    I've had this exact same fridge for years. It was in my bowling alley lobby for the longest time where the noise wasn't really noticeable. It was stored for a few years and I recently moved it to my office where the fan noice is borderline maddening! Finally did a Google search for "Redbull Fridge Fan noise" and you video came up. Imagine my surprise to see you have the exact same model as me. I appreciate you doing all the work figuring out the replacements & links so I can just order and not have to dismantle twice! I also really dig your idea to put in switches for the lights. I might try that myself!

      I'm so glad it helped! It's a huge reason I'm making these videos.

    You can straight up swap the fluro out with some white LED strip. that will remove all of the polymerisation from the UV.

    Long story short, my wife contacted some one about mini fridge recharge. I'm puzzled but trying to figure out what could fix the problem. I see your video a couple of times but decided to give it a shot thank you!

    I have this mae model and it keeps burning the lights out but I think the previous owner might have put the wrong light in, what are the specs for the top and inside lights if youd ont mind me asking?

    I have the same fridge and mine cools just fine and is pretty quiet for a fridge but it is leaking water and water is forming in the bottom I do have damage to the seals debating if it’s worth fixing. Let me know what you think thanks and great video!

    Great vid! Can you put a link to the switches that you used to control the lights?

      I think they're just generic 240v rocker switches from digikey i had lying around. I'll see if i can find some ones off amazon that should work, if you want. I didn't link them just because high voltage gets a little hairy to mess with. So figured if you felt comfortable enough to do a mod like that, then it shouldn't be too hard to figure out a switch you can trust for the situation. Hope that doesn't feel like gate keeping though!

    I recently got one a Red Bull fridge exactly like this, I need to do a lot of restoration any websites I should definitely look at, I will need new decals, bulbs and a front Red Bull faceplate.

      Unfortunately I haven't found any sites that specifically supply parts for these fridges. Might be able to get things done with a custom vinyl company or something. And maybe look at converting it to LED bulbs while you're at it.

    Great video! very detailed, I been having problems with my fridge where it doesn’t cool my drinks anymore and they only get hot. Is there any way to fix this?

    Can you show us how you wired the switches in? I have the same fridge and want to install switches!!!

    What kind of light ballast did you use and model of them please if you don’t mind me asking ?

    I have a similar model fridge. It looks identical however the rear cooling part and light setup is completely different. My retail store let me have it because it stopped working. It would make a whirring sound similar to a cow moo ing? I've no idea where to even start

    @johnM-Jr 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    The lights flicker on my baby cooler. I guess it's the ballasts that you showed at the beginning. Would that be your guess?

    • @ReadySetProjects
      @ReadySetProjects  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      yeah it would, though if my ballasts were having issues I'd entertain converting it over to LED tubes and getting rid of the ballasts. just my 2 cents

    I received a similar fridge from my boss, but it has a detachable power cord that he couldn't find. It looks like a 3 prong 125v 10a power supply, but the markings on the fridge says 250v. Should I buy a 250v power cable, or will the 125 work?

    How did you get the fan out?

  • @joenottoast
    @joenottoast 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    not sure if you can help, but i have this fridge and the bulbous part of the condenser coil(?) keeps getting wet and dripping into the body of the fridge. should i try to insulate that or is there something else that might be causing this? there is no freezing/ice. the fans work and are clean.

    Great video. Have you changed the bulbs yet? I decided to order led because of the heat

    • @ReadySetProjects
      @ReadySetProjects  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      thanks! and no i haven't had to change bulbs yet, but I would also opt to change to LEDs for the same reason. No sense in the little fridge having to overcome the heat of the bulbs too. just inefficient!

    What fans did you replace the old ones with?

  • @happysidhu5066
    @happysidhu5066 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hey man can I ask u where did u find the exact replacement fan for this unit? I can not find one if my life depended on it mine makes the same horrible noise

    • @ReadySetProjects
      @ReadySetProjects  ปีที่แล้ว

      The fan's aren't "exact" replacments. I couldn't find anything on getting true OEM replacments, but after looking at the dimentions and crossreferencing all the fan specs of what i could find. The ones i have linked in the description should be as good if not better than OEM ones. Hope that helps!

    I have this exact model and was having issues with the noise. I was curious if there was a sure way to tell if the noise is coming from the outside or inside fans or something else? Also if you have any advice for how to control the lights that’d be amazing!

    • @ReadySetProjects
      @ReadySetProjects  ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry this is a bit late probably, but if you wanted to check which fans are making the noise, just unplug it, take off the outside cover for the compressor and outside fan. and put a stick or something in the blades to keep the fan from spinning. If the noise persists then you know it's the inside ones lol Should work to figure that out!

    I accidentally broke the tstat, can you replace with off brand t stat?

    • @ReadySetProjects
      @ReadySetProjects  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'd imagine so. Usually thermostats are just a on/off output, so as long as thing's aren't crazy different they should work. But i also haven't adventure there yet with refrigerators before

  • @ericsharp7996
    @ericsharp7996 ปีที่แล้ว

    Anyone able to find the thermostat replacement yet?

  • @TyphoonBoom135
    @TyphoonBoom135 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Any issues with the fans you wired in so far? I got the same fridge for free and both condenser fan and evaporator fans need to be replaced so I was gonna go with your choice.

    • @ReadySetProjects
      @ReadySetProjects  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      No issues at all. Though haven't been running it 24/7. The winters get too cold. I'm not worried about my fan choice if that helps. But I also didn't see a lot of other options either.

    You guys,
    Nice work! Can you help me with my stickers on my fridge? They are colored of the sun.

    • @ReadySetProjects
      @ReadySetProjects  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If they have some flex left in them (not dry and flakey), maybe try a automotive buffer and some buffing compound to slowly shave off the outside layer and see if theres some color left under the faded exterior.
      But I haven't heard of many people being able to "restore" stickers. Most the time they just replace them. Unfortunately I dont know where to get replacements. Might be able to find a place to make custom replacement stickers though!
