I love that when ANY other Terran builds a Fusion Core, it's like a perfunctory "FUUUSION CORE... probably for Advanced ballistics." But, when Gumiho builds a Fusion Core, Winter has a full-on celebratory "FUUUSSSSION COOOORE!"
The BC game was literally the first Terran turtle game at pro level post-patch... and he lost😂How is that a buff? There is an argument for Protoss turtling harder against Zerg, as they are getting the new powerful mothership earlier and sitting back to Skytoss which is stronger now.
@cousinpatsey2471 I don't know why you're acting that turtle Terrans were buffed considering there's zero evidence of that at pro level. You saying that PF nerf & Ghost nerf = a buff to turtling? 😂 Turtle terrans have never been a thing since LotV came out. Zerg plays way more defensive by design. The turtle terran only exists in lower leagues where players don't know what a build is & everything is random.
I appreciate Winter always shouting out the tournament organisers, but he 'blacks out for a second' so often... I'm starting to be concerned for his health...
That last game was so sad for Gumiho; I feel like he really just straight didn't have the micro to pull that off. He had an equal army size to Reynor and a 3 upgrade advantage; any other Terran of his class could do it, but not him.

I always felt the 3-4 BC hit squad targeting outer bases then jumping back is incredibly undervalued. If a terran who's better at multitasking would do that (and not overbuild like that), I'm sure it would be a constant problem. In later game, only the outer bases are mining and they need to be kept alive but also quite hard to defend, BCs are perfect to take those out over and over again and the zerg even needs like 12 corruptors to deal with those which is basically dead supply in a ground fight. Not sure if the investment is worth it, but as one can see, T by far doesn't use all the tools in their kit at all and still are dominating the tournaments while serral used everything zerg has for the longest time and has a hard time lol.
Not worth it. Terran is massively supply inefficient compare to Zerg. Zerg is so supply efficient that they can attack multiple locations while Terran at the same supply cannot spread that thin to defend. Now if you subtract that Terran supply by 12 just so you can harass some outer bases then your home base if going to be over run. If the Zerg see that you only have 3 BC, they don’t even need corruptors, they will just build mass lings ultra and over run you, hence why Gumiho tried to build more. But again, Zerg has faster production, so whatever it is that the terran try to do, Zerg can easily build units that counter Terran. The only thing that Zerg cannot counter is mass Ghosts, but they nerf that so now Terran is hopeless vs Zerg in the late game. Their only hope is to beat Zerg in early mid game, or that their name is Clem.
@@teddanville6996 Buddy, why are you talking about things you have no idea about? T is the most supply-efficient race in the game easily, they just cannot rebuild as quickly and easily as zerg. Reynor kept his corruptors as corruptors instead of morphing them into broods even when gumi only had 3 BCs because otherwise the BCs are unchallenged in the air and will snipe bases non-stop. 12 Corruptors are 24 supply vs. 18 supply by the T so that is a net positive for T. The only thing that is really supply-efficient for zerg is banelings. Zerg vs. bio if T does not fuck up can only pray, nothing more, because zerg cannot micro as effectively as the other races into bio/tank positions.

Not only are 8 marines ground, so everything can attack them, they're also easily overwhelmed by almost everything, pure zerglings easily deal with them and on top of that they need vastly more time to kill a hatch. BCs are defended by corruptors or infestors only, nothing else can deal with them, but corruptors are useless in a ground fight except vs. medivacs or if morphed into broods. BCs also have yamato, so if the T is good enough, they'll usually yamato 3 corruptors and only then teleport out, meaning every flyby also costs the zerg 3 corruptors on top of the supply and resource cost of having them anyway.
@asdfasdf-mn8iu 8 marines are not ground when u consider medivac with them. Picking up is instant, you just pick up, hit boost hotkey and GTFO. And i bet 8 marines with 3 3 have way better time killing a hatch than 0 0 BC (i dont see many pro gamers going for air attack upgrades until waaaay down the line).
Comebacks can always happen but at around 9:45 I looked at the resources and supply and realized how the game was going to go. Obviously I'm one of those armchair grandmasters but I feel like Reynor could have closed it 10 minutes faster if he'd used that +3000 bank to do an ultra-baneling bust.
Just as Winter mentioned 5sec later, he did not control them. When a unit takes dmg and cant fight back (medivac ofc, but also for example cloacked units without detection) the unit just runs away from the source. In this case the medivacs all took dmg from the para-bomb and flew away from the source (the medivac with the spell on it)
How so? Camping used to win, this time it lost. hard. the patch can't force you to stop camping, all it can do is ensure that you lose if you play that way.

I have always loved Gumigof fancy strategies. But unfortunately it barely pays off, let's face it, in the end sc2 is far less a strategy game than an intensive micro battle playground.

I like the idea but Gumiho definitely needs to refine the strat. Definitely needed more vehicle weapons upgrades and maybe some hellbats/mines to soften the attacks.

Can someone give me at least 1 example in the past years where terran did nothing for whole game and let zerg get everything with max supply and 10k+ bank and win the game by outrading like 1:5? It litteraly NEVER wins. Why do pros keep playing it. Makes no sense to me.
The game is becoming hot garbage now, Zerg (and Protoss) keep getting gutted while Terran keeps getting buffed. Thors and Ghosts have zero counters now with the repeated brood lord and disruptor nerfs, the seige-breaker units that were designed to solve this problem. The Terran can just sit behind his planetary fortress with these busted units forever and basically play tower defense. They also made Skytoss even worse to deal with for the Zerg 'cause why not, as it doesn't effect Terran, while PvT remains unwinnable for Protoss as ghosts can still delete half their army's hp in seconds and make high templar useless. Further, in the last patch, they made turrets and sensor towers salvageable, and added a feature to heal bunkers instantly to further help Terrans turtle, even though the supposed purpose of the patch was to prevent turtling. The Balance Council is killing this game with their bias for Terran.
