Chief of Army Cadet Team Challenge

From 3-7 July 2023, 100 Australian Army and Air Force cadets from across Australia participated in the Chief of Army Cadet Team Challenge in Canungra, South Queensland. Over 60 Adult Staff and 40 Army cadets supported the various challenging activities. This annual event sees the cadets assessed in multiple areas including navigation, use of radios, first aid and patient management, field craft and engineering, leadership and problem-solving. Cadets then participated in a team confidence obstacle course at the conclusion of the challenge. Each team consisted of 10 young men and women from units across their state or territory, and a ‘Barbarians’ composite team. The Cadets had to qualify for the event by undertaking rigorous military-style training in their units prior to their selection for the challenge.
