Melanie was as Beautiful in the inside as she is on the outside....Glad that someone, or her hubby keeping her videos on line....Miss her much...She is Heavens Sweetest and Precious Angel❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I just took a beginning crochet class and came to TH-cam to check out beginner video and found this pleasant and talented woman. I am so sad to read she has passed away.
Ohh. I love the simple stitch that turns out so pretty. Just found Melanie yesterday. Her videos popped up randomly. I think she knew what I was looking for from above. I was so sad that she fought cancer to the fullest, God needed her in paradise. I made one of the washcloth yesterday and thought of her alot in each stitch even though that was a first of her videos. God bless her family and friends. I will come back to her videos. Thank you Melanie
I made this for my favorite teacher. She just had a baby and got back to school from her maternity leave and I just know she'll love it. This tutorial was so easy to follow. Thanks
Hi there. New crocheter here. Just wanted to say you are an excellent teacher! Your tutorial was very easy to understand and it was easy to see what you were doing. Thank you!!
My cloth has holes all thru it LOL. I've made these before, and going to make some more, but look nowhere as nice as yours Melanie! I love all your vids, thank you for sharing. God bless, hope you are doing well : )
Hi Melanie! I'm a beginner in crochet but I absolutely love it. My first project was a tiny basket, and I just started my second project with your beanie tutorial. I'm so glad i found your videos, I have learned so much, thank you! Also I would like to ask if you would consider making some type of amigurumi later on, they are very cute.
I was wondering when you start off of foundation chain to begin Crocheting do you just put your needle through the top chain and the back bump as shown in previous how to do foundation video. Or do you just use the top of chain?
I haven't tried this pattern with the alternating single crochets and chains! It's super clever. Thank you for showing us how to make these washcloths!
Hey Melanie, I just started croocheting last week, I have always been a knitter, I am enjoying your channel. I am about to go see if you have a more basic blanket pattern on here! Keep up the great work!
While you need some texture in a facecloth, what smoother tight stitch could I use for someone with delicate skin? I assume a cotton would be ideal but maybe going down to #3 weight would be better for soft skin???
do you have any videos for a brim for a hat? all the ones I've seen are with bulky and I'm looking for one with a size 4 worsted weight yarn. thanks :-) I love all ur videos. if I get stuck I always look if u have a video for it lol
I enjoyed watching your video. Would it be possible to make a left hand crochet playlist of your crochet tutorials? As a beginner, it would be easier to follow of your video were flipped from right-hand to left-hand. your baby shower tutorial idea is a cute idea. thank you.
Hi Melanie I love all your videos they are very very helpful! Im wondering if you have any other way as in stitches to do the messy bun hat? I have tried 3 times now with the help of your video and im just not getting it! Im still a beginner and im still learning new stuff everyday! Maybe im just not ready for the messy bun hat yet? I dont know but feel pretty dumb i cant do it! Thank you for being such a good teacher though i love your videos so much
Where do you get cotton yarn from? I've look at my local Michaels and Joann's and I haven't found any yarn that's just cotton:( but I would love to make some wash cloths for my baby boy...
Both Michael's and JoAnn stores sell Lily brand, "Sugar 'n Cream" cotton yarn. Try their websites to order online. Check out the coupons. Great product line.
Melanie, love this project! I’m making this for my son and his wife for their soon to be little one! How many row do you think would be big enough for a baby cloth? This is the first time I’ve made a baby cloth. Thank you for your help and for making an easy baby cloth! 🤗
I’m 51 and determined to learn crochet with Melanie’s help. So sad she passed away. Such a beautiful lady with a gift. Glad she’s still able to share.

Hi Toby! It could be that your tension is too tight, especially when doing a SC in a space.

Like the stitch, makes the cloth sturdy.
Thank you Mel. My daughter is trying to learn crotchet, this would be a great project for her.

Great little washcloth! Nice and easy stitch!
I bought the peaches and cream the yarn and when I do the washcloth like the single double across it looks like an ice cream cone upside down
Wow this was the easiest thing to follow and it turned out so nicely! Thank you!
You have the best videos. Always easy to follow what you are doing 😃
You are such a good teacher.
Looks easy. Single crochet, chain one, skip one, repeat. What is this stich called. I love the look. I hope I can duplicate it. Thanks!
Hi! Love your channel!
Question: would this be too rough for a baby washcloth?
& how many chains/rows would I make for baby size?
I'm not sure what the answer would be but sadly Melanie went to be with the Lord some time ago from cancer.
Like it so much! Precious Melanie!! God bless you!!!🌸I will also try this stich on a baby blanket
I'm reading some of the comments and wanted to know if these are for the kitchen or for babies?
I am certainly going to make these next! Thank you 🧶❤

I try to make baby blankets at lease 30 inches by 30 inches so I would go by measurement rather than number of rows ;)
