  • Public Administration as a Pre-Med? Is that even possible? This is one of the most uncommon tracks that people take before Medicine. Join me as we ask questions from a graduate of BA Public Administration who is now a medical student!
    The "What's Your Pre-Med" series aims to help those who are still in high school to decide which pre-med is best for them. And for those who are currently in college/university, this could help them maximize the potential of their pre-med courses.
    Enjoy!
    If you have suggestions on what pre-med we should feature next, comment them down below!
    DISCLAIMER: I personally don't believe that there is such thing as a "best pre-med" because nowadays anything can be a pre-med. The term "pre-med" used in the series is defined as the course someone took before entering medical school. If at some point the interviewer or the interviewee mentions "best pre-med" then it is his/her personal opinion and should not be taken as a fact.

      If given the opportunity of choosing a different course, what course would you pick? This is based sa fact na medical students have classmates from different courses and maybe some students have this lowkey wish na "sana pala nag-______ ako"

      Ano po yung ginawa ng mga non pre med na courses if di umabot yung units nila sa required ng med school?

    I think I’ve watched a lot of your pre-med course series and Ive realized that what Ph medical profession need is undergrad courses that deals with our country’s socio-economic situation like public health, public adm, pol sci, econ, etc. Kasi sila un may enough ideas and public knowledge ng problema ng bansa. Alam mong bago sila naging doctor, they were trained to be in the public service. Imagine the current situation ng medical system sa ating bansa. Hindi ka nga namatay sa sakit, mamatay ka nman sa bills. Hehe. And I think that’s your advantage among all other pre med course. Suffice to say na iba tlga yun character development nu. Cguro in terms of acads, mahirap lang tlga at the start because of unfamiliarity with the med science but Sabi nga ni Dok Aura (another youtubers I follow) eh as you progress sa med school, pantay pantay na lahat. Kaya kudos sa mga future doctors coming from these undergrads.

    I find this vlog so helpful for me for I’m an incoming Bachelor of Government Management/Public Administration student at Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila and this program wasn’t my first choice. I chose BS Nursing then BS Bio, BGM was my least choice so when I was accepted to this dept, i was so discouraged since this isn’t my pace. I tried applying at UP Manila for BS Public Health but unfortunately, i didn’t get to enroll since BSPH is a quota course. Upon watching this, I felt relieved and wanna strive more especially when i read someone’s comment about hcp with an experience when it comes to socio-economic situations here in our country. Thank you so much, future doc! Padayon!

    • @JVTomas
      @JVTomas  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello! Any 4 year course can be your pre-med. :) Labanan nalang sa grades, NMAT, and interview sa mga big med schools. Tho you have to take note na some school require subjects to be taken sa college. Thanks for watching.

      Hello! I am also a Public Administration student at NCPAG as well and I am thinking whether to take law or med in the future. I'm just wondering since majority ng mga med schools na nakita ko are requiring certain no. of units in bio, chem, and physics, and unfortunately my curriculum doesn't have enough units to satisfy the required units for med school. Is it possible to enter a med school without satisfying the required units in natural sciences? Thanks!
