Jennifer, I have to say, this pattern is the first time I have ever fully understood the C2C concept. You described the stitch pattern so well. Love the dishcloth. :)
There is a blanket I want to make using the c2c stitch, so I was looking for making the c2c stitch. I tried some other videos but could quite understand the decreasing. I decided to try your video and I'm so happy I did. At last it makes sense to me. Thank you for being such wonderful instructor. I was just using scrap yarn I had on hand and it turned out very pretty. I used an orange sherbet color and combined it with a variegated orange and white. I'll be checking out your other patterns,
I wanted to make a larger c2c project but I shied away from it because I wasn't sure how to do it. These instructions are nice and clear. I'm going to whip up some of these for practice and then go for it. Thank you.
Hi, I just discovered your video and loved making the fish cloth. I also try to follow the written directions however I think there is a mistake on decrease row 8 not used. It should stop after slip stitch into chain then turn. Thanks so much!
Please nobody hate on me. I taught myself to crochet a few months ago watching TH-cam videos. I made a dishcloth. I just don't get it. I tried using it to clean dishes and ended up having to use a sponge to get the dishes clean. I hung the dishcloth up to dry and it took three days. I used peaches and cream cotton yarn. Please tell me why these dishcloths are so popular and what you use them for. I sincerely want to know and to learn. This dishcloth series looks like fun and a good way to learn new stitches and techniques. Also, a good way to make nice gifts. So many people can't be wrong so obviously I am missing something. I would love to participate. I Just need to know how I am supposed to use them.
oh and one more thing.... Peaches and Cream Stripey is a newer version and it's way softer. My favorite cotton yarn at the moment is Hobby Lobby's I Love This Cotton. Happy Crocheting!!
Hi Victoria, I realize you posted your comment four months ago. I have been making dishcloths for about twenty years now but I’m not a fan of the crocheted ones. I knit mine, and the resulting cloth is flatter and much less cumbersome and dries much faster. My favorite “pattern” for these cloths is just a simple seed stitch where you alternate knit and purl stitches across the row. It makes a nice scrubby surface. 🙂
Bea Hi Bea, I have the same issue as the lady who commented. Do you find that knitting them makes a better more absorbent dish cloth? I too have crocheted some dish cloths for myself, but I find that I keep grabbing my old traditional ones first. I am the kind of gal who likes to clean fast, hard core, and just get things done. I find that my Cotten dish cloths are not absorbent quick enough to my satisfaction. Do you have any suggestions for me? Thanks so very much, God bless 🙂
I made some facial clothes for a facial gift basket patons has a really super soft cotton yarn that made some beautiful facial wash clothes. I found the patons cotton yarn at Michaels.
You can do as many blocks as you want before you start the decrease portion. In the video, Jennifer did nine blocks, changed colors, did one more increase row and then started decreasing from there.
I don’t know if you made a corner to corner blanket baby or for an adult size? I watched other people and got so lost. If there is a way to help me out I would appreciate it big time. Thank you in advance
Hi Jennifer, I just wanted to you regular cotton yarn for my c2c dishcloth and the border with scrubbie yarn how would I do that?have a nice week nancy from wasaga beach, ontario, canada
She is just trying to make sure we all understand her instructions clearly. Crocheting is meant to be relaxing, not stressful, and part of being relaxed when you make patterns is understanding the pattern itself. Jennifer's teaching style is excellent, and her voice and way of explaining things is soothing.

Simply Thank you for taking out the mystery of this pattern. How easy and fun to do. Have a blessed day.

Victoria love- I feel the same exact way. Still trying to figure it out. Thanks for your comment, you are not alone!
Do the crochet dish cloth work as well as the regular dish cloth from the store?
Milly Suzy Ayala Yes! I’ve always used cotton yarn for my dish cloths and I won’t use any other dish cloths now!
They are better than store bought dish cloths!
They make amazing gifts too for house warming, spa, gift basket, holiday, etc!!
Fiber Flux I like to package them in 3’s, and if you look on Pinterest, you can find printable labels for wrapping them up to give.
Sooooo much better my husband loves them too 😍
Are these for dishes only, or are can they also be used for washcloths (for people)?
Kim Rodriguez I use them for everything. Wash cloth for bath or in the kitchen. And I make some for cleaning
I use them for everything too! They're awesome!!
Thank you, ladies😊😊‼️
