It is possible to have a mechanical issue but this model requires power/battery to fire and advance the shutter. If the battery is good and makes proper contact then it is probably one or two internal capacitors that went bad and need replacing.
Old camera old oil and grease. The camera might operate a few times then you're back to a stuck operation. If you persist in poking the mirror you'll do it once too often then either break the mirror or dislodge it from the pivot pins. Get it serviced by someone who knows what they are doing.
Don't do this. Also, don't work one handed on anything. It scares me to know that people are damaging their camera mirror assemblies because they are watching this video.

It gave you a sign that it's not working properly. If your car dies because the oil runs low you don't just restart it and keep going, I hope. CLA's are expensive, but replacing abused parts is more expensive. Cameras are more like watches than anything else. There are more parts than you can count and they are in delicate balance. Use it while it works. Don't be surprised if it stops working.

Didn't work. And watching you try to take the lens off with one hand for half the video was the most frustrating thing I've seen all day.
