Dr Levine really needs more platforms and more people to hear from his decades of experience. No frills, straight truth and a light touch on the family and the children. This was an excellent talk, at another ground breaking conference.

I was ignorant of this subject until Rowling requested not to be identified as person who menstruates, since then 1 shock is that more medical professionals do not speak up about the fallacies of conversion therapies, detransitioners & comedy writers are having to do it. Feminist lives threatened online daily when they speak up for themselves, rather than 🌈, it's back to 🍏🐍🔥🧙‍♀️.

Excellent presentation. I think he misunderstood the last question. Both my daughters thought they were trans. My older daughter told me how people were pushing it on her. I was being lied to by the school, multiple therapists, doctors, youth group leader while they were secretly trying to harm my younger child behind my back. I think the mother had an unethical experience like that.

I believe you are correct. This is criminal activity and these people need to be held accountable for their actions. It is brainwashing and child abuse.

Yes, I concur Dr. Levine let the therapy profession off the hook too easily in responding to the last question. I'm in the field myself. Suddenly, overnight, therapists popped up everywhere professing to be experts, authoritatively affirming the distressed adolescent's newfound transgender identity. It's never happened like that before in the psychological sciences.

It says it all in a nutshell. DO WANT A LIVE DAUGHTER, OR A DEAD SON?. It's a big business scaring parents into agreeing to do called gender affirming care.! It's time to stop, think and wait until these children become adults and legally responsible for their own choices!

As a professor in the UK, I say that Dr. Stephen B. Levine has a rare ability to translate the chaos of human experience into such profound clarity much like Sigmund Freud did. He’s masterful at breaking down the societal modern identity crises in ways that will help generations of families. His observations on the experience of betrayal and love, paired with his philosophical insights, elevate him beyond a clinical expert to a true thinker of our time, especially with his quote on how trans identity is a creative unconscious solution. Dr. Levine truly maps the human condition in a way that is so deeply personal and significant. I have no doubt that future textbooks will place his name alongside Freud’s. So far, Dr. Levine and Dr. Joseph Burgo had some the best speeches I’ve ever heard at Genspect.

Since Freud was a fraud. I'll skip his long winded rationalizations for irrational beliefs. I take it he's all for transing the gay away. In support of the parents. Because parents are the ones who pay him.

At this point I'm pretty sure you've got a room that is lit only by red candles and the walls are covered with pictures of this man and if he weren't bald I'd be almost certain you would have hair samples on it too.

Betrayal is exactly what I felt and occasionally feel. We have greatly cared for our children, chosen their name with care, and given everything to our children.
Now I see that my child’s mind has been trauma bonded to comrades who have taken the place of family. Knowing this helps me feel compassion for his choice. He has been systematically brainwashed. I also know that it is an agenda pushed onto them on purpose from Marxists who want to dismantle the traditional family to topple Capitalism. Then Socialists infiltrate systems with the goal in mind to dismantle Capitalism. Young people within the school system and the college settings are the victims of this agenda. According to Trans Marxism, the act of transitioning is an act of war. The trans folk are the martyrs of the movement, protected by laws taken over and created by the socialist agenda in order to continue the dismantling of the capitalist society.
My brilliant, attached, highly functional son self-identified as autistic once he transitioned. Then he left his family and trauma bonded to other young people tied to the Marist ideology. Being a teacher and counselor for more than 30 years, I have observed many autistic folk of many levels on the spectrum. He never had any signs of autism. Once he went to college, he was surrounded by others questioning everything. It is definitely a social construct, similar to other social construct disasters from the past.

@ check out PITT(parents of inconvenient truths about trans) through a Substack set up by GENSPECT. There are tons of us experiencing this phenomenom. It is helpful to hear their stories. Not all of them see the Socialism piece. I have just done a lot of deep digging and reflecting to see how this happened to him. All of our kids were smart, som quirky, some just naive. All started with strong family bonds that were suddenly severed and left us all in shock.

Let's not forget that a Yale Psychologist has gone in TV recently litterally saying "it's OK for you to completely CUT OFF contacts with your family if they dont agree with you, politically and about your lifestyle"...
    Let that sink in...

Speaking from experience, that can be healthier than maintaining sick relationships, I inherited a full-time live-in caregiver situation over a decade ago & realize now I have been enabling my abusers my entire lifetime. I have wonderful healthy relationships as well, but they are ALL outside my family since Mom died 20 years ago. We must be careful who we choose to grow old with, particularly if we aspire to healthy independence.

@@unowen-nh9ov "that can be healthier than maintaining sick relationships"
This was clearly NOT the context in which that statement was made by that psychologist.
She was not advocating to avoid "toxic" relationships (which in general can be agreed)...she was counseling ppl that were not voting for a political party to avoid family menbers that, despite being absolutely normal and even caring, were just voting for the opposite party they were cheering for...a COMPLETELY different thing (and simply a STUPID thing to say in any circumstance).

A sense of being robbed, been robbed of the future for my daughter that was the underlying emotion, and more than just emotion, a whole ordeal experience. It's still stands as a glass door waiting to be crushed by the reality of life when a 23-year-old will catch up with maturation. I am so sorry for her. Woe me.

    • @theresearcher253

I deeply sympathise. Our daughter developed anorexia. We nearly lost her in 2020 when she was 45k and suicidal, but is now 22 and (we hope) through the worst. Her maturity over the last six months has been exponential. Emotionally, she's gone from about a 14 year old to an 18-20 year old. I wish you and your daughter well as she 'awakens'.

  • @Joy2Life333

My dark reality is the ptsd that I have from my daughter’s 5 suicide attempts, the inability to find a therapist for myself who will support me in not affirming my daughter, and being told by those who are affirming that I am a horrible mother. Then there are those people who are not affirming, but have no experience with a trans child of their own, that dare to tell me “all you need to do is xzy” and the problem will magically disappear. Those people make me madder than all the others.

I am in my 7th decade & have reduced it to experience>ego, the former are non-judgemental & accepting while the latter controlling & need to make it all about them, empathy>narcissism. This doesn't help, but sometimes, as with grief, the best we can hope for is to survive & that time does heal all wounds. Sometimes it can't, instead survival makes us who we are, sorry to be trite & trivialize your profound life challenges (as nurse friend called them long ago).

@@unowen-nh9ov And you want to apply this "do nothing/live in your own skin/full Biblical consequence of action" concept to adult gender medicine, birth control, vaccines, SSRI's, gastric bypass, tubal ligation, vasectomies, IVF, and gay marriage. Your conservative concept is if we didn't have it in 1850 and you can't find it in Biblical theology, the rest of society does not need it regardless of if they are currently benefitting from treatment. We'll see how far you get but my prediction is that the economy will tank and a lot of blood will be shed over these issues. We see how markets are reacting to tariffs by nations put on nations who never had them before. If you want a perpetual state of warfare, you'll get chaos like you have in the Middle East. Maybe you want NYC to look like Gaza as one side now has that power. Others however will likely be killed and get terrorized during the process. What happened to "good people" on both sides? That was "wheel grease" and an ice breaker to endorse conservative terrorism that led to J-6 where police officers died which could carry the death penalty but has now been swept under the rug. People will live and die with these decisions.

As a parent of a autistic female who claims to have had ROGD from the age of 15 ....and now nearly 20 ...my experiences with mental health professionals has not been explorative for my daughter it has just been to listen ...more research coming from parents needs to take place to provide a lens into the other side of the coin ...as the child's version is distaughted by the brain washing/ conditioning that takes place during absorption into time spent on social media.A worldwide study would reveal alarming results....this could take place in our schools?

    • @JudyGoodwin-l9b

@JudyGoodwin-l9b hi Judy I meant an audit for parents via schools ..or some other method so parents voices are voiced. To ensure the journey of the child is accurate and not just repeated ideological transcripts kids read online that they then declare as to being transgender ..

How can I find a neutral therapist for my daughter and my family to handle their desire to transition. I have been struggling and seeking help on my own. But the automatic mental health response and school response has been to accept the transition and to have no questions of our child.

Another speaker, Andrew Gold, interviews several detransitioners on his Heretics channel. The more you know about this subject the more terrifying it becomes, @ risk youth are mutilated, sterilized, left without physical feelings. Exulansic & Graham Linehan also inventory damage done, former keeps a Death List of victims of "gender affirmation". Trans part of human nature, biology & history, it's only since it's been commodotized into growth industry that it's become costly & life-threatening. Also frequently conversion therapy without being labeled so.
