I remember my "final straw" moment as I was reading my cable bill and at the time was $225+ and they were going to raise the price...now as a cord cutter I save so much money. Having an OTA antenna is awesome.
COOL! As the streaming service grows they don’t have all the local channels for every small community. I will have to get an antenna to see if I can get all our locals! Thanks!
Great video and information, I didn't know that I could install my local new stations on my Amazon 4K Firestick. I have a friend that wants to watch NFL games on his Firestick, what do you recommend?
@CuriosityCafe yes i did downloader but it's not in the Amazon app store i try all the ways to get the new 1 still cant dont no y i have a firestick 4k still
OTG adapter allows for a USB port. Then you plug the USB from the antenna to it. Pretty simple once you have all the equipment. Have you watched our videos on expansion? It demonstrates the otg connection. It's a pass through splitter
Ok, but how do I watch my local CBS channel on a Saturday afternoon for the college football games as they are playing live? The sports channels in Pluto n such don't show those. PGA golf is often on NBC n CBS in Sunday afternoon l, but they aren't in Pluto. That's what I want. (Too far away from city for an antenna to work well)
I want to know how to plug an antenna into my fire stick or my TV and what brand of antenna do you recommend.I also wanted to know is it possible to set up channel guide like cable or customize with all of my favorite channels.I am not the most tech savvy but decent in learning and new to streaming.
With an OTG adapter. We have all the products needed and links in the description section of the video. Just click the title of the video to see the description.
Just realize you will more than likely have to move the antenna ALOT to find best spot. Especially if it is an indoor antenna. I use a piece of coax and a pair of pliers for my antenna. Works just as well. 😂😮
Thanks for the info. Do you have a video on how to get local channels from a different city using a VPN and what are the best VPN’s for TV’s and costs? Thank you.
Yes we have a few videos like that on the channel. The best one by far is www.expressvpn.com/curiositycafe - With that link you'll also get 3 months extra free
Range depends on the antenna and your location. WiFi won’t matter for antenna range. I have a very expensive one here that has a 3 state range, but the one in this video might be around 50 miles. I would have to check the specs

Keep up the good work.
Great video, thanks
Is this only for viewers in America. How will this work for Firestick viewers in the UK?
Just need a VPN and you can do all the same things
Another banger!

@CuriosityCafe yes i did downloader but it's not in the Amazon app store i try all the ways to get the new 1 still cant dont no y i have a firestick 4k still
Oh it won’t be in the Amazon App Store for you. It needs to be side loaded. We provided the links as mentioned
@CuriosityCafe no please let me no the link bro please
Love the channel, keep it coming. How can i get Scottish football
How can the atenna plug into the OTG and firestick? The antenna has a coaxial cable end and not usb.
The one I shared has both coax and the adapter to USB. Did you get the correct one?
I do not understand how to connect the antenae to the OTG adapter. and then to the firestick.

Can you do a video to show how you can watch live antenna TV with just the fire stick? And without needing a coax.
Yes, have one coming soon

Antenna. Cheap option and no monthly fee. We talk about that

No, once set you are good. These are HD amplified antennas. Not old school like you are talking about. Best of luck
I haven’t seen anything from a while thank goodness I thought it was over
We post almost daily. Click on our channel name, then click the bell in the corner and turn to all. You might not have notifications on
Thought u would of talked about new apps but great information either way

I have Catch on tv... will that work for me
@@elainegiamo1935 I have catch on also. I love it. But that has nothing to do with using an antenna.
Range if antenna? Is this even a concern if it's working with wifi( is it?)

thx
How do I add the apps to the guide thanks
You can set it in your setting to automatically sync, or you can click the three dashed lines on your remote and add manually.
@CuriosityCafe I'm so sorry I still can't figure it out I'm trying to add the Roku channel to the guide
Are you in the US? The Roku automatically populates after adding the app and restarting the stick ( as long as your settings are proper )
@@CuriosityCafe yes I am I'll try and figure it out thanks
Arenthese news channel live
Yes, if you watch as I go through them, they say which ones are live. Many are
I pay for what I use , but cable channels were a real joke .
