    Not likely I'll ever have the cash ( or property ) for this, but everything you show, from the builds to the installs, seems like it'd be worth every last nickel, dime, and penny to get one of these. You aren't just building cool man caves or whatnot, you're building something that'll last and actually hold up.

    Great Video Ron! You definitely build the best bunkers/shelters. You don't cut corners and you build them right. Everything I see you build is very thought out and precision outstanding. Nice to find someone who really cares about what he's building. Is there a way to filter the air intake? I'm so impressed. I've watched several of your videos.

For that kind of planning, I would have had a "T" at bottom of that escape tunnel with a flange plate where I could bolt in the next phase (option 2) of an escape tunnel.... perhaps a 100' away where you can pop out near the fence to get out if property was overrun.

  • @ecleveland1
    @ecleveland1 ปีที่แล้ว

    With a little planning all the air pipes could be hidden in walls or chases inside the building above ground. The walls could be soundproofed to hide the noise from any diesel generator or ventilation pumps pretty easy also. No one would be the wiser.

      1 gallon per person per day. Fallout will dissipate rapidly following an ‘event’. You really only need to shelter for 3-5 days.
      Say occupancy of 5 people, that’s 60 days of water. If it’s a non-radiological ‘event’ you can keep topping up the tank from your mains connection or other sources to extend your time.

  • @andrewallason4530
    @andrewallason4530 ปีที่แล้ว

    Just wondering, Ron, if you could make use of the decontamination room as the bathroom? Save space in the main body of the bunker. Just fit the toilet, micro-sink and the one shower in the decontamination room. Makes it a bit more difficult to move through the space, but it could be made wider to accommodate.

    • @andrewallason4530
      @andrewallason4530 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Also. At 43:10 you have a guy putting a prop under the escape tunnel. Would it not be better to make that a T, with a spot below the tunnel to accommodate the bulk of the earth from the top box should you need to open it.

    • @josded
      @josded ปีที่แล้ว

      You do not want your decon room to be used for anything else aside from decon. You want it to be as clean as possible and as easily cleaned as possible. Preferably with a floor that slopes to a central drain, that can be easily be scrubbed to eliminate any residual contamination.
      Fallout has a short half life, but if someone drops a dirty bomb, you will need to decon every time you come back after going out.
      Ideally you would have the equipment to survey your decon room and the people you are decontaminating to ensure no contamination enters the main bunker😊

    • @ryan8374

    That crane costs a lot of money to get it to the site and have all the workers continually measuring and moving the bunker back and forward. when you build a house on a slab you pre draw all measurements on the slab exactly where the external and internal walls have to go. I was wondering why you don’t mark on the slab exactly where the first bunker has to go. Double check your measurements etc before the crane arrives. You would only need 2 men in the hole when the crane is lowering it. One in each diagonal corner and they would not be mucking around with measuring tapes. The bunker is made to exact measurements so it must work. Cheers Steve

    • @MrVillabolo

      It's huge but it lasts less than a second. The rest of the bomb's energy goes into the blast. The way those shelters are built, and the soil several feet thick, I'll guess that it could withstand a 300 kiloton bomb a mile away.

      So let's use the standard Russian Bombs on Subs, they are between 400 KT to 800 KT and can be spun up? What does Spun up mean, that means before they launch the Missile from the sub they set the explosive power of the Nuke anywhere between 400 Kilotons to 800 Kilotons. They are usually airbursts over Cities/Airports/Military Bases/Capitals/Major Cities/Industrial Hubs. Airburst depend is minimum of 10,000 feet to max 20,000 feet or any where in between. That means depending on height of when the nuke is set off (explodes) the ground impact for out to 2 miles will be between 6 Megatons - 10 Megatons. So you don't want to be in that 2 mile range below a nuke when it goes off! It will normally put a 1/4 mile to half mile hole in the ground. Providing the fireball of the nuke doesn't hit the ground or it's not a impact hit (like going after bunkers or things deep in the earth)! To survive outside the 2 mile range you need to be a minimum of 3 feet underground with 3 feet of concrete (preferred) or at least 3 feet of tightly compacted soil! That's minimum, more is better! Second thing to take into consideration is radiation! There are 3 types of Radiation in a Nuclear Blast! 1) Gamma Radiation, which is the most lethal! Gamma Radiation lasts 7 hours and reduces by 10% after 1 hour, by hour 48 it is 1% of what was released! You have to find a way to shelter away from that Radiation! Gamma can penetrate in the earth. Some military scientists during the 1950s and 1960s estimated that you would need a combination of concrete and lead shielding or depending on size and location of blast or 10 to 15 feet of tightly compact Earth! 2 & 3 types of Radiation Alpha & Beta, they last longer and are more dependent on types of isotopes used in the Nuclear Bomb! Rule of thumb is about 2 to 4 weeks minimum underground, and wearing protective Gas Mask & Gear (suit/boots/gloves/ect.) when going to surface for short periods of time! Remember the ground and everything you touch is contaminated with radiation from the isotopes! Depending on Isotopes radiation will last from 200 years - 800 years on average for most (half life), some will be thousands of years to millions of years if they use dirty nukes!

      Sorry 2nd reply: If a Russian Satan 1 Missile is launched it carries 10 warheads that can be spun up anywhere between 18 Megaton - 25 Megaton. 1 Satan 1 missile could wipe out the entire state of Texas! Russia to date has deployed 46 of these Satan 1 Missiles! Russia is currently deploying 50 Satan 2 Missiles which carry much bigger warheads, up to 40 warheads per missile! Satan 2 are also able to avoid Missile Defense systems! So one Satan 1 or one Satan 2 Missile could wipe out entire state! Satan 1 and Satan 2 are launched from Mobile Launchers! Russia also has over 1200 silo based Nuclear Missiles! So per Megaton add 2 miles to the blast hole it would produce. So a 20 Megaton Nuke set off at 10,000 - 20,000 feet would produce a hole in the ground half a mile deep and draw a circle of 40 miles out from where it is set off! That is the width of your hole in the ground! No survival shelter would survive that. So if your building a Survival Shelter, don't build it in Cities or by Airports or by Military Bases or Industrial Areas or Command Control/Capitol/Telecommunication Areas! These are all very high value targets! Find some where, where there are not a lot of people and not close to Yellow Stone Caldera! Russia President Putin has threatened if war breaks out he would put a 25 Megaton Nuke (ground strike) right down Yellow Stones throat, which would cause the worst eruption of Yellow Stone ever scene, taking out over 2/3rds of North America and radiating all the material/cloud mass/ect. that would come out of that Volcano! So maybe build your dooms day shelter in a country like Argentina? Stock up on 5 years of food and have deep water well with NBC filtration and enough seeds to restart planting when you can return to the surface! That is if you want to live!

    A little bit of pre planning on slab layout would save time from all the jossling of the main structure. I don't see any control lines chalked on that slab. Get your shit together boys!

    Okay this guy has my respect. "Have you heard the rumor that dipping tobacco leads you to homosexuality" this is a goood boss. I worked with a few conservatives that could take a joke and tell a joke.

      That would go against Op-Sec. Ron hires interstate crews to install the bunkers, to ensure the owner isn’t getting any ‘knocks on the door’ later on. If you had a bunker, would you want your neighbours to recognise where it is?

      Definitely would not be prudent to show those kinds of details where someone might get enough info to go find it.

    Your bunkers are grade A quality American made! Your competitors ( if you can even call them that) who built that flimsy box made of Swiss cheese, needs an ass whoopin’ !! 😎🇺🇸
