I drive the UX as a daily (F Sport) and my mom has the NX (non f sport) and we both love them. Two very different cars but great reliability :).

Hi,
the UX is smaller by a longer shot, especially if you want to talk about back seat and cargo/trunk space. Especially the hybrid version of the UX, you get less room compared to the standard non-hybrid UX as the hybrid battery is located in the trunk, unlike the rear seat of the car it replaced, the CT200H (which I also used to own).
The driving dynamic is.. the UX feels a tad more car-like vs the NX handles (still just fine) a bit more like a small SUV, and definitely more like a crossover than the UX. This may just be due to the fact the UX has a lower center of gravity and also less weight.
NX has better interior trim overall but I still love the UX for its simplicity and the fit and finish is still great.
I'm not too sure what other specifics you are looking for but I'm happy to answer them if you'd like to specify.

Thank you so much first of all for that, was just wondering the actual difference especially in interior space between the two as they seem to differ by a small percentage in terms of exterior measurements but greatly in cargo space. I guess this is probably more due to the shape(height, slope) of the ux rather than length which I was comparing. which always matches the more car like driving behaviors which you mentioned. Again, thanks for ur info~

I have an 2016 NX hybrid with all bells and whistles which I like a lot but it’s a bit bigger than I want/need now I’m on my own.. so VERY happy to see this smaller version as long as it has all the gadgets. I note it has an amazing turning circle .. hope I’m right about this as I have a tricky parking space; the 360deg cameras on my NX are brilliant but better turning circle will help a lot. But can’t part with the cameras!!

I work at a Lexus dealership and the NX has been a popular crossover for us this last couple years. The demographics for the NX is mostly women and the empty nesters. Adding the UX to the line up will make this a stronger segment for our brand. It’s gonna be a good substitute for the folks who cant get into the RX price point but still want a Lexus. We’re very excited about this model and cant wait for it to hit our showroom...

lilybeth pivaral really depends on your needs and budget. If you spend alot of time in the car driving then you’ll appreciate the RX much better. More room and much smoother ride. The NX is great around town because of size, easier to park and nimble in traffic. I love both but me being a bigger guy i prefer the RX. Win/ win situation either way for you.if you have the chance drive both and you’’ll feel the difference.good luck on both

Owner of 300h NX 2017. The v. Good car. More 24000 km today over ,see what will happen with battery. I had Camry h 2.5 2014. Lexus NX in visier in a future, good sits and a bit luxury a bit more than in Camry.
The UX has a new interface, instrument cluster, and Apple CarPlay. The NX needs to update these features and add a Pano and it’ll be invincible. Same with the GX.

I like the headlights of the UX but overall design and proportions still go to the NX for me.
I like the nx more but ux better from the front.
To my eyes, the NX is much better looking !! Of course, beauty is the subjective thing !!!

My NX is fine, but the back lift door is proving a bit small for my needs. The UX has an even smaller back lift door, so even though the UX looks better, it is not for me. I love Lexus products and when my lease runs out of my NX, I will be back for another Lexus (hopefully, one that is self-driving).
Self driving in a few years? You may have to look into getting a Tesla then...

Looks very much the same, I have a 2016 NX200T, love it, kick ass car, has everything I need, don't like the black plastic around the wheel wells, kinda choppy, NX more rounded, I do like the taillights better though, both very nice cars.
Still prefer NX. In my opinion.

I think the NX looks better from the side and front quarter... Otherwise, the UX looks better in most angles

Went to check out a pre (UK) release version today... the boot/trunk is small. And I mean VERY small - unusable for a couple on a weekend trip.

Clive meant UX. The UX trunk is tiny. I recently purchased a 2020 UX, drove it for an hour, then "reversed" the purchase for a 2020 NX. The UX details are lovely -- sleek and super feminine -- but the vehicle was built by and for a teeny tiny woman. The UX has terribly weak horsepower and it's a hatchback, not an SUV.

NX looks better from the side and rear 3/4, interior and overall proportions. UX's rear is too raked and overall looks like a raised hatchback like a MB GLA.

The UX is a great CUV minus the 2019 corolla engine. Should have had the camry 2.5l 200hp motor. I think it would fit in the engine bay
For me I like more Lexus NX but Lexus UX also has a perfect design and I think is faster because is the smaller car than NX but really it was slower. Thanks so much

NX is better. However the deal breaker for both cars is the conventional shift stick, so boring.
The backs are kinda disappointing, you can see how much smaller the trunk is on the UX at 2:11
So is the side profile you can see on the UX that if anyone sits in the back seat that they only have a tiny window to look out of
Nx interior much better. The top of the vent in the front fender of the Ux looks awkward as it is angled the wrong way. The headlights of the Nx concept car was much better than the production car.

It puzzles me why a car company would introduce another model that is maybe 5% smaller? Will it actually sell so many to justify? All I can see is that it only cheapens the brand. Make it like a Toyota.
