the atmosphere.
It's not a Base Jabber. The Base Jabber doesn't have a triangular profile, and can't be used as a Waverider for atmospheric entry.
