Yeah, I'd kind of throw Warrior in the same idea. Sure, did it make a lot of sense? Not most of the time. But both could hold your attention and a had a gripping personality. And generally had a confident and steady delivery on the mic. Lesnar arguably would go in there too. Cackling maniac Lesnar (even in the early 2000s) is always a good time, its when he tries to be serious and intimidating that his voice pitch and stuff usually comes off weird.
IMO, calling this the "worst talkers" list is a bad thing to call it. All of these people are memorable in their own way, I'd argue the worst talkers are the ones we don't even remember. So I think he belongs on the list, just the list's criteria is flawed

Hey Michael I ain't just picking on you cuz if I'm hearing it right, your glory in shayne for working the indies(or to be factual...notably having a match with Joey Ryan and his sex toys...sorry but that's shayna's indie run...not a big fan of either...but I gta admit...it's sad that shayna was so bad that she couldn't take beating and betraying Ronda, and have a selfish run with the title after....like even for WWE that's sad, usually just almost everytime someone betrays in story...there is a big run afterwards. Warrior had excellent mic skills for the time. The young demographic loved it and that's what helped him skyrocket to the most popular wrestler next to Hogan

Speaking of mic botches, Bret and Davey were brothers-in-law, not cousins. But interestingly enough, Bret was also a brother-in-law to The Dynamite Kid, who was Davey's cousin.
Steve MuFuggin Blackman didn't need promo skills. He just needed the most devastating movie of all time. The MaFugg kick. If he was constantly chasing country music loving robot monsters he could have been as big as Stone Cold

Somebody named ultimate warrior and pulled the promos he did.. what's the problem? He's exactly what he should sound like! Crazy intensity that was authentic that these other wrestlers never could pull off.

I'll agree Warrior was nowhere near Ric Flair level promos but his promos seemed to be geared towards us kids. We could understand it and decipher it any way we felt like. Not to mention the intensity of them were insane.

The Ultimate Warrior has the best promos in the industry, at least once you've heard them you will never forget them. And an unforgettable promo is the best promo.
I myself enjoyed (and really never struggled to understand) was Warrior - up until just before Wrestlemania VI and beyond when he went flom high octane to molasses soft speak. And one other thing I have taken flack for was being easily won over from is letting in ring performance. With such I couldn’t get enough powerhouse demonstrations from Davey Boy Smith, as well as the Powers of Pain.
I geniunely think that the Ultimate Warriors promos are amazing exactly because as nonesensical as they were, Jim Helwig was 100% insane and actually completely meant every thing he said. It's one thing to just say stupid stuff because you think that that's what the audience wants to hear, but it's a completely different thing to just ramble to your hearts content putting full conviction behind it with no regards to what anybody else might think about it. It was crazy, stupid and batshit insane. But I wouldn't put it under the label of worst talker.

Ganz besonders als er sich von seinem Bruder Rick löste und auch im Jahr 2000 als er sich immer mehr zum Top Heel der WCW Liga entwickelte. Da entwickelten sich auch seine Interview Segmente immer weiter. Da gab und gibt es bedeutend schlechtere Talker im Ring. Wie eben hier schon gezeigt Steve Blackman. Einen Mann aus der Attitude Ära, den man in dieser Liste auch noch mit einbringen könnte wäre Ken Shamrock. Ich habe an Ken Shamrocks Interviews auch nie wirklich etwas unterhaltsames gefunden. Und auch als reiner Wrestler war er nur gut im Ring wenn er einen guten Gegner hatte. Bei Sid und Brock Lesnar kann man sich darüber streiten. Ich fand immer das Sid nie viel reden musste um überzeugend zu sein. Und das gleiche konnte man auch von Brock Lesnar sagen. Bei den beiden konnte man wirklich das berühmte Sprichwort verwenden: Handlungen sprechen lauter als Worte. Eine Wrestling Legende die zwar auch fantastisch im Ring war aber dafür auch nie so wirklich berauschend am Mikrofon herüber kam war Ricky The Dragon Steamboat. Im Ring konnte ihn damals ja kaum jemand überbieten aber ich fand seine Promos immer irgendwie etwas zu freundlich. Er war zu jedem Gegner, egal ob der ihn vorher schon mal angegriffen hatte oder nicht am Mikrofon zu nett. Solche Sachen wie: Mit dir mache ich kurzen Prozess oder Mit dir rechne ich ab im Ring, hatte man von Steamboat selten gehört. Deswegen wirkten seine Interviews auch immer irgendwie etwas eintönig. Da hatten seine ewigen großen Rivalen Macho Man Randy Savage und Nature Boy Ric Flair ihm eindeutig etwas voraus.
Sid Vicious/Sycho Sid is actually brilliant at promos. He perfectly comes across as exactly what his character is; unhinged brutal moron. "...and I have only half the brains that you do!" That is pure gold. I've known people who would proudly and unironically say stuff along that line and consider it a flex. Some people are so proud of their stupidity and look down on smart people. He does it with such self awareness. It is literally why his character works and why he was so popular. No he can't do the kind of things promo giants like Hogan or The Rock do; but he figured out his angle and portrayed it perfectly.
Ronda Rousey was surprisingly boring and dull on the mic. She really needed a manager to do her promos for her. Rousey was such a charisma vaccuum and seemed to be very uninterested on being in WWE arenas on such a many occasions.
@@J.J.Jameson_of_Daily_Bugleor lean into that cocky shit talker aspect more. There’s a reason she was a big star in UFC and sure promos aren’t as important but it’s no doubt promos helped guys. McGregor outshined the UFC itself because of how much of a shit talker he was and same for Rousey. Her promos were just too overwritten
She wasn’t much of a real fighter either, Holly Holmes and Amanda Nunez handed her own ass on a sliver platter. Which I still enjoy because I don’t like her as a person period.

As far as Tamina, as bad a wrestler and talker as she is, what keeps her employed is that she’s one of the sweetest and nicest people you ever meet, and the women’s locker room see her as something of a mother figure. Also, I kinda feel bad for Dana Brooke, especially since she just got released. She seemed so passionate and tried so hard, but it just never translated into any improvement.
Tamina seemed like she was primed to be a top talent, but man she always got injured at the worst times every time she was getting something of a push....
Scott "Big Poppa Pump" Steiner does not belong on this list. The amountof awesome things he said outweighs all the so called bad promos. Genetic Freak was hilarious in WCW. Also Ultimate Warrior in his early days rambling on and on about rocketships and space-time continuum. He was just too into it way more than anyone could understand.
Scott Steiner does not belong on this list. He actually gave 0 f*cks if he got in trouble. The Ric Flair promo, The Purple Headed Warrior promo. He's an all-timer.
I'm surprised that X-Pac didn't make the list tbh lol. I love X-Pac but my goodness was he horrific on the mic. Seeing how he hung around HHH, Road Dogg, Billy, Hall and Nash you would have though they could help him out with his mic/promo work but he would constantly try to sound so cool it ended up sounded so cringeworthy bad lol. That was the biggest thing holding him back from ever evolving as a character
Steiner is one of the Best Promos ever, people STILL talk about him just because of his Promos. Thats the only reason he is known for by most of the fans. Sure his Run until he became the "genetic freak" is impressive but most people dont even remember that. The guy is just looks and his promo nonesense.
I love the fact that more than half the comments are about scott Steiner being great at mic and not deserving the disrespect to be put on this list. Dude was undeniably one of the most entertaining wrestlers of the greatest era in pro wrestling industry. He was unique.

Marina Shafir's "You know me, you don't know me" promo effectively killed any chance of anyone taking her seriously ever again. It ranks up there with Syd's "I have half the brain that you do" promo in the "rambling nonsense about nothing" promos.
I know Steve Blackman did not have "good" mic skilks, but he didn't need to be a good talker to get over. Fans loved Steve because he was a legitimate tough guy who could kick anyone's ass at any time.
Despite all his flaws Ahmed Johnson's legacy is ruined mostly by people who weren't old enough to see it live or accurately remember. Dude was badass and everyone wanted him to be champ and go at it with Austin.
I would rather listen to Scott Steiner ramble about random topics than listen to any Cm Punk promo, there, I said it, I have never ever seen a Steiner promo that wasn’t either brilliant or entertaining as hell lol
Scott Steiner is one of the greatest talkers of all time. He is one of the most entertaining personas to ever hit television. Who has more memorable quips or promos: Scotty Siren or Christopher Daniels? Daniels has never stuttered or butchered a promo as far as I remember, but that’s because I can’t remember a single word he’s said on the mic. This goes to all my freaks out there, BPPIYHU HIYHM.
Sorry, but I don’t believe the narrative that the Warrior was a bad talker. Rather he was pretty exceptional playing the role he created. That of a larger than life Superman from parts unknown who spoke in riddles and cryptic imagery. His intensity was awesome.
I would have replaced Scott Steiner with Jeff Hardy. Although I like Jeff Hardy and he's a good in ring performer, he was never much of a talker like Matt was.

Sid was believable. He was a big scary crazy dude and he came across that way on the mic. His WrestleMania 7 promo was really good.
Sid had great facials as well which goes a long way. He literally looked crazed so incoherent rambling wasn't exactly off brand.
Sid's presence and delivery made up for what he was saying. Which made him a decent promo. Steiner fumbled words but he was so entertaining.

Bei den beiden konnte man wirklich das berühmte Sprichwort verwenden: Handlungen sprechen lauter als Worte. Eine Wrestling Legende die zwar auch fantastisch im Ring war aber dafür auch nie so wirklich berauschend am Mikrofon herüber kam war Ricky The Dragon Steamboat. Im Ring konnte ihn damals ja kaum jemand überbieten aber ich fand seine Promos immer irgendwie etwas zu freundlich. Er war zu jedem Gegner, egal ob der ihn vorher schon mal angegriffen hatte oder nicht am Mikrofon zu nett. Solche Sachen wie: Mit dir mache ich kurzen Prozess oder Mit dir rechne ich ab im Ring, hatte man von Steamboat selten gehört. Deswegen wirkten seine Interviews auch immer irgendwie etwas eintönig. Da hatten seine ewigen großen Rivalen Macho Man Randy Savage und Nature Boy Ric Flair ihm eindeutig etwas voraus.

Sid Vicious/Sycho Sid is actually brilliant at promos. He perfectly comes across as exactly what his character is; unhinged brutal moron. "...and I have only half the brains that you do!" That is pure gold. I've known people who would proudly and unironically say stuff along that line and consider it a flex. Some people are so proud of their stupidity and look down on smart people. He does it with such self awareness. It is literally why his character works and why he was so popular.
No he can't do the kind of things promo giants like Hogan or The Rock do; but he figured out his angle and portrayed it perfectly.
Ronda Rousey was surprisingly boring and dull on the mic. She really needed a manager to do her promos for her. Rousey was such a charisma vaccuum and seemed to be very uninterested on being in WWE arenas on such a many occasions.
I think she was still full of herself and thought she was the "real fighter" and wrestling was beneath her.

McGregor outshined the UFC itself because of how much of a shit talker he was and same for Rousey. Her promos were just too overwritten
She wasn’t much of a real fighter either, Holly Holmes and Amanda Nunez handed her own ass on a sliver platter. Which I still enjoy because I don’t like her as a person period.

As far as Tamina, as bad a wrestler and talker as she is, what keeps her employed is that she’s one of the sweetest and nicest people you ever meet, and the women’s locker room see her as something of a mother figure.
Also, I kinda feel bad for Dana Brooke, especially since she just got released. She seemed so passionate and tried so hard, but it just never translated into any improvement.
Tamina seemed like she was primed to be a top talent, but man she always got injured at the worst times every time she was getting something of a push....
Plus doesn’t hurt that Tamina’s father is a legend or that she was temporarily married into the Anoi’a family…

I'm surprised that X-Pac didn't make the list tbh lol. I love X-Pac but my goodness was he horrific on the mic. Seeing how he hung around HHH, Road Dogg, Billy, Hall and Nash you would have though they could help him out with his mic/promo work but he would constantly try to sound so cool it ended up sounded so cringeworthy bad lol. Scott Steiner is one of the greatest talkers of all time. He is one of the most entertaining personas to ever hit television. Who has more memorable quips or promos: Scotty Siren or Christopher Daniels? Daniels has never stuttered or butchered a promo as far as I remember, but that’s because I can’t remember a single word he’s said on the mic. This goes to all my freaks out there, BPPIYHU HIYHM.

Sorry, but I don’t believe the narrative that the Warrior was a bad talker. Rather he was pretty exceptional playing the role he created. That of a larger than life Superman from parts unknown who spoke in riddles and cryptic imagery. His intensity was awesome.
