People say how crazy expensive his line is, but like, it really isn't.....look at the garbage like La Mer or La Praire $600+ for serums that do nothing. I actually think his line is reasonably priced for the effects and science.
100% agree! But some people can't afford it. So in my other skincare videos, I try to give more affordable alternatives.

I've been using the brand for 6 months now and honestly speaking I've had no issues compared to the other brands I've used which gave me dry/flaky skin and inflammation

I am a licensed, FS, BWS, CME and MPS. I resisted ZO for months until meeting Doctor Obagi at a conference. The way he thinks about science of skin is the way I internalized it as I learned it. There is literally no one that does what he does. Dr. Zein Obagi is to Esthetics what Michael Jackson is to Pop Music, he is a revolutionary, and there is no one better in solution based skin care.
I have never met a product that can so dramatically change the appearance, texture, and health of skin... what a gift he is to our community in Clinical Esthetics, and what a beautiful contribution to society. Michele Dodson I used the original in my 40’s love the result. However I have noticed most Skin care doctor don’t sell it any more , Ima now in my 50’s looking for a skin care line but nothing has given me rustlers like this like. What do you suggest since you are an esthetic I know this video was tape in a couple of years back .

Hi Marina! Dr. Obagi sold his original line many years ago. His new line is ZO Skin Health. It's fantastic! Whereas the old line stopped making the giant leaps in innovative new products, ZO Skin Health (Dr. Obagi's new line) has continue to strive forward. Only Zo Skin Health institutes (which have been trained by Dr. Obagi) and ZoSkinHealth.com carry this line. I have found it in a few plastic surgery offices, but it's rare. Hope this helps.

I've recently learnt about Dr Obagi and ZO skincare. I'm about a week in and it is very tough to drop the usual moisturiser but I truly believe this will make my skin stronger over time. At the moment it is flaking like crazy but I can see the difference already in regards to breakouts and feel really good knowing that the ingredients are working from within as opposed to just masking. To be honest, I feel like I know a secret most of the world isn't aware of!
I’ve worked with a various skin care lines but Obagi products are simply the best - very predictable for the me as a practitioner and incredibly effective for my patients. Yes, they are pricy but you get the result that you are paying for.

I’ve tried so many brands/lines (drugstore, medical, pharmacy to luxury) over the past 20 years and have not come across anything like his line. It truly is exceptional. My skin was always good but now it is the best it’s ever been.
My aesthetician’s office carries his products. I use the gentle cleanser at night and it is lovely! My face feels so clean but not tight or dry. I also use the Texture and Wrinkle Repair. I think between his products and getting dermaplaning done once a month, my skin looks better now then when I was in my 40’s. I’m 56. I think it’s never to late to start taking better care of your skin. Removing my makeup each night made a big difference for my skin.

Doctor Obagi saved my skin. When moved from Warm weather to Canada my akin got so dry and flaky especially around the chin and used to break. I used his line and i was like how an i going to fix dry skin without moisturizer.. guess what? It worked.. my akin never broke never got dry or itchy my face go so much better.. i used the Nuderm line .. it is magic

I totally agree! I am not a brand ambassador for any skincare company because I feel my viewers wouldn't trust that I could remain 100% objective when I review and recommend products. With that said, when I talk enthusiastically about Zo Skin Health products by Dr. Obagi, it is the truth. I have never found a product line that I believe in more than this one. They really are the BEST products on the market today!

Changed my skin. I’m on year 3 of GSR. My aesthetician has me on a 5-6 step ( when I can afford) and it’s been life changing. Absolutely life changing for me. I had that sensitive-dry skin. I can now use. Tretinoin and ZOSKIN hydroquinone pigment blending every single night. I use the Vitamin C/hydroquinone 3 months on 3 w his Vitamin C Ossential w/o hydroquinone. ( I just ran out! Sad!!)

About eight years ago, I had an appt with Dr Zo at his Beverly Hills office; I purchased the products he suggested. At first my skin became dry and peeled a bit (he told me to expect that phase). A few weeks later, my skin looked lovely! Once in a while I'm tempted to buy the latest/greatest products out there by other dermatologists, but I always come back to the Zo Skincare line. On moisturizers: Dr Obagi is not big into moisturizers...
His products are the holy grail of skin care.
I am 22 years old now. I am using the retinol of Obagi. I think that needs to improve the skin because of having a little acne. I want to boost the skin, especially preventing the anti-aging.

My skin glow from his products. I started to use products from Shiseido, Sisley and Clarins when I was 16 and I'm 35 now. They are still good products, but I can't compare them with ZO Skin products. I have sensitive skin with rosacea. I didn't try his Retinols from Dr. Obagi, but all oder products as cleansers, creams, tonics, Vitamin C are amazing.

Yes I have look and I live in south Texas & it’s not sold hear :( I don’t like to order on line because I want someone to look at my skin them make the recommendations like I did with obagi

I'd make the trip to the nearest dermatologist he's trained. Once you have a program to follow, you can just order online after that. Just a suggestion. Hope that helps.

He talks about stop using moisturisers.. but he has face cream products containing ingredients that moisturisers mainly have.. water/glycerin/seed oils etc.. so I’m just curious now lol
Hi! It's the skincare concept that is important here. I'm not saying that NONE of his products contain moisture, they have to be able to glide on the skin, but it's a balance of drying and protecting (and maybe a little moisture for application) to get the skin to behave like it did before it stopped producing collagen. Most of his products do not contain heavy moisture. If you moisturize too much, you create lazy skin cells. You want the moisture to come from within, not slathered on the top. Over-moisturizing with creams signal your cells that They don't need to create their own moisture. I hope this makes sense.
I am waiting for some of these products. I can't wait until I can pick them up from the skin care clinic I visited recently.

I personally put skincare as a top priority. I would rather skip eating out, Starbucks coffees, or expensive cocktails out with friends in order to afford the best skincare. It's amazing how those things we think are "necessities" are really luxuries. To me, great skincare is a necessity.

He sold the original Obagi Nu Derm line to a pharmaceutical company. They still use his name to market the products but he has no affiliation with Nu Derm anymore. ZO skin is his new company and in some ways is a newer and improved line. It’s amazing! It’s expensive but if you compare it to companies like La Mer it isn’t nearly as expensive as that. And La Mer is junk. Most skincare in department stores are junk.
Can i please ask, when Dr Obagi talks about his new range vitamin c being air tight to help it not to oxidise. What about his vitamin c in the droper glass bottle. As he says that the vitamin c in a dropper bottle would become inactive in about 2 weeks after opening, cause its been exposed to air and light.
Hi Tash! The vitamin C in the dropper glass bottle will eventually oxidize and be ineffective. If you are consistent, and use it every morning, you could use it up before it loses its potency. Just make sure your close it tight immediately and store it in a drawer, away from sunlight. Topical Vitamin C is a very unstable substance, so that's why Dr. Obagi designed this type of packaging for this product. Honestly, I use Dr. Obagi's Vitamin C (C-Bright Serum by Zo Skin Health) on my face every morning. But I use C-E-Ferulic Acid by Skin Ceuticals or Timeless brand on my neck and chest as I feel it is easier to spread around. I keep it sealed tight though and in a dark drawer.

Well, it's never too late to make a difference. And there is no time like the present to begin. 160 pounds is a lot of weight to lose. Bravo! I'm sure your organs and joints are feeling much healthier. Hats off to you! That's amazing.
However, with rapid weight loss (and with any drastic weight fluctuation) your skin is what suffers. It's like blowing up a balloon and then deflating it. You are left with excess skin that doesn't seem to snap back. Ugh. I feel for you. I'm not an advocate for plastic surgery, but sometimes (especially in cases of drastic weight loss) it's the only thing that will make a significant difference. To get a good work done is SOOOO expensive though. And you NEVER ever want to get discount work done on your face. That's a big no no. So, if surgery is not something you either want or can afford, I HAVE found that there are a few less expensive things that help with saggy skin. Nu Face at-home device is one of them. It's an investment of a hundred dollars plus, but if you are consistent, you will see a difference. Also, you should be micro-needling at least once a week and dry brushing every single day. I have videos on all of this, so make sure you check them out. I would have to see your face to know if you are a candidate for a Sugar-Thread Lift. And I would recommend Ulthera skin tightening laser for the jawline, but that too can be very expensive. Good for you! I lost 30 pounds and my face changed. There is no cure to sagging skin but keep using body cream with AHA with the highest % you can find. Using ZO & Skinmedica tns serum can help but not a cure. Also there is laser, fraxel and such but all is very expensive that do help compatible drugstore brands. Can you update me on your journey?

What does he mean with dna repair, it sounds so weird, like we still cannot change dna in medical case
It fights the free radicals that causes DNA breakdown. When DNA is replicated over and over and over again, there is degredation in the skin cells. The same structure of skin cells we had in our 20's declines. His products are formulated to treat skin on a cellular level.

Judi Goldfarb Hi Judi! I’m not exactly sure which made my “medical grade.” Do you mean are they only available with a prescription? The Products that you can buy from Zoskinhealth.com, do not require a prescription. They are the best products on the market, in my opinion, without a prescription. They are sold online, and also in dermatology offices around the world.
There’s only two products that I know of that he has that are prescription only. For those, you would have to go to his office and have your skin was diagnosed. Those 2 products are the prescription strength Retin-A, and hydroquonine.
His online retinol products (“Wrinkle and Texture Repair”, and “Advanced Overnight Repair” are the strongest versions you can get without going into a dermatologist or doctors office. I would highly recommend them over anything you could possibly buy at Sephora.

ZO Skin-health is a medical grade skincare. You can only get the products in Drs Offices and his website. There are some products that are by prescription only.

I would talk to the doctor. It does cause a bit of irritation in the beginning. However, if you have rosacea, it could make it worse. Hope this helps.
I used the obagi Crx for 2 weeks ,but my skin got very day and full, a little bit red.Is it normal? Will it get rid ? How long the full skin will last? Shall I stop the products? Thanks!
If you are using one of his products that has retinal in it, then yes, that is normal. Start slow at first until your skin gets used to it. Try 1-2 times a week for the first month and gradually increase from there. Hope this helps.

DOB 04/10/1968 , but thanks for trying to say I look 10 years older than my actual age (sarcasm). There is nothing wrong with being 59 (even though I was 49 when this was filmed), but there is definitely something wrong with attempting to hurt someones feeling for the sake of doing it. I don't think you watched the whole video Gift. His whole anti-aging philosophy is to get your skin cells to produce their own moisture and create cell turn-over. If you slather your skin with oils and heavy moisturizer, your skin cells become lazy. I hope this helps. xo
