Master Peter, Had to go to Costco to get a bottle of Kirkland BDM to try. Tried Whole Cluster and Kirkland Wilamette valkey pinot to experience the difference. Agree that W.C. pinot was much better and well balanced. It was fun to do my own comparison tasting while watching your video again. Looking forward to more interesting blind tastngs.
The best thing to do is buy the wines you recommend and watch the video again while drinking the wine that is talked about. Thank you for the great learning experiences.
I am an advanced sommelier but listen con baited breath to each word Peter expounds. Mineralogy is king and now I pay attention to it in Sangiovese because of him. Some of my favorite non Sangiovese wines are BV Tapestry and BV Latour; I would love to here Peter and Jay’s and Patrick’s critique of these two?

Box wine would be fun, also interesting to compare it with same bottled one. I noticed an interesting looking wine in a box, "Casa Charlize Toscana Rosso" both in a 3l box costing $28, and same wine but in a decent looking 0.75l bottle for $8, after scanning it in Vivino app I was surprised to see that it has 600 ratings and 4.1/5 rating which is quite high for that price, and especially high for something that is put in a 3l box.

I agree with Peter on Chianti Classico, & Champagne. I would also take Vino Nobile or Brunello di Montalcino, Franciacorta, and a well balanced oak Chardonnay from maybe Burgundy.

I use the 8$ cheap wine for cooking beef stew, it's so cheap and just gets the job done when you are measuring wine in "cups" and not consuming it. They even got a 14$ for three liter variety!

The same goes for wine. Prices that satisfy consumers should be set with minimal quality. Peter's metaphor is very exquisite.
Can you provide suggestions for a great wine. Wife is turning 50. She prefers dry wines, doesn't like grapefruit notes. Typically will drink pinot grigios, some sauvignon blancs, pinot noir, and cabernet sauvignons. She really likes Veuve Clicquot for champagne and Kris Pinot Grigio as a value wine. Thanks!

오늘영상도 잘봤습니다. 다만 영상으로만 느끼자니, 상당히 어려운부분들이 있는데, 피터께서 와인을 드시면, 향이나 맛을 하나 하나 분석하시곤 하는데 고양이 오줌...이라던지 ㅎㅎ 빵굽는 향의 느낌이라던지... 이런 맛에대한 분석은 어떻게 느껴야 하는지 궁금합니다. 입안에 머금고 맛과 향을 느껴야 하는것인지 삼키고 나서 올라오는 잔향에서 분석을 하는것인지 이 향이 어떤 향이라는것은 워낙 스승분들께서 비유가 출중하셔서 와닿는데, 와인을 마시는 어느 단계에서 느낄 수 있는것인가가 항상 궁금했거든요 와인에 대한 맛을 느끼는 와인킹님이나 피터선생님의 방식을 배워보고 싶다는 생각도 듭니다. 항상 양질의 영상덕분에 많이 배워갑니다. 감사합니다.
저는 레드는 이태리 산지오베제, 프랑스 피노누아와 론 지방 GSM 들이 너무 제가 좋아하는 맛과 향이 더라고요. 까베르네 쇼비뇽 같은 탄닌이 강하고 오크향이 진한 것들은 제 취향이 아닌 것은 확실히 알았습니다. 화이트는 여러 가지 다 좋아하는데 레드는 극명히 갈이더리고요. 내가 좋아하는 와인 스타일을 알아가는 여정이 매우 즐거운 것 같습니다. 아직 더 비싸고 좋은 와인은 접하지 못하고 있지만, 언젠가 마실 스 있을거란 기대로 엔트리급 와인부터 차근차근 밟아 나가야죠. ㅎㅎㅎ 피터 MW나 와인킹님과 비슷한 와인 입맛을 갖고 있다는 것만 해도 영광입니다. 더 열심히 공부해야 겠네요...^^

brunello 2015 is one of the best years for that type and is already possible to find it in costco from kirkland, la poderina and il poggione
