In the hundreds of videos I have watched on loc maintenance, this video had been the most clearly shown video and explained one so far. Thank you for taking the time to show us your work. Pretty please make some more videos on starter locs and extension installs :)

Thank you so much. I'll make some more asap! Until then if you visit my website www.elementallocks.co.uk you will see a few in person workshops that i am teaching if you're in the UK. I'll be converting them into online courses soon :-)

I thought it was just me until I came to the comment section but I have 4 months been looking into touching up my locks at home. This was the first video to actually show me step-by-step what I need to do.

it helps when you explaining how to hold with fingers and pull, pinch. Thank you from afar way from where you are!!! ive spent alot of time researching and getting to know all the different techniques that you can create with synthetic hair, and wool dread making. Crochet is my fav. but where im at, when i started this "journey", there was no loctician around, hundreds of miles, that knew of the crochet dreading technq. When the love of this art for my hair I figured out how to do, i became a mad woman with synths, extensions, colours, wool accents. The way my hair is NOBODY that lives around me, would ever wear, doesnt see dreads in this way. People do compliment, but unless I know your TRULY interested in my dread style im not going to waste my breath explaining ANYTHING!!! THE NEGATIVE COMMENTS hair stinking and dirty and whatever else negative. omfg!! i swear. Im actually glad though that crochet technique was mentioned in the dread style (morgin riley with the long red dreads). Im just glad i didnt go to someone who would have put product in my hair and done it a way that i wouldnt have liked. This alllll started in december 2017. i follow you and others on instagram, and in the 5 years i know quite alot. You and several others=OG LOCTITION QUEENS!!= I definetly look up to and appreciate everything that yous put out there for people like me to learn and watch so I can incorporate into my own technq. SO SORRY THIS IS SO LONG!!

This Video is amazing. I just search soon a while for these kind of videos, everyone : Put the fingers so and just pick it so (fast move. Can't see what they do) ... But you show it slow, that's amazing. I made synthetic dreads, that's why I search these kind.
    Thanks you!!! ❤️

Hey Barbara. Thank you. For demonstrations I loosen and unpick the roots to imitate the look and texture of grown out roots. I loosely crochet the roots together to mimic how they naturally join at the roots over time when left :-)
