And doing it while pointing out the lame hamfisted ways other comic book adaptations try to incorporate the "strong women moment". I guess girls really do get it done

Other shows would not be able to resist the temptation to make a slugfest between four super-strong characters some kind of epic battle. There would have been a ton of jumping and flying and blasting, and none of it would have really meant anything. Not The Boys. In The Boys heroes don't 'duel', or 'battle'; they just fight, like ordinary people. They didn't 'defeat' Stormfront - they beat her ass the exact same way three normal folks would gang up on a fourth, and it was awesome.

There's different types of actors. You have character actors who can transform into another person and have you believe the performance, then you have people who essentially play themselves but still give authentic, real performances.
She could even play Stephanie Brown bargirl. Although Barbara is the OG (and better lol) Also did you know the actress who played Butchers Aunt, her actual name IS Barbara Gordon.

A bit harsh truth, but now it’s growing on me. For some reason, I caught a bit of a minor triggered reaction, and felt it myself. As an asian oriental, some turns of phrase and tone of voice is a bit off putting. But knowing we’re in the North Americas, they in the 🇺🇸 and I in 🇨🇦, both understand it’s not meant offensively. So it was funny how there was a minor awkward, but then it’s okay, but it was a bit awkward still moment passed in tone of voice and body language mostly, a few words😅...😂~ I notice details. Sometimes it is stressful been this empathetic and perceptive. But it was awkwardly sweet in this moment😂

As a man whose been sexually assaulted twice by men and but also once by a woman, I appreciate Erin saying we still have a long way to go. As a man, I can't say I feel particularly represented by the metoo movement, when clearly men can be victims too. And when in fact a Prominent male figure came out about this, Terry Crews, he was openly mocked for being a strongman who managed to also be a victim. I think that speaks to the shortcomings and the hardships men have to face often silently, even during an era and movement proposed to be about victims of sexual abuse. I know how you feel. I'm a boy from India, 18 and when I was like 6-7 I was assaulted by a man who worked for my dad countless times. It was so bizarre and strange to me that I only figured out it was a sexual assault when I grew old enough. I've never spoken about this to anybody in my family or to any of my friends. Just talking about it makes me anxious and uneasy. I think what I'm most afraid of is one day accidently meeting that person somewhere. I know I wouldn't be able to handle it. I tried to tell my brother one day but he's a very toxic masculine man and I know for sure instead of understanding he'd mock and make fun of me. I hope that things will get better for both you and I.

Sadly, true. There is a lot of toxic masculinity and societal, even females, complicit in silencing against women and men sexual abuse victims. It is harder for men. And there are efforts to understand but we don’t always remember how bad it can get for boys, too. Especially from other men, especially toxic men or abusers of boys, younger or any men. Sadly, the advice against sharing with parents is a 50/50 chance of good or bad response from parents. So depends. It’s good that you spoke up. But yeah could have worded it for sexual victims, not gender specific. It’s better to acknowledge both and how both need change in society to help victims and hold abusers accountable. Change for the better with therapy or jail time for those who keep repeating their abuses. Women abusers, too. I hated how recently they made it seem okay for a teacher to have "loved" her student boy. Or sexualizing into porn, and making it acceptable for women to abuse boys or men sexually as "retaliation" revenge is okay. Obviously not‼️

The two of them are my favourite characters, because I always like idealistic characters in cynical settings. On a related note, I like how both Hughie and Starlight inspire others to be better people. Hughie for Butcher and Starlight for Queen Maeve. And they also do it for each other. In season 1, I think Annie helped stop Hughie from going off the deep end in his quest for revenge; and in season 2, Hughie helped Annie get back to who she used to be.
Karen honestly looks so badass in all her roles! She deserves more alpha roles in the coming years. Kimiko is frightening but yet so sweet somehow, lol. Gotta wait another year for The boys to come back :(
I really have to offer my props to Karen, Erin, and all the other cast members whose interviews I saw regarding The Boys. It's a fine group of amazing actors who are very professional and have great camaraderie. Makes me want to take up acting again.

@@unstoppableExodia watch s1 of Jessica Jones on Netflix, it is really fuckin dark and incredible, the next 2 seasons were not nearly as good but main s1 is amazing. One of the best villains ever in it too. Very highly recommend, some of the best superhero tv/film made. Also you should watch daredevil which was amazing and really dark too, s1 and s3 are amazing and s2 has an unbelievable punisher arc that is also dark and very brutal. Those shows definitely didn’t shy away from going to dark places. Iron fist and Luke cage we nowhere close to as good as s1 of Jessica Jones and all of daredevil. The punisher show they did was solid too especially s1, Jon Bernthal who played him was amazing. Anyway I highly recommend season 1 of Jessica Jones and all Of daredevil. Both are truly top tier superhero stuff and they’re pretty dark and grounded with amazing villains.
Karen is so sweetly genuine and unselfish in the way that she always puts the centre of attention on her guests. And as an amazing interviewer, she says just enough (not too much) to get them to open up. The Boys is raw brutal unapologetic vicious animal of a show and all of its cast brings their A game. Erin and Karen, wish you both continued success.
Karen, since you guys LOVE dessert here's an easy no bake recipe for a NO BAKE lemony cheesecake! 2 cans sweetened condensed milk 4 oz. 3/4 cup of lemon juice. Either bottled or fresh is fine 1 pre-made pie crust 6 oz. is fine. Graham cracker of course! Mix the condensed milk and lemon juice and pour it into the pie crust. Then put it in the 'fridge for a few hours. I put mine in the freezer to get a more firm pie but your 'fridge may be cold enough. And that's it! SOOOOO GOOD!!!

Kimiko is my favorite character. She's savage yet sweet, like how a cat can be. One moment she's pleasant and the next she might be ripping someone's face off. It's pretty awesome to have found your channel.

Next time you guys are shooting The Boys in Toronto, I'd recommend taking a short trip to Niagara-on-the-lake and going to Cow's Ice cream! Its exactly how you described you like your ice cream but better....

Her arc in Jessica jones was just some brutal ass shit. She was great and the season was awesome but man her character had it rough.

@@unstoppableExodia watch s1 of Jessica Jones on Netflix, it is really fuckin dark and incredible, the next 2 seasons were not nearly as good but main s1 is amazing. One of the best villains ever in it too. Very highly recommend, some of the best superhero tv/film made. Also you should watch daredevil which was amazing and really dark too, s1 and s3 are amazing and s2 has an unbelievable punisher arc that is also dark and very brutal. Those shows definitely didn’t shy away from going to dark places. Iron fist and Luke cage we nowhere close to as good as s1 of Jessica Jones and all of daredevil. The punisher show they did was solid too especially s1, Jon Bernthal who played him was amazing. Anyway I highly recommend season 1 of Jessica Jones and all Of daredevil. Both are truly top tier superhero stuff and they’re pretty dark and grounded with amazing villains.

Karen is so sweetly genuine and unselfish in the way that she always puts the centre of attention on her guests. And as an amazing interviewer, she says just enough (not too much) to get them to open up. The Boys is raw brutal unapologetic vicious animal of a show and all of its cast brings their A game. Erin and Karen, wish you both continued success.

Karen, since you guys LOVE dessert here's an easy no bake recipe for a NO BAKE lemony cheesecake!
2 cans sweetened condensed milk 4 oz.
3/4 cup of lemon juice. Either bottled or fresh is fine
1 pre-made pie crust 6 oz. is fine. Graham cracker of course!
Mix the condensed milk and lemon juice and pour it into the pie crust. Then put it in the 'fridge for a few hours. I put mine in the freezer to get a more firm pie but your 'fridge may be cold enough.
And that's it! SOOOOO GOOD!!!
