I’m from around Maplewood. Maplewood Village has nice low density old shops, and Springfield has more of the mainstream. I always prefer to go to the Village, as Springfield is pretty close to Inrvington. However, Springfield does have a huge, beautiful park, and the pool. Village is better for shopping, but Springfield is also nice, close to a Walgreens where you can pick up a small snack.
