One thing to remember is that Christ built the Church that is found in Scripture. "Christ, not Church" is not a Biblical idea, even though it is popular. The Bible emphasizes the importance of the Church, which is Christ's Body (1 Corinthians, Ephesians). Christ is Lord of the Church, and the Church is good. All those who are in Christ are in His Church. What is wrong is "Church," ritual, and hypocrisy. That and false doctrine are bad. But that does not make the Church itself bad. We must not call what Christ created evil. ❤

Brother or sister, remember that what God commands he will enable us to do. It's for this very purpose that he sent his own Holy Spirit. Through his power we castoff the old works of darkness and clothe ourselves with Christ. “I try harder to defeat sin.” Some sins are harder to defeat than others. Trust that God will deliver you from sin and put your faith in that holy God to deliver you from them. It’s hard to say and hard to do as I convict myself writing this but truly is the only way to get out of sin.
My favorite story of Jesus is when he walks into the temple and turns the place over. Then he calls them out,"Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness." The scriptures reveal to me that I am a sinner and in my flesh dwells no good thing. Christ alone is the standard whereby all people will be judged. I need a Substitute, Surety, Redeemer and a righteousness that I cannot produce. I rest alone in the finished work of the Redeemer for sinners, my only hope.

I am Spanish with a Catholic cultural background. I have this very vivid memory of my grandma one night, praying in bed before sleeping, and I asked her about what she was doing. She told me, well in her 80s: ''I am talking to Jesus and Mother Mary, I don't need a church or a priest that in truth is as evil as he can be, to tell me how to talk to God or what to do with my life. They're all evil.'' What she said to me has stuck with me all my life. And it surprises me to have found a man on the internet, many years after, from the other side of the planet, who is basically saying the same thing as her. This can only show how many people, no matter the background, country or religion, have reached the same conclusion, and the same truth. We make the very easy a very complicated thing, when deep inside the Truth is very easy and it's just simply there, in us.

Many people go to church and then walk out and do horrible things. Myself included. I went back to the church four years ago, but I am very aware this time that sitting in church is nothing if I can't be a better person when I walk out those doors into the world. I use church to recharge my heart and soul so that I hopefully will continue to improve the way I live, and though that, my relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. My ongoing prayer is that he help me to be less like me and more like Him. Thank you for the lesson. God Bless.
Truth. God isn’t impressed on how good a man is. The real way to impress God is by how dedicated you are to serve him and live for others. The passage in Isaiah is about how wicked the Jews were and would offer empty sacrifice in the temple. Meaning they turned it into a ritual doing it because their parents did it/ were told they had to offer sacrifices. John MacArthur once stated it is a hard thing to be raised in the church because most of the things you do are because people make you do them not because you as an individual do them out of Love and honesty for the Lord.
What stood out to me when you read Romans 1:29-32 was the “without understanding” part. We are admonished in Proverbs 4 to “get understanding” and not to be “as the horse or mule which have no understanding.” (Psalm 34:9). It takes humility to honestly seek to understand.

May we fall down on our face and ask Jesus to forgive our sins. When he then gives us directions for our lives may we obey him in everything he asks us to do. The cross is a symbol of death. We must carry our cross and die to our sins. Everything God ask us to do is for our good. Sometimes it is very difficult to trust him. But we must trust him. He knows the plan that he has for our future.

It was a tough, tough day today. It's the 6th year anniversary of my Dad's passing. I miss him dearly every day. It sure has Not been easy. I know he wants me to be happy again. 😢❤
Not all who say Lord Lord will enter the kingdom. God looks on the "heart", the heart being the essence of who we really are. When our hearts truly change, our lives will change. We will love God and we will love our neighbor. We will learn to be kind and thankful. We will learn to find happiness as a result. You're right, it isn't in our church attendance or how we dress or how much we give in the offering plate. Those things might be affected by the condition of our heart, but they are not the important things. It's how we love and treat others. Some people are hard to love, but when we look closely, they are in all likelihood the ones who need it most. Most of all we can begin by simply being kind to each other. Give people a smile. That's easy and we need that more than ever these days.
Excellent teaching, he who has ears let him hear the Truth! I heard a sermon this morning on The power of the Blood. The Blood of Jesus Christ will never lose its power! That’s the most profound statement I’ve heard in a long time. One drop of Blood from Christ is more powerful than all of the blood from animal sacrifices before Jesus came and died.

I’ve just fallen from the peace I once had. I believe but I’m also broken. I sure hope to get back to loving God like I used to.

I just felt like I wanted to quickly respond to what you wrote. God has rescued me, over the past several years, and over the last year especially, from rebellion and hypocrisy. I also made a mess of things. And that's putting it lightly. But I want to tell you that God loves us so unfathomable much and his grace and mercy are unlimited towards us as we humble ourselves and cry out for his help and presence in our lives again. I am seeing God work in my heart and in my life all the time now, and though my circumstances aren't perfect, I'm truly blessed and content now, and I know that God is my provider and my provision. I am still a serious work in process, but I know that God isn't finished with me, and he isn't finished with you!! So take the fact that you can hear his voice again and consider that your greatest treasure. He went silent for me for years because of my rebellion. I didn't know if I would hear from him again. But he showed up, faithful as he is, and in his humility also humbled me. So keep humbling yourself, and if you can't see the way to do that, just ask him to humble you. And keep leaning in to that voice! Keep knocking on the door of Heaven and keep seeking him! Keep that renewed relationship with him as your greatest reward and keep trusting and seeking him to be the fire that ignites your heart for him. And remember it's he that works in us both to will and to do according to his good pleasure. We have the resurrection power of God through His own Holy Spirit living in us! And that's the resurrection of our spiritual lives as well as the circumstances that we've messed up. I can say from personal experience that while God may not "fix" our situations in the way that we want or think they ought to be, when we trust him enough to surrender to him, he will never let us down, he will work our circumstances to our good, and he knows best how to bring new life out of destruction and how to turn our ashes into beauty. Thank you for the talk about God not being impressed. We all need to hear a hard message at times to shock us out of our complacency. I am trying to work out my salvation with fear and trembling to focus more on God's Holiness to be more reverential, for God will not be mocked. You are right. If our lifestyle does not correspond to the faith we confess on a Sunday in Church, then we are all in serious trouble. Jesus saved his harshest words for the religious hypocrites. I feel like a sociopath. I feel i have blasphemed the spirit. I dont know if im depressed or if its some kimd of emotional disorder but i just dont love people or God. Sometimes our hearts harden by our own actions, and going to Christ is us knowing we'll have to respond on what we've done (not in penitence, but in repentance) and also, compromise to not doing it again. You can start by going to a church where people care, I went to one. I knew Jesus Christ of Nazareth was my savior, but I felt as if I couldn't take him in my heart. I even felt afraid, and then realized I was afraid of opening my emotions, so they helped me in church and got me there where I could accept Christ again. And also as other people mentioned, as long as you keep trying and having god in your mind you'll get there, keep praying and we'll also ask for you 🙏🏼

All those who are in Christ are in His Church. What is wrong is "Church," ritual, and hypocrisy. That and false doctrine are bad. But that does not make the Church itself bad. “I try harder to defeat sin.” Some sins are harder to defeat than others. Trust that God will deliver you from sin and put your faith in that holy God to deliver you from them. It’s hard to say and hard to do as I convict myself writing this but truly is the only way to get out of sin.
My favorite story of Jesus is when he walks into the temple and turns the place over. Then he calls them out,"Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness."

I am Spanish with a Catholic cultural background. I have this very vivid memory of my grandma one night, praying in bed before sleeping, and I asked her about what she was doing. She told me, well in her 80s: ''I am talking to Jesus and Mother Mary, I don't need a church or a priest that in truth is as evil as he can be, to tell me how to talk to God or what to do with my life. They're all evil.'' What she said to me has stuck with me all my life. And it surprises me to have found a man on the internet, many years after, from the other side of the planet, who is basically saying the same thing as her. This can only show how many people, no matter the background, country or religion, have reached the same conclusion, and the same truth. We make the very easy a very complicated thing, when deep inside the Truth is very easy and it's just simply there, in us.

I went back to the church four years ago, but I am very aware this time that sitting in church is nothing if I can't be a better person when I walk out those doors into the world. I use church to recharge my heart and soul so that I hopefully will continue to improve the way I live, and though that, my relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The passage in Isaiah is about how wicked the Jews were and would offer empty sacrifice in the temple. Meaning they turned it into a ritual doing it because their parents did it/ were told they had to offer sacrifices. John MacArthur once stated it is a hard thing to be raised in the church because most of the things you do are because people make you do them not because you as an individual do them out of Love and honesty for the Lord.

Not all who say Lord Lord will enter the kingdom. God looks on the "heart", the heart being the essence of who we really are. When our hearts truly change, our lives will change. We will love God and we will love our neighbor. We will learn to be kind and thankful. We will learn to find happiness as a result. You're right, it isn't in our church attendance or how we dress or how much we give in the offering plate. Those things might be affected by the condition of our heart, but they are not the important things. It's how we love and treat others. Some people are hard to love, but when we look closely, they are in all likelihood the ones who need it most. Most of all we can begin by simply being kind to each other. Give people a smile. That's easy and we need that more than ever these days.

I have become distant to the Lord through hypocrisy and rebellious and foolish ways and I have a huge mess to clean up in my life. Only God knows if this can still be fixed.
But all that matters now is that I could finally repent again thanks to your messages on this channel.
I just felt like I wanted to quickly respond to what you wrote. God has rescued me, over the past several years, and over the last year especially, from rebellion and hypocrisy. I also made a mess of things. And that's putting it lightly. But I want to tell you that God loves us so unfathomable much and his grace and mercy are unlimited towards us as we humble ourselves and cry out for his help and presence in our lives again. I am seeing God work in my heart and in my life all the time now, and though my circumstances aren't perfect, I'm truly blessed and content now, and I know that God is my provider and my provision. I am still a serious work in process, but I know that God isn't finished with me, and he isn't finished with you!! So take the fact that you can hear his voice again and consider that your greatest treasure. He went silent for me for years because of my rebellion. I didn't know if I would hear from him again. But he showed up, faithful as he is, and in his humility also humbled me. So keep humbling yourself, and if you can't see the way to do that, just ask him to humble you. And keep leaning in to that voice! Keep knocking on the door of Heaven and keep seeking him! Keep that renewed relationship with him as your greatest reward and keep trusting and seeking him to be the fire that ignites your heart for him. And remember it's he that works in us both to will and to do according to his good pleasure. We have the resurrection power of God through His own Holy Spirit living in us! And that's the resurrection of our spiritual lives as well as the circumstances that we've messed up. I can say from personal experience that while God may not "fix" our situations in the way that we want or think they ought to be, when we trust him enough to surrender to him, he will never let us down, he will work our circumstances to our good, and he knows best how to bring new life out of destruction and how to turn our ashes into beauty. Jesus Christ is the best. Im thankful He had mercy on a sinner like me. Even gave me a chance to have a relationship with Him and love me.

I Thirst for You
"Behold, I stand at the door and knock… (Rev. 3, 20)
It is true. I stand at the door of your heart, day and night. Even when you are not listening, even when you doubt it could be Me, I am there. I await even the smallest sign of your response, even the least whispered invitation that will allow Me to enter into your heart.
And I want you to know that whenever you invite Me, I always come - always, without fail. Silent and unseen I come, but with infinite power and love, and bringing the many gifts of My Spirit. I come with My mercy and My desire to forgive and heal you, and with a love for you beyond your comprehension - a love every bit as great as the love I have received from the Father. As much as the Father has loved me, I have loved you. I come longing to console you and give you strength, to lift you up and bind all your wounds. I bring you My light, to dispel your darkness and all your doubts. I come with My power, that I might carry you and all your burdens; with My grace, to touch your heart and transform your life; and My peace will I give to still your soul.
I know you through and through. I know everything about you. The very hairs of your head I have numbered. Nothing in your life is unimportant to Me. I have followed you through the years, and I have always loved you - even in your wanderings. I know every one of your problems. I know your needs and your worries. And yes, I even know every one of your sins. But I tell you again that I love you - not for what you have or haven’t done - I love you for you, for the beauty and dignity My Father gave you by creating you in His own image. It is a dignity you have often forgotten, a beauty you have tarnished by sin. But I love you as you are, and I have shed My Blood to win you back. If you only ask Me with faith, My grace will touch all that needs changing in your life, and I will give you the strength to free yourself from sin and all its destructive power.
I know what is in your heart - I know your loneliness and all your hurts - the rejections, the judgments, the humiliations, I carried it all before you. And I carried it all for you, so you might share My strength and victory. I know especially your need for love - how you are thirsting to be loved and cherished. But how often have you thirsted in vain, by seeking that love selfishly, striving to fill the emptiness inside you with passing pleasures - with the even greater emptiness of sin. Do you thirst for love? "Come to Me all you who thirst…" (Jn. 7: 37). I will satisfy you and fill you. Do you thirst to be cherished? I cherish you more than you can imagine - to the point of dying on a cross for you.
I Thirst for You. Yes, that is the only way to even begin to describe My love for you. I THIRST FOR YOU. I thirst to love you and to be loved by you - that is how precious you are to Me. I THIRST FOR YOU. Come to Me, and I will fill your heart and heal your wounds. I will make you a new creation, and give you peace, even in all your trials I THIRST FOR YOU. You must never doubt My mercy, My acceptance of you, My desire to forgive, My longing to bless you and live My life in you. I THIRST FOR YOU. If you feel unimportant in the eyes of the world, that matters not at all. For Me, there is no one any more important in the entire world than you. I THIRST FOR YOU. Open to Me, come to Me, thirst for Me, give me your life - and I will prove to you how important you are to My Heart.
Don’t you realize that My Father already has a perfect plan to transform your life, beginning from this moment? Trust in Me. Ask Me every day to enter and take charge of your life. - and I will. I promise you before My Father in heaven that I will work miracles in your life. Why would I do this? Because I THIRST FOR YOU. All I ask of you is that you entrust yourself to Me completely. I will do all the rest. Even now I see the place My Father has prepared for you in My Kingdom. Remember that you are a pilgrim in this life, on a journey home. Sin can never satisfy you, or bring the peace you seek. All that you have sought outside of Me has only left you more empty, so do not cling to the things of this life. Above all, do not run from Me when you fall. Come to Me without delay. When you give Me your sins, you gave Me the joy of being your Savior. There is nothing I cannot forgive and heal; so come now, and unburden your soul.
No matter how far you may wander, no matter how often you forget Me, no matter how many crosses you may bear in this life; there is one thing I want you to always remember, one thing that will never change. I THIRST FOR YOU - just as you are. You don’t need to change to believe in My love, for it will be your belief in My love that will change you. You forget Me, and yet I am seeking you every moment of the day - standing at the door of your heart and knocking. Do you find this hard to believe? Then look at the cross, look at My Heart that was pierced for you. Have you not understood My cross? Then listen again to the words I spoke there - for they tell you clearly why I endured all this for you. Yes, I thirst for you. All your life I have been looking for your love - I have never stopped seeking to love you and be loved by you. You have tried many other things in your search for happiness; why not try opening your heart to Me, right now, more than you ever have before.
Whenever you do open the door of your heart, whenever you come close enough, you will hear Me say to you again and again, not in mere human words but in spirit. "No matter what you have done, I love you for your own sake Come to Me with your misery and your sins, with your troubles and needs, and with all your longing to be loved. I stand at the door of your heart and knock. Open to Me, for I THIRST FOR YOU…"

Thank you for the talk about God not being impressed. We all need to hear a hard message at times to shock us out of our complacency. I am trying to work out my salvation with fear and trembling to focus more on God's Holiness to be more reverential, for God will not be mocked. You are right. If our lifestyle does not correspond to the faith we confess on a Sunday in Church, then we are all in serious trouble. Jesus saved his harshest words for the religious hypocrites. I need to humble myself before the Lord, even prostrate myself, and trust in his tender mercies. Praise the name of Jesus. What an awesome Saviour we serve mighty to save a wretch like me. I feel like a sociopath. I feel i have blasphemed the spirit. I dont know if im depressed or if its some kimd of emotional disorder but i just dont love people or God. I have committed heinous crimes against God. I feel i am beyond repair. God has given me many chances and ive blown it over and over with the worst type of lifestyle. Im insincere. Ive been a hypocrite my whole life. I need prayer desperately. Please pray that God will create a pure heart in me.

You're not alone friend. I'm this way too, after years of all kinds of abuse. But we're not lost causes, because we still want to be right with God, and we're bothered by the fact that we're not. The minute you stop caring, is ironically the point you have to worry most. We're gonna make it through God's grace❤
Sometimes our hearts harden by our own actions, and going to Christ is us knowing we'll have to respond on what we've done (not in penitence, but in repentance) and also, compromise to not doing it again.
You can start by going to a church where people care, I went to one.
I knew Jesus Christ of Nazareth was my savior, but I felt as if I couldn't take him in my heart. I even felt afraid, and then realized I was afraid of opening my emotions, so they helped me in church and got me there where I could accept Christ again.
And also as other people mentioned, as long as you keep trying and having god in your mind you'll get there, keep praying and we'll also ask for you 🙏🏼
