Dennis , not Brian. I love a lot of American classics, but whenever I see the Falfa '55 Chevy , I tend to think there's no more beautiful car.

6:14 gears is definitely a street racing gear. You might be able to start in 2nd gear and drive it like a three speed with a low hole 1st.. 😅.. that Camaro is bad azz!!

2 Lane is one of my favorite films, partly as a car guy and also just because if its world view...check out the Rob Zombie soundtrack to the 2 Lane video clip on YT. Everything I've read about the 2 Lane cars is that there were 3...2 454's and 1 L88. I think they used them all for American Graffiti...although the actual car upside down at the end of the movie was a 6 cyl hardtop (you can see the single exhaust), the few seconds before where its going off the road is the 3rd car that was wrecked as well...the stunt coordinator said that they had to force it to roll because it was so well built and stayed planted. explains why there are still 2 cars even tho one was rolled. Also, the 2 Lane movie is about Existentialism, so definitely was not 'about nothing'...2 hot rod nomads traveling and living in the moment and for experiences, with GTO living in a fantasy world for something that was never going to come, contrasting the 2 lives...very early 70's themes.

Marty here, I always heard the 3rd car was just for an unfilmed roll over scene in the film. That’s why in this walk around I only said there were 2. I very well could be incorrect in saying there are only 2 but I never considered the 3rd car an actual film used car.
And yes, you’re correct about the film as well. It’s my favorite movie. However for the general audience it can be hard to watch since it is a very empty movie as far as plot and other ideas go. I enjoy it because it is a snapshot into an America that doesn’t really exist anymore. Thank you for the comment. I enjoyed reading it.

Officer Falfa, Bob Falfa. That's F-a-l-f-a...bet he won't be goin' around huntin' for Canary Yellow Dueces sittin' on a set of chromed reverse steelies with the perfect Hot Rodders Rake anytime soon.

It would be so cool for you to visit the Dynacorn clasic bodies who are replicating body shells, a shop tour would be so cool and you talking over the quality of these Chevelle, Camaro, body shells

I'm not saying I'm high-maintenance, but I've definitely looked for my phone while talking on it😛

Thanks for the info guys, but I believe there was a third Richard Ruth 55 in San Fernando valley that was white. My older brother owned it for a while in Vanuys in the early or mid seventies. It had the same tilt front end and 454. We used to hang out behind the B of A in Vanuys looking for races on Saturday evenings. A guy with an early 340 Duster challenged us to race stating it was a street car? Liar! When he showed up with the car on a trailer, Howard Lytle who owned the race car Indian Summer saw this go down and realized the guy had tricked us offered to synch and adjust the carbs. At that point we were in a panic and said sure, please do. He fiddled with the carbs for about 10 minutes after which he told us, OK, you're ready. We took Mr. Dusters money home that night. 😉
I don't know if Mr. Lytle is still around to verify, but this is him.

Just to give her period correctness & be brought up to her cinematic picture perfect spec's, her rear slicks need to be larger just as they were when Sweet Baby James & Dennis Wilson went huntin' for action
