    I think I deciphered the Mark Wiens food rating system:
    1. "Oh, that's good" no facial reaction -> It's good, but nothing more.
    2. "Mmmh" no facial reaction -> It's tasty.
    3. "Mmmh" smiles -> That's really good.
    4. "Oh, oh, oh..." smiles -> That's an amazing piece of food.
    5. Slightly lean to the right with a smile -> This is awesome. I could eat it all day, every day.
    6. Slightly lean to the right with a smile and closed eyes -> This is the best thing ever.

    .91 cents for Shawarma? I would hand him a $20 and eat until I couldn't move. lol The Pickled Turnips are to-die-for, so good. I'm glad you got to try them. I would LOVE to be able to eat there one day. For now I have a Middle Eastern cookbook and make my own stuff.
    Camera Bomb! LoL Mohamed wanted to be in the video action, for sure. I heard a little giggling towards the end about American. Hmmm.

    Amman offers a dazzling array of flabbergasted foods and desserts, the city became a communal experience for most of the surrounding areas. Amman one of the oldest cities in that region.

    • @snowywinter9
      @snowywinter9 8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Are you sure that it is the food, and not any of the several other reasons? :-). I can't for the life of me see why this food would kill anybody, after seeing the kind of greasy, unhealthy grub an average American sustains themselves on any given day. And an average American lives much longer.
      Regardless of which, it is pretty sad to realize that an average Jordanian's lifespan is only into the 60s...

      What's the recipe?

    • @hebahr.2576
      @hebahr.2576 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Le I Johnson basically you should soak the lentils first in water, drain it, then boil it with chopped onions, tomatoes, carrots and butternut squash (garlic is optional) . After that mix it in a blender add cumin powder, some coriander powder, chicken stock or vegetable stock , salt and pepper. Return it to the pot and cook it for extra 15 minutes then toast some bread and serve it with half of lemon just to squeeze it and give it that fresh flavor.
      P.S: you can add some fine nest pasta after you blend it.
