I was really heartwarmed by the expression ‘after baby you’re forever postpartum’, I’m expecting my second child 9 years after my first, and it’s so true that I feel my body was completely changed after my first birth, and it kinda warms my heart because my baby passed away at 4 years old, and she still feels close to me when I see my old stretch marks. It’s a beautiful gift from my daughter that I carry with me. Thank you for your beautiful, personal and informative videos!

I have a 3 week baby boy and sometimes when I breastfeed him he cries and moves around and cough and I thought something is wrong, seeing your baby doing the same thing reassured me that it's OK and that's how babies are. Thank you for being so real and showing the crying too

Thank you for talking about how depressed you felt during the first trimester of pregnancy! I am 10 weeks, and feeling pretty low! Between morning sickness, lockdown, and hormones, I have not been feeling like myself. I am SO excited to be pregnant but feel bad that I feel this way! And I feel like nobody talks about how hard the first trimester really is!

Thank You so much for this video. I’m 25 years old and my desire is to me a mom. I have dealt with mental illness ever sence I was 10years old. The fact that I see you calm and expressing your mental health after Sage, truly helps me. As everyone around me says that if I have bad days now how can I become a mom and take care of a baby. Those words hurt me to the core but seeing you is truly my inspiration! Thank You!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I just wanted to say, postpartum depression can come way later, a few months in, whereas babyblues is right away. I had both and they were very different. (for people reading this) The babyblues is teary and emotional- when I had PPD I did NOT cry. I did not feel anything, enjoy anything. Also, while babyblues passes, depression does not necessarily and may require medical attention. (!)

I remember before I had my kids, a friend told me after she had a baby it wasn’t that she didn’t lose the weight...she did and actually weighed less, but things shifted around, and I now know what she meant. And even after thousands and thousands of ab crunches, I don’t know how it’s possible to get rid of loose skin on my upper abdomen without surgery!

I love this video! You did a great job explaining what what happens to your body postpartum. I had three C-sections due to cephalopelvic disproportion. My body also did not make milk and I was unable to breastfeed. You look beautiful and very fit. Right before Sage choked while nursing, I kept hearing her gulping. Maybe you were so full that she was trying to keep up with the flow. You are so blessed to have that breastfeeding bond. Matt knows how to get a sibling for Sage. You have to be a fantastic postpartum dad in order to have a chance at being the father of two.

I also think it’s wonderful have a labor involving meds. I tried without until I began convulsing, throwing up, and just about passing out that the medical staff recommended I take medication given I was in forced labor for 2.5 days in total and towards the end my body was exhausted and my gut said to have a c section right away and it saved my baby’s life because the cord was around his neck and he had to be revived and was saved. God is good.

I pushed my baby out in less than 10 minutes! I had an epidural and super minimal tearing. I would agree a quick active labour probably makes the worst bits of recovery easier. I didn't do anything special to prepare, I think in my case it was genetic - my mom was the same way. Leading up to that was a different story, nearly needed an emergency csection. I love listening to your experience having Sage. We are done having kids and it takes me back. My youngest is 6 now and she came so quickly. I felt I recovered much quicker because the labor was so short and no medication or anything. I was so surprised. My experience was a lot like yours except my youngest didn't have a good latch and it was very tough breastfeeding for the first week but I refused to give up. You are doing a great job educating and letting other girls know what really happens after birth. I wish I would have had that. So great job! And lots of love to your beautiful little family❤️❤️❤️

I'm so happy you did this video. I don't have any kiddos (yet! But trying!!) but I always wonder like what happens AFTER the birth. Like the whole bleeding, discharges etc. Thank you for going into depth on you postpartum! Also, Mr. Matt IS. THE. BOMB DIGGITY! You're right! Most guys wouldn't go out and buy feminine products. Thank you guys for sharing this video! ❤

Omg new mommy to be in December and I glad you made this video. I didn’t know about the “discharge” and smell. I appreciate you saying that because no one talks about stuff like that so openly.

I loved this video and I’m so lucky I have a caring husband, who is always by my side and help me in everything. My baby is not born yet but I know I can always count on him 🥺🥰 my mother was not lucky. She dealed with everything all alone, my father was home and the only thing he did to help her was cuddling the babies (she had 4)… I love my mommy💜

Thank you so much for sharing everything! This is so helpful for someone (me) in their third trimester and have friends who will not discuss any of this. Your openness is refreshing and gives me piece of mind for what is to come.

I was like you in the fact that I didn't tear on my perineum. I did tear on the side close by my urethra. I probably would not have torn but I had an old injury when I was little that didn't quite heal correctly so when I gave birth that old injury tore and they stitched me up which actually helped it to heal the way it should have been. This was with my first then I had 4 more babies and didn't tear again.

That Frida mom peri bottle was LIFE CHANGING for me. So so good but I tore differently than you. My wonderful nurse in the hospital gave me a stack of washcloths to use instead of toilet paper in the hospital too and that was awesome.
