I thought of this song today, because I remember it being "my song" in 2007 when I left my husband after 7 years of a toxic marriage, with my 2 year old daughter and 6 month old son. I was so broken. And this song broke down my walls so that I could cry it out, which helped me to be able to pray. I'm sorry to say, but it's been so long since then that I couldn't remember who sang it! So I googled some lyrics and then watched the first recording on TH-cam. Then another and another...For the past hour+ I have sat in my floor listening to this song over and over, bawling my eyes out, shocked at the depth of pain I feel after 12 years. But it hit on so many other things, other relationships, before and since that marriage and divorce. Until I saw the live recording from 2006. You were young. But I think this song was actually YOUR heart, right? Your experience? Suddenly my heart broke for you. And next I found this recent recording, and after watching it and wondering why you seem just as hurt as all those years ago.. I read in the comments that you had to file for divorce.
