it was a combination of johnny ace being a dick to cornette and lying to him, and them forcing the boogeyman character and it going so shit. Also Cornette has a problem with boundarys and usually crosses lines.

Props on Santino he did the right thing and didn’t loose his cool and u can tell Vince like him he love his comedy wrestlers or wrestlers that can make him laugh R Truth, Santino and Helms and Santino had a hell of a career in WWE won some titles had a amazing run with Beth that help Beth get some character and more personality aside from being a strong woman they made a cool combo and can’t forget Santino trying to break the Honky Tonky man record and other memorable stuff he’s a cool dude and help his daughter break into the business he’s a stand up guy
Worst type of comedy
It wasn't too soon after this that Santino and Cornette met at that convention center , I think Cornette got thrown out.
They both got kicked out.
Santino wanted to start a fight with Cornette and egged him on but Cornette said it was the wrong time and place as it was a fan convention. They both got told to leave
@@gregclark3268 aka Jim was a pussy
@@gregclark3268 Cornette was hysterical and scared, not reasonable and above it.
“ it was a job from my EMPLOYER”
Lmao nobody like Jim Cornette 😂😂😂
Jim Cornett has been wrong so many times about some of the greatest stars of the 2000s era there’s a reason Vince dropped his ass
Imagine had Jim Cornette actually trained Santino...
Cornette would have been in the right up until the slap. Even though Santino had no knowledge of how to act as a fan in that section men sometimes just learn by getting yelled at once in a while, most of us accept that.
I initially thought he was wrestling boogeyman and smiling at him inside the ring, but why would you slap an audience member?
Exactly, Cornette was completely out of line and deserved to be let go.
it was a combination of johnny ace being a dick to cornette and lying to him, and them forcing the boogeyman character and it going so shit. Also Cornette has a problem with boundarys and usually crosses lines.
Boogeyman tried to go through a door Santino was in front of, not scared and not moving, during a TV taping. What's hard to understand?
@@SP-rp4lk ok
Because he wasn't just an audience member he was in the OVW wrestling class there to watch the show and fill seats, the rest of the class sold the Boogyman but Santino was either too dumb, arrogant, or oblivious to realize the rest of the people around him were reacting but he didn't, even with Cornette yelling at him/them from commentary
I like Santino, but I'm not buying this story at all haha. He didn't think about being deported nor his couch. He was a newbie who was shocked since the boss was slapping him, understandably. Then he goes back to his seat and is like, "a situation happened, but nothing major". I'm not buying this story at all.
Edit: and making it a point to say he thanked Johnny Ace for being unbiased and Johnny at that moment realizing he's the Cornette guy is such BS haha. Again, I like Santino, but everyone knows he got that gig because of the slaps, not his talent
Santino's story makes sense, he was in a foreign country, new to a wrestling school with connections to the WWE, would you punch Cornette and ruin all that? I wouldn't.
About the idea that he got a contract over this incident, he wasn't signed to the WWE until 2 years after Cornette was fired.
Jim is very careful who he gets "tough" with. Basically anyone he has power over or that isn't there in person.
That couch must’ve been really comfortable
Why would you be worried about getting in trouble to that extreme if you were slapped first?.......
He should've done this interview with the accent.
Should have brought out the Cobra on Cornette
Cornette is lucky he didn't get his butt kicked. But Vince heard about this and pushed Santino hard.
that’s not true lmaoooo
His gimmicks were some of the worst for the reputation of Wrestling world wide . Cross dressing and making a fool out of the women’s division, making a mockery of Jake the snakes gimmick . He’s just not good and his gimmick is stereotypical especially since he’s French Canadian
I thought he was funny. Try not to overthink things.
feels uncomfortable without the accent
Santino got Cornette back a few years ago at that convention. Jim was screaming like a woman for security. So embarrassing.
Where can I get that story? I haven't heard that one yet 😲
@@zufalllx look for it on here.
Didn’t seem like he got him back, he tried to confront Corny I guess, but Jim stood his ground. Don’t see that as a win for Santino.
Cornette didn't scream for security. He got a few bystanders' attention, but he mostly just cussed Santino out. He stood his ground.
@@NukeCaulfield Santino challenged him to slap him again, but Cornette backed off and just screamed for security.
Cornette is passionate and it shows. Am I condoning the fact he slapped Santino? No, but tbh let's face it: only thing i remember Santino for is losing to Jimmy Kimmel's cousin.
Cornette smacked the accent out of his mouth.
Wipe your mouth when you finish
Had Jim Cornette been there longer Santino could have been a legitimate force on the card like they changed Batista, but oh well still worked out for him
Santino worked for WWE longer and made more money than Cornette. Santino won
@@SmithCommaBenjamin what's he doing now?
@@ICHIBAN-cz8ih Doesn't matter. He made more money in 1/10th the time. He won the game.

Cornette is way more relevant than he is, was, or ever will be.
If anybody is trying to cling to relevancy it’s you Santino! You’re remembered for being a comedy act while Corny had a hall of fame career in the business and currently has the top wrestling podcast by far
He tried to say JC is irrelevant 😂😂😂
CULTIST HERE:
Yeah Jim was having a rough go at it...... This was the totally "wrong place, at the wrong time, in the wrong event, in the wrong company," etc...
Cornette's passion is amazing, but you can tell it got him into trouble. He may have gotten off lightly, to be honest... He coulda faced charges, or gotten spanked lol. Look, It's kinda like "YES YOU ARE RIGHT, but at what cost?" Kinda like telling a young kid that Santa is fake before they're ready to hear it, you know? I'm not calling Santino a kid.... I'm just saying that sometimes being right ISN'T the right choice within context.
Anyone coulda called on Jim over this. This is just one of those things where it coulda been worse or better than it turned out.
But it is what it is, and its over. THE END?????
I have so much respect for him
People keep pointing out Santino has a martial arts background.
Cornette is a heel manager from the late 70. I PROMISE he's got a gun somewhere lol. He's threatened to shoot Brock Lesnar, threatened to beat Russo with a bat and tried to KILL Terry Landell by running him over Richie Aprile style lol
Sure, and if he tries to shoot someone he's getting it back sooner or later. What's your point?
@liquidsnake6879 what's YOUR point?
@@liquidsnake6879getting it back? Cops shoot people all the time and seem to be ok…
What Santino wasn’t really from Italy? NO!
Didn't earn his job. WWE gave him a job on the main roster so that he wouldn't sue. Jim Cornette is a clown but this guy didn't earn a spot, it was given to him.
Nah this sound like voiceover LMAOOOO
Aged like fine milk. Jim's more relevant than ever 😂
Yea with his podcast that gets like 20k views on average lmao
Definitely not relevant
@RANDYSAVAGE1412 he's got almost 400K subs and millions of views cumulatively on his videos. Are you ok?
Ehhhhh...... I dont know what to say. I feel bad for him too. Slapping someone's too much, cornette couldve just lectured him or called him an idiot. On the other hand, laughing at the boogeyman when theres 100s of people puttint the effort to make him sell as a serious character was a shit thing to do. Dude you had ONE job... ONE single simple job that night... DON'T laugh at the guy, look scared if anything but atleast dont laugh. Come on...
What we would give for a show with Santino
Jim Cornette ain’t shit 😂😂
“They never told me I was to do facials.”
“I thought they were taking me backstage cause they liked my facials.”
Nice contradiction right there.
No
I was wondering if anyone else would catch that.
He said that halfway through Cornette yelled at him to show some facials so he did after he was called out
He said in this interview that he just got into the intermediate class but said in an interview later that it was his first day. 😂
Kids know who he is. They wish they didn't because they wouldn't have to hear the truth about their shitty flippy flop ballet.
THIS was heavily edited on favor of cornette
He got the freebee
Everything that I have seen about this incident makes it clear to me that Santino was absolutely in the right here.
Cornette is an absolute nut, even if I like his podcast
The fact Cornette spent an hour trying to rationalize physically assaulting a subordinate is insane. Shows how mentally unstable Cornette truly is and it's terrifying.
