Hey. Ya, that Kizer action is SOO dope!! It's a mystery how Kizer gets such unique acoustics and feel compared to other companies equally wonderful action. I'm very glad Kizer did the blade and clip in satin. Dr. EDC's blade profile is probably a love it or hate it thing. I'm cool with it. I have this in one of the G10 tuxedos. Doing it in Kizer's very excellent micarta, just makes for a very different vibe. I completely agree Kizer's jimping is the bar! Why can't the other companies give us our jimping!?!? As a negative is that they didn't do a clip showside filler plate!! I just Hate that so many companies just walk away from this finish detail. Thanks for the review! ✨😺
Finally a version of the Cormorant with scales I like. I swore that I wasn’t buying any more knives this year so of course I just ordered the Cormorant. Kizer is killing it this year.
Just got mine in the mail today! I have the original g10 version with the x’s on the scales too. The micarta feels much more solid and just sounds better when opening. Not sure if it’s bc of the different handle material, but I’m loving it so far
They finally figured out nobody liked the stupid scales!!!! 🤣 Guess the 4th or 5th time is the charm! Lol! Looks way better in the micarta and titanium versions. Pretty sure I've got a twosun that was designed by Dong but I could be mistaken. Too many knives and names to keep track of in the collection. Not a bad problem to have tho!😅 Great video brother 👍 Appreciate it!!!
Love the Cormorant. Glad for the Micarta! But that Ti Frag Cormorant is FIRE! Also, for the button stick, try this rememdy. Unscrew all the screws then screm down evenly. sometimes button stick occurs because the scales are screwed in uneven so there is pressure on the button. Try that!
My personal review below, but first an answer to your question about Yue Dong... Probably been pointed out already, but if not, Yue Dong, while collaborating with Kiser, is also a cofounder of Vosteed. Can't say for sure that all Vosteed knives are from his designs, but I know that many are. REVIEW: Just received my Cormorant today. I'll admit that I was not a fan of the video game looking versions, but I am a SUCKER for micarta, and this micarta is excellent! And while it may be called OD, I'd say that my example is more of a desert sand color with just a hint of OD. Just mentioning this because many of my other "OD micarta" knives are a much darker green. Also, I wasn't so sure about the odd little hump on the blade. But, I will say that, after playing with the knife for a while, I now see that that "little hump" adds a lot of functionality. The ramp and top jimped surface add a lot of possible holds and angles for various cutting jobs. The jimping is JUST right, and well placed everywhere one would want jimping. And how many knives offer SIX deployment methods??? The rear flipper and middle finger flick work most excellently, the slow thumb roll is obviously smooth and effortless, and just using the button to make it a "gravity" knife works well too. I can do the reach around fine, although it's slightly awkward. And while the thumb actuated front flipper works, it'd by my last choice. Overall, a really, really good design and execution. So, I must say that this may very well become my favorite overall design of all time. The action is perfect, as is the centering, the scales are nicely done and well fitted, and overall, I find no quality issues on this knife whatsoever. Only negatives for me, and these are nit picks really; I wish they had paid a bit more attention to refining the sharping choile into a true finger choile (it's SO close!), as a righty I hate when manufacturers fuck up the aesthetics of the show side with unnecessary holes and recesses. I mean, I get it, for a lefty this is a really nice thing, so that's just a personal quibble. But, truth be known, I relish a knife that DOESN'T have a reversible clip for that very reason. And while serviceable, my example didn't have an exceptionally sharp factory edge. But, we all love sharpening our knives, right? All in all though, for really nice micarta, S35VN steel, a truly functional blade design for so many uses, a fantastic action, button lock, many deployment methods, and a really good clip, this knife is an absolute NO BRAINER! I hate the caveat, "for the price" so won't use it here. This is just a really nice knife that also just happens to be priced well, considering it's features, materials, and quality. I can't wait for the micarta to develop some patina from handling and use. And it'll get a LOT of use due to the addictive fidget factor this knife brings to the table. Buy you one! You can thank me later.
I'm a budget bitch through and through. There are very few knives around 100 that I would buy but once this micarta version came out, this knife jumped to the top of that short list. Lot of reviews that say the detent is poorly tuned for most of it's deployment methods but none of the video reviews I've seen mention it so I dunno. As someone for whom fidget factor is a high priority, this guy is hard to beat.
A minor amount of lock stick on a button lock isn't really a negative when you consider the nerdy complaints of "lock failure" which is really bounce out when the knives are used in an unusual and weird way. The "lock stick" actually makes the action more resistant to bounce out. Then again, who the fuck bangs the spine of a folder? And why? Tool for the job and all that....
I managed to purchase the Kizer Cormorant exclusive. I was surprised that I didn’t like the locking mechanism at all. The minute you the lock button, the blade swings absolutely free. It feels like there is little blade control and a huge chance for a accident. Too bad for me. It feels great in the hand and would easily be my EDC. I have to really think about it now.
Why? They're clean and healthy and maintained. A little bit of nail growth is hella handy my dude, nature's tweezers. Ever tried to use a stiff slippie with a nail nick but you got no nail? It's torture!

Mojave Outdoors is a great company to do business with. I like this version.
Frag pattern in 20cv from WMK is my favorite
Like the looks of the micarta much better than the first version. Thanks for the review Wayne!

Total transformation to a super appealing edc👌👍
They’re releasing a cormorant in elmax black with black fat carbon scales 🥰
Just got the Ti Frag version in 20CV in the mail today! Loving it!
Man that's the one I want so bad but definitely can't afford it.
My favorite Cormorant configuration thus far is the frag titanium by far. It has the feel and the sounds! Thanks for the review.
The sound is nice fs
Did you get the ti frag ?
@@GBall_Vision yes sir
I need one of these bad boys, WMK drops the XL variant of the original one today as well plus the new titanium one. I want all 3 lol.
Your code makes me smile…”Party time! Excellent!”
😁🤘🏼🙌🏼😂
I like the half a dozen openings options! Good looking knife at a fair enough price.
Just ordered mine today!
I don’t care for the strange looking scales on the other models. I like this one a lot. It actually looks like a good knife instead of a plastic toy.
I picked it up today Wayne. I was sold once I saw the Micarta. Thanks for showing it.

Still on my “to get list”….and I agree with on the grip styles. The micarta is a beaut!
Nice review.
Thanks bro!

Nice!
I just pulled trigger on the new 4v KC exclusive. Micarta just works so well on this design. Love the action tink sound too.

If you’re bored with the usual OD green, try the Cormorant in the Mexican Serape- now that’s unique!
The micarta scales looks so much better than the usual G10, if only they made a mini
I'm struggling with the silly scales available now. I wish I could find the micarta version.
I totally get that! 🔥🔥🔥
Yea I want that knife but 120 little steep...how smooth bro!
A very cool varient. Great review brotha 👍
Dr Yue no longer works for Kizer. He's now at Vosteed Cutlery
Absolute winner, I've been bitten by the kizer bug
Add oil to the push button and add lock tight to the pivot.
Gmpb1 for 110 / guru for 79.....50% off of both rn....bonkers deals
How does s35vn compare to 4v? There is also a version in 4v is why i ask.
For general EDC, I prefer S35VN. This link will educate you more…

There's the v1 V2 and V3 all in g10, the micarta ones, and I think a titanium one?
Just picked one of these up using your code ! 😎💪
Appreciate you, bro! Enjoy! 👊🏼🙌🏼
I hope they make after market scales
If you can't decide which new Kizer hic-cup you want I guess this is the knife for you.

Different strokes because I love that in my HIC-CUP that knife is a half baked gravity knife 😆
That’s why people buy it, for the smooth action. it works good for a righty, good grip no where near the button.
You gotta cut them nails, dawg 💀
Why? They're clean and healthy and maintained. A little bit of nail growth is hella handy my dude, nature's tweezers. Ever tried to use a stiff slippie with a nail nick but you got no nail? It's torture!
@@aawillma I’m mostly just trollin, I very much enjoy this channel, it’s just very distracting to me lmao
Check out Jerry Loffelbein for some good knife content and fun nails lol.
