Because as the engine room is always positive by air . If we open top cover later there might be a chance of injury. I am not sure sir can you please inform am I right or wrong sir??

Can we extrat oil from sea using Oil water separater (OWS) on ship and to use extract oil in same ship. As we are using and cleaning sea water in Fresh Water Generator, can we also etxract oil from the same?
Sir if a system is fitted with circulting pump while doing economizer water wash do we need to stop circulating pump and close water inlet and out let valves ... If possible can u explain the procedure when to stop circulating pump and after finishing water wash how to open valves and start pump because once we done water wash after opeening valves the steam pressures goes down ....so slowly slowly we need to bring back normal ...so can u explain this procedure
sir, my book says: the most effective approach to carry out water washing of economizer, when the "draft loss" value reaches upto 1.5 - 2.0 times higher than the intial non-fouled draft loss value. sir, what exactly is "draft loss"? can u pls help?
Draft is the pressure difference between inside and outside of exhaust manifold. This draft ensures the easy uptake and flow of exhaust gas. For ex.. During Economiser cleaning when you blow air for cleaning you can c the air going upwards.. That is due to draft. If the draft is less this may increase the exhaust gas flow dwell time. Draft loss may be due to any improper sealing in the system.. Hope this reply will satisfy your query
Sir. If economiser is fire. What are the action I have to take sir. I have to raise main engine speed because more exhaust gas remove soot present on tube. Or reduce speed?
Sir sorry fir late reply.. I somehow misd your query... once there is economizer fire... Bypass the economizer.... Continue running the circulation pump in parallel.. Don't do soot blow.. Hope this reply will satisfy your query..

This wash water can be neutralised by using chemicals as it is having acid in it and can be pumped out.. If not it should be given to shore facility..

Nee need to drain sir.. U can stop the pump and start the cleaning after Economiser get cool down

Definitely vl do a vdo on it sir.. No need to stop the circulating pump until unless it is recommended by maker,,
