I know they may sound messed up, but I kinda like the first one. It shows what conflicts you have with yourself when you make these difficult decisions, but I just don't think this game is THAT type of game.... You know? When you have dreams and think your going crazy because of ONE messed up decision you had to make. Because that would conflict with the fact that you have to make messed up decisions throughout this game on the regular.

What on earth are you talking about? This doesn't make Lilly look any different than she does in the actual game. They didn't alter up her personality at all during development, either. The fact that you believe otherwise means you probably weren't very nice to her throughout your playthrough of the game, because Lilly is one of the most believably human characters in this entire series. She also has moments in the game where she is extremely friendly as well. I don't know which game you two were playing, but it was obviously quite different from any version I've seen, as Lilly is clearly portrayed as one of the most tragic characters in the story. These cut scenes do nothing to alter that fact (for better or worse).

The bear trap one makes so much more sense, I wish they kept it instead of having the guy from the woods be a minor plot point to have us meet ben. In fact, I would have liked most of these to be in the game.
I kinda knew this one after replaying episode 2 and saw the bear trap in the barn I was like this is a dairy ....theres no bears or any big animal that Lee's group would've seen ...so seeing a bear trap from them I kinda figured it would be from them ...
We got the definitive edition but we need either remakes or remasters with some cut content that adds to the story or changes pieces of canon for the better

I think the scene with Lee not taking the deal to stay at the farm should have happened tbh and I think it would have been cool to see ben’s teacher as an alternate option and maybe Mark could stay alive more
Maybe writers thought it would be a bigger impact on the player if it was somebody from the group and not some random dude. Which worked for me if that is the case.
Sorry for the real late reply but I just want to clarify what happened. Travis (the other guy that was with Ben and the teacher in the game) was not in the original script for episode 2. I believe you could either cut off the teacher's leg, get Kenny to cut off the teacher's leg, or leave him in the woods, leading you to believe he was killed by walkers off-screen, only to return later with his legs cut off by the St. John's. Also Mark was killed instantly by the bandits in the original as you can say in this video when he was shot in the eye.
@@wulfteait depends on if you interpret this scene as him actually being visited by their spirit or if you interpret it as just being a dream caused by guilt. If he’s really being visited by the dead then the real Doug shouldn’t know that, or maybe being dead means he’s omniscient. If it’s just a dream then it doesn’t matter if the real Doug knew, Lee knows what he said at the trial and it’s his dream.
I really like how they had the teacher in the house instead of Mark and also linked the bear traps from the barn to the farm. When I first played I knew right away those bear traps belonged to them after the barn was revealed, but it sucks cause no one brought it up or anything. Cool to see it was a concept tho.
0:47 yeah.... that kinda expands a little bit more on the 'CarLee' romance that started happening in the next episode instead of it being thrown out there. Carley reminds Lee of his Ex-wife, if that's true then it does make more sense that he'd catch feelings for her.

@@munchen245 i played this game long ago, but I remember they met the St Johns accidentally and were invited to come to the farm by them. If the St Johns had killed one of their friends, they would've turned down the invitation and had no reason to go the farm...starving or not.
They left David (The teacher) in the trap. They didn't know what had really happened, so it would've made sense. However if you choose to chop his leg off what would happen then? It couldn't be the other kid. He dies and is rendered "unedible". Maybe Mark gets to be eaten then? Makes me wonder why they cut it out.

This game felt really realistic to me i could place myself in the story so much, this game has a good story, sadness, gore, hard choices, some jumpscares, love, loyalty choices, innocent cuteness, panics, action, frustration and the view little funny jokes in the game are so special because it’s like the only little thing to put a smile on your face while living in such a depressed game world for an example the bug on the pillow. After finishing the game in a day i felt grateful that i didn’t live in a walking dead world Season 1 was 10/10 for me
It would’ve been weird and illogical if Mark was killed when the bandits attacked him and Lee. Why would the group stay and eat dinner where their friend literally died?
Brendan Greene That's still fucked up though. The group meets a guy in the woods, a teacher. They tried to save him, failed, them later, they are fed human flesh from the same guy they left in the woods. I don't think it was about how impactful it would be. I think it was because why would they leave him when he ends up being alive anyway? Walkers are about to reach him, you could be forced to leave him but he just ends up being alive?
Well i can kinda understand, because if you remember the scenes from actual game, the family convinces them to they have no relations with them except trying to keep them away by giving them food and the bandits never managed to attack inside the fence even before the deal. The bandits also saying something like "go away and hide, we're going nowhere" when lee managed to get inside.. And they're about to starve to death anyway.. So inside the house is the safest place they could've been at the moment and as a plus they can get food. It's a win-win for the day. If only we can look the actual game dialogues and deleted scenes as a whole though..
WOW! Not going to the farm regardless of the vote would put a really interesting spin on the story. So would mark getting shot in the head in the farm instead of in the shoulder. NICE VIDEO!
And now I found out that kenny also has a scrapped scene in season 3. He was supposed to kill himself by singing a song that he made up and by drowning himself slowly.

It would've been even more interesting for them to keep Mark the victim, then allude to the matching bear traps AND white arrows laying around the barn, since Mark was hit with a white arrow rather than one of the red arrows that the bandits were shooting. Not enough people notice that.
It's not in this video, but from what I remember it involved bandits killing everyone at his school, something like that. Also involved some girl killing herself under the pressure, but unlike the original game it had some other stuff thrown in to make Ben even more understandable. You have to dig to find it. It definitely explains why he gave all the supplies to the bandits. (Really, anyone saying Ben was to blame for duck's death is fucking stupid, if anything he prolonged his death.)

While Lily is looking really scared. And I wish they kept the part where Lily talks to Lee about his past because she never told Lee that she knew he was a convicted killer until she killed Carly/Lee.

The bear trap one makes so much more sense, I wish they kept it instead of having the guy from the woods be a minor plot point to have us meet ben. In fact, I would have liked most of these to be in the game.
I kinda knew this one after replaying episode 2 and saw the bear trap in the barn I was like this is a dairy ....theres no bears or any big animal that Lee's group would've seen ...so seeing a bear trap from them I kinda figured it would be from them ...
We got the definitive edition but we need either remakes or remasters with some cut content that adds to the story or changes pieces of canon for the better

Maybe writers thought it would be a bigger impact on the player if it was somebody from the group and not some random dude. Which worked for me if that is the case.

Sorry for the real late reply but I just want to clarify what happened. Travis (the other guy that was with Ben and the teacher in the game) was not in the original script for episode 2. I believe you could either cut off the teacher's leg, get Kenny to cut off the teacher's leg, or leave him in the woods, leading you to believe he was killed by walkers off-screen, only to return later with his legs cut off by the St. John's. Also Mark was killed instantly by the bandits in the original as you can say in this video when he was shot in the eye.

If he’s really being visited by the dead then the real Doug shouldn’t know that, or maybe being dead means he’s omniscient.
If it’s just a dream then it doesn’t matter if the real Doug knew, Lee knows what he said at the trial and it’s his dream.
I really like how they had the teacher in the house instead of Mark and also linked the bear traps from the barn to the farm. When I first played I knew right away those bear traps belonged to them after the barn was revealed, but it sucks cause no one brought it up or anything. Cool to see it was a concept tho.

@@munchen245 i played this game long ago, but I remember they met the St Johns accidentally and were invited to come to the farm by them. If the St Johns had killed one of their friends, they would've turned down the invitation and had no reason to go the farm...starving or not.
They left David (The teacher) in the trap. They didn't know what had really happened, so it would've made sense.
However if you choose to chop his leg off what would happen then? It couldn't be the other kid. He dies and is rendered "unedible". Maybe Mark gets to be eaten then? Makes me wonder why they cut it out.

This game felt really realistic to me i could place myself in the story so much, this game has a good story, sadness, gore, hard choices, some jumpscares, love, loyalty choices, innocent cuteness, panics, action, frustration
and the view little funny jokes in the game are so special because it’s like the only little thing to put a smile on your face while living in such a depressed game world for an example the bug on the pillow.
After finishing the game in a day i felt grateful that i didn’t live in a walking dead world

Brendan Greene That's still fucked up though. The group meets a guy in the woods, a teacher. They tried to save him, failed, them later, they are fed human flesh from the same guy they left in the woods. I don't think it was about how impactful it would be. I think it was because why would they leave him when he ends up being alive anyway? Walkers are about to reach him, you could be forced to leave him but he just ends up being alive?
Well i can kinda understand, because if you remember the scenes from actual game, the family convinces them to they have no relations with them except trying to keep them away by giving them food and the bandits never managed to attack inside the fence even before the deal. The bandits also saying something like "go away and hide, we're going nowhere" when lee managed to get inside.. And they're about to starve to death anyway..
So inside the house is the safest place they could've been at the moment and as a plus they can get food. It's a win-win for the day. If only we can look the actual game dialogues and deleted scenes as a whole though..

Also involved some girl killing herself under the pressure, but unlike the original game it had some other stuff thrown in to make Ben even more understandable. You have to dig to find it. It definitely explains why he gave all the supplies to the bandits. (Really, anyone saying Ben was to blame for duck's death is fucking stupid, if anything he prolonged his death.)
