When Masachika brushed Yuki's hair was one of the rare scenes in which both of them were fully serious without the usual banter. Masachika wanted to make sure that Yuki understood that his decision for helping Alya was not a decision against Yuki.
Yuki is such an enjoyable character. Her silly antics really have been the best things in this show so far. The laugh she does during her hiding under the bed was absolutely hilarious.

I adore Yuki. If this weren't a normal romance anime, or if Masachika were into incest, Yuki would definitely win, but they had to nerf her for the sake of the plot. Her power is so overwhelming that she can even break the fourth wall. I love how she teases Masachika with incestuous situations, but unfortunately, Yuki got NTR'd. 🤣🤣
I wonder how many people will have missed the most important parts in the Yuki/Masachika exposition. Because it shows Yuki's third side, alongside the prime ojousama, and the crazy otaku buddy. The loving sister who is trying to "motivate" him again. There is more to come concerning this angle storywise, but this is the "real" Yuki we can see, when she is neither wearing the ojousama facade, nor in her playful otaku form.
She wanted to signal to him that she doesn't mind, and that he can always "come back to her". Her message for this was "no hard feelings, bro, don't worry".

I have to praise this anime, and probably the source material for that the girls aren't the usual stereotype, and their personalities are pretty interesting which in term makes the anime more interesting.

Yuki knows Masachika dearly loves her, and vice versa. But as his brother/sister, not as wincestuous bro/siscons.
Alya sensing a different aura about Masachika. It's just because he has to deal with Yuki's nonsense early in the morning, on top of being awfully hungry. For sure, Alya's presumably E-cup boobs need a good long peek, and the sneak peeks from her armpit to drinking tap water. Masha being a big sister figure for Masachika, it sure gets in Alya's way. But the differential in Masachika not having breakfast enough to keep being awake, Alya sure had a misunderstanding, but ignores him throughout.

Masachika, and Yuki sibling banter was amazing, and wholesome moments too. I love their character dynamic so much. They really care about each other. Also funny that Yuki actually did what she said she was going to do and hid under his bed in the morning back in episode 2.
Alya progressively getting more conscious of Kuze, I like it. Interesting to see how Masha will fit into their dynamic given her role in the backstory that was implied.
Even with those situations, she is still going to fight as his sibling rival. "I'm still not gonna lose" with a determined look which makes me hyped for their competition in the future.
I can see that Alya, and Masachika are slowly developing their relationship. If we can have more of it this show will be extraordinary.
So far this is the best romance in terms of both the MCs dynamic in the season.

Kind of a nothing episode in terms of plot but filled with character interactions and plenty of fanservice moments too. Liked the chemistry with Masachika and Alya at the end there after meeting Chisaki and seeing her and Touya flirt unintentionally in the Student Council room.

The thing I like about Alya is that, while she's indeed a tsundere, when the moment's right, she's still honest with her feelings. A good example is whenever she thinks Kuze is hurt or isn't in his normal state. She racks her brains out to find out what's wrong and is always ready to help him out, most tsunderes won't even do that shii and still get tsun tsun even when the MC is literally passed out or is depressed asf

Honestly, imo, Alya is the weakest point in this series, whereas Yuki has been the strongest so far. Unfortunately, the author already had to name the series after Alya, so she has to be the focus, and she’s definitely going to win any romantic rivalry. If the author hadn't put Alya's name in the title and kept the romantic competition open, I think it would have been a lot more interesting.

Now surely, it also takes romantic interest for that kind of relationship to bloom, and yes, Masachika appears to have no romantic interest for Yuki, but can the contrary be said? I would not say that Yuki not wanting to really act upon her feelings (including by not feeling jealous of Alya) is any sign of them not existing. That would be a disservice to the commitment of all the men and women around the world who have multiple love interests but decided to be with one specific special one.
For fucks sake, girl hasn't even considered dating someone all this time, while Masachika has acted flirty with both Masha (past) and Alya (present).
I don't know if this will be possible, but I hope the two can come clean about their mindsets with each other one day... Yuki by admitting that she's in love with Masachika even though she dislikes the idea of anything coming out of it and Masachika by confessing that he never allowed himself to fall for Yuki because of the inconvenience of her being his sister, instead trying to find romance somewhere else (and, as it seems, succeeding).

I think that Yumi's (Masachika's and Yuki's mother) father wouldn't allow her to get a job. He's extremely traditionalist, down to misogyny and shit, and in turn, raised his daughter to be subservient and shy.
In fact, Kyoutarou (Yumi's ex-husband and the father of the sibling duo) made his whole career choice solely based on what would allow him to be together with Yumi (he wanted to be a police officer, but grinded his ass into being a diplomat instead because that pleased Yumi's father). Their divorce was less of a breakup and more of allowing both to breath some fresh air.
Yumi and Kyoutarou still love each other very much and will probably remarry when Yumi's asshole of a father finally kicks the bucket (hope he does it soon).
