This ko version is quite rare and obviously not as expensive as the original but it still a valuable collectable. Im so pleased i bought him years ago before his price ballooned
3:11 fun fact, the g1 soundblaster toy had a bigger chest than the g1 soundwave. So soundblaster could fit more cassettes in his chest. So it’s technically accurate.
I believe the animation model for Soundblaster in the Headmasters cartoon had an extended chest. It was seen at the beginning of episode 4 of the series which is on youtube. The scene was when they were constructing Soundblaster, his schematics showed the extended chest.
Recently scored one of these for about half the price of the official one. As much as I would like to get the new Robot Paradise one, I just can't justify paying the price for it. Sure it looks nicer but I've become content with getting figures that get the job done without breaking the bank. If I can get the nicer ones for a good price, that's when I upgrade.

My official Hasbro Asia Masterpiece Soundwave has the same problem ejecting cassettes. It just isn't a well implemented feature. The main problem is that the cassette compartment is too tight to the ideal shape of the cassettes which is hard to get because of the way the cassettes transform. Also, the little lip on the inside of the cassette door seems to block cassettes from ejecting more than it helps.
Jon The Year of the Goat Soundwave has this problem as well. I've heard that even KFC's Transistor & Doubledeck have this problem.
And Hasbro's & Takara's designers didn't learn; the Fall of Cybertron Voyager Soundwave, Soundblaster, & Blaster all have that problem with their data disks.

I actually like the chest coming out a bit with the purple section. Reminds me of the toy.
Oddly enough I didn't know there was an actual Soundblaster. I thought this was a Soundwave black variant or something when I pre-ordered to go with my black Quakeblast and Nemesis Prime. Accidentally started a evil twin shelf I guess :)

Let's face it: the tape ejection gimmick for the MP Soundwave mold sucks serious whale balls. And I've heard that the KFC Blaster/Twincast mold (Transistor & Doubledeck) has that problem as well. Probably best to just have only one tape in him.
The raised chest is pretty evocative of the way the G1 toy had the retooled door to hold two tapes at once. Though I found it odd that even with the Takara, the only way to get a Decepticon symbol is the purple door piece.
I've heard that the head on this is the Year of the Goat Soundwave remold. Makes me wonder if the figure is actually based on that piece of junk.
if the red chest bugs you you could put a blank white piece of paper between the red and the purple to give it that bright purple chest. you could also add some extra detail that you want like the cartoony gloss like the cartoon.

exact same thing just happened to me. #rd try i reloaded the page and it worked.
I was given the option to switch back. Had to fill in a questionnaire why. But at least it's back to normal, and now Magic Actions for YT works again :)

The extra back piece added to improve the altmode(that doesn't even tab in properly) making it impossible to peg his weapon into his back like you're supposed to is a wonderful example of Chinese engineering and shows why they're better off just ripping things off/copying things instead of creating.

Soundwave was resurrected as the black "SoundBlaster" in the 1987 Japanese series "Transformers: The Headmasters," which continued the Transformers cartoon franchise after the U.S. ended it. Blaster was resurrected as the blue "Twincast."
