Big fan of the Olympics series so far and exposure to new wines! One day Peter will sip a satisfactory Sancerre or Chablis, maybe even the beloved Petrus, but until then it's MORE OAK and swearing! 😀

I've tried a couple recommendations as well, so far I'd say batting 2 for 2, which I'm okay with!
it would be great if they have an archive on their websites for what wine scored what so I can stop searching through videos in front of the wine aisle.
@ That would be great. Where I'm from wine is kinda expensive and with not so many options, so it would be really helpful to be able to search in a optimized way for the good wines.

I learned so much from buying this bad wine! I mixed it with some other california blends to make it drinkable.

I was at Tablas Creek two weeks ago and had the wine in your tasting. I live in Paso Robles and have the benefit of many vineyards here, however, I had never tasted Tablas Creek before. I was very impressed with the flights - both red and white - but was more impressed with the white wines they had in the flight. The one you tasted Esprit Blanc was included, both 2018 and 2017 in our flight. I have to say that I did not taste the over oaked wine when I tasted it. In fact according to my notes, I just wrote LOVE THIS and the same for the the 2017. I am hard on white wines like Peter is, so I was very pleasantly surprised that I liked the white wines over the red wines which I personally like better. I did spot a difference with your bottle and with my notes. I have 13.5% alcohol and yours is 13%, also the amount of the blends is a bit different with your bottle and what is on my label (3% Picardan, 2% Clairette Blanche). So try again Peter - don't give up on Tablas Creek.
Love to see the wonderful Assyrtiko on the top. Greece makes amazing wines such as Xinomavro too!

I’m surprised the Tablas Creek did not show well. I’ve been drinking their wines for years, and, as Peter mentioned, I’ve never had a bad one before. I really admire their restraint and elegance as compared to many, many other Paso Robles and California producers. But I appreciate the honesty in this tasting. On a more positive note, I’ve been enjoying Assyrtiko lately, which showed very well.

Hi Jay & Peter! Great vid as always! Jay if you want to trick Peter a little, Serve him Corsican Wines (Alzetto Prestige, montemagni etc ) If you can find them that would be awesome. Great old wines characteristics from an French island. They can be mistaken as Italian wines

Really impressed me with the blind tasting of the Aus riesling. Rarely spend more than $15aud on white wine haha, but I’m probably gonna splurge on the Powell and sons riesling after this

Please taste Hungarian wines in the next video. I would really appreciate to hear your opinion of our wines. I could recommend St.Andrea and Hegyi-Kalo from Eger, Szepsy from Tokaj, Fekete and Gyorgykovacs Imre from Somlo. Those wineries all produces exciting unique wines with articulating those terroirs they are cultivating on.

Great videos. Have you ever tried Portuguese wine? I would love to know the Master's opinion on Portuguese Red Wine, more precisely Douro wines. Typical grapes would be: Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca and Tinta Roriz. Cheers mate!

You should taste some "domaine Tariquet", french wine made in "cote de cascogne" with a local grape variety named "grand manseng".
I tasted some "premieres grives" 2019. The only thing i regret is that for the life of me i can't remember where i bought it :(
It is some kind of "ad" but a stupid one since i'm a champagne producer. I sell grappes to maison "mumm". But don't buy that. Too expensive for what it is.

혹시 조지아와인 테이스팅 좀 더 해주실 수 있나요? 이번에 레드와인 올림픽 보고 조지아 레드와인 세 병 먹어봤는데, 세 병 전부 맛이 독특했는데 한 병은 진짜 너무 맛있었는데 다른 두 병은 진짜 입에 대기도 힘들 정도로 쉰내가 너무 강렬했어요. (다른 두 병은 조지아에서 와인 만들 때 쓰는 항아리로 만든 와인이었음) 조지아 와인이 역사도 좀 있고 얘기거리도 많을 것 같아요!
