    Thanks for this tutorial! I have made two zombie maps with this box in it and they are so much more fun now! I also have Easter Eggs in them so if anyone wants to try to beat them the maps names are Höllenbrut Der Untoten and Lichter Aus. If you can't figure them out I have a tutorial for them on my channel. Thanks again for the great tutorial!

    I've made "timestamp dumps" (or whatever you wanna call them) for two of Taclys' Tutorials. Whenever I'm bored, I make them on Notepad for personal use, and I was wondering if there's a wanting for them. I'll make more, if you want.

    Best Vids Ever! I would be completely lost with out your tutorials THANK YOU SIR! now if i could just ask for your expertise on matter. Me and my son have been working on a game mode similar to juggernaut (Demon player being the juggernaut)
    we had it all worked out for Demon rune spawning in on a timer and on being killed dropping the Demon rune. but my son wanted to add a little flavor by adding a random Ai encounter that could be triggered by a button. now we play tested it and all was going well till we found out that when the Ai kills the actually DEMON PLAYER. the Demon rune will not drop or Respawn and pretty much leaves us in limbo and breaks the gamemode all together. We kinda concluded that when the Ai kills the demon player that its does not register it as a kill and basically under minds the logic strings. Now we did do a test
    by changing the proxy to any player versus just a demon player and it did register the drop and respawn. So were not sure if this is a bug in the game or we are forgetting a step in our logic. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thank you and keep those videos coming! :)

    Fun fact: you can select and copy entire lines of code.
    I accidentally created a horrifyingly difficult lockdown room by copying my gore nest wave event and then triggering all 3 to see what would happen.

    I'm new to watching people snapmap tutorials but I decided to go back and finish my old maps.
    I love creating unique mechanics. I simulated boost from DOOM Eternal
    I plan on using this but instead of Weapon Name font I'm going to have the small props weapons appear so that cycles instead much like COD zombies chests

    Also just a tiny tip u could do something kinda like this with both my random relay thing or the integer, but with this you could stop the entire solid part of the spawner (Interactive excluded) and as the repeater is going, for however long it goes, you could set a message at the top that says "The weapon you are getting is..." (Or anything else) and if an item is picked there is the item name as a message that probably should just last 1.5-3.0 seconds. (Example of in-game look - You use an Interactable that is supposed to be a random item box/generator, and it says directly after pressing at the top of your screen "The weapon you are getting is..." And when the message {and code}, finish you get something like a Super Shotgun, and at the top the message is replaced by "A Super Shotgun!" {Message lasting example - 1.75 seconds} and then it disappears, or if u wanna do CoD Black Ops - Zombies style, you can make it cost currency {or any other custom resource, for that matter}. {Example inside example?!?!?! - after all the previous coding, in the start of the logic chain do a check for the player resource cost. If false, it will not succeed in the coding, and maybe add a little "not enough [whatever resource]" message at the top, the message should last about 4 - 5 seconds, and while it shows the message there should be a "Disable Interactive" and an "Enable Interactive" To save time and storage, you could put a delay, or to make it a little harder, more time taking [for whatever weird reason], use a timer, and then the "Enable Interactive" function. [In-game example of example - You try to use the box but you do not have enough currency. It shows a decline message for 4 - 5 seconds, so after this you decide to farm. After coming back, you have enough currency. You use it again and all the stuff in the previous in-game example occurs.]}) That was a huge explanation for such a small thing, but the small amount of people who think like I do who did not know this now know every aspect.

      I know this is a question from 4 months ago but.....
      when you are editing in the "Integer Compare" node while highlighting "LHS" hold options (L2 on playstation) and in the bottom left it should say "swap variable/constant" (square on the playstation) and that's how you swap the number for a variable

    the node right behind the "spawn weapon" has a setting for where the weapon spawns, which by default is "explicit location" (meaning where "spawn weapon" is) but you can set it to "activator"

      and activator is obviously the cylinder

      The activator would be the player, not the cylinder. I want the weapon to always spawn in the same place.

      +Seris Taclys you are right. I just tested it. I have always used just a cylinder trigger and a spawn weapon with no delay, so I assumed it spawned in the cylinder because i was always still in the cylinder.

      I'd be interested in something like this too. I'm bossing a map where I don't want it to be survival the entire level, only after a certain point as I have some secrets and lockdowns in place for the beginning. also, can you only have 12 AI active at one time? seems to be the case.

    hey i wanna know how to get weapons when i enter a room for a bossfight and when its done i lose it again
    i got a system but it dont work in multiplayer because just the first one get the weapons and i have the same problem with the cameras. maybe you can make a tutorial with that.

      Schlagschinken that easy put on open(talking about door to room) go to player inventory give weapon. Then put on open (door that's the exit take weapon from inventory.

      Simplifies version of trusty - Go to the door before the bossfight, and with the "On open" trigger, use a logic chain leading to loadout to add weapon and edit that to whatever weapon you want. That way when the door opens, you gain a weapon

      hold L2 (or whatever your keybinding is) and press (square for ps4) to change from single numbers to [variables] then bumper over to integers.

    is there a way to make a demon friendly to use as defence then buy buffs for that demon to increase dmg/health. multiple times without having a seperate interactable then hiding and showing a new demon with the increased buffs

      I've probably put about 10 hours or so into SnapMap total, but when I decided to actually build a mystery box and figure out random variables, about an hour.

    So I followed all your steps I put in 14 weapons 1 being chain gun and 14 being vortex rifle when I test the machine the only names pop up are the chaingun and the vortex rifle what did I do wrong I don't understand

      SuplexRanger Productions I'm horribly late, but you should be able to. It has an on used trigger like a panel, and you might be able to set the box to not drop anything itself.

      Gabriel Martinez add 2 world texts saying Mystery box following up with the price then set it to check resources and to spend it, if successful have it run the randomizer process. The resources/cash spending is really simple the complex part is making sure all these nodes are setting the intergers right and that nothing is getting crossed the wrong way.

    I have a technical issue I was hoping you could help me solve. I am making a random box with all 21 weapons and modified weapons, I followed your code exactly and the box does work.. but only every other use.. I have spent hours combing through the logic lines to find any mistakes and everything is perfect. I'm wondering if 21 different weapon spawns is just too many variables? The first use does nothing, then every second use it works flawlessly, it spends the currency on every use as well. Any idea what could be causing my problem? love the tutorials btw, excellent explanations =)

      ** Edit ** can someone please test this to see if it is possible to have 21 different items on a random box? I'm getting all kinds of bugs, and no matter how I rearrange the logic chains I get the same results. the bugs themselves however seem to vary, even when the logic chain is unchanged.. i.e. it's not always the same bug, even without changing the logic chain. can anyone please test this and verify my results?

      Yes. It would be the same as with currency but make the variable the player's current health count instead of the currency.

      +BUY_MY_MIXTAPE I implemented a cool idea concerning the BFG. it's way overly powered and can really destroy the challenge you meant to provide in your level. I created a secret room in which you see and step into a teleporter. I have it take the player to an unconnected module and as soon as the player picks up the BFG, a 10 second timer starts along with the spawning of AI that you blast to gain currency and points. when timer is up, your BFG is taken from you and you are automatically teleported back to the secret room where the teleporter is no longer visible. I thought this was a fun way to implement the BFG without killing the difficulty I'm going for. the currency is for weapons and doors while the score is for a level up system which has some nasty code like this mystery box does. lol! nice video! keep em coming! loving snapmap.

      Just use a simpler random relay path, (which you might see my comment explanation in this behemoth of comments) and add 2x the signals on the other guns to make the 2x BFG more rare, 3x the signals for 3x more rare etc.

      Imitation is the best way to learn a new logic system. Once you figure out how to replicate something, you can create something original.
