Dumb question. With this "flat shift" function which isn't mentioned in the manual anywhere - you still use the clutch right? I've got a Mk8 FiST-3 and before I try ramming into next gear without the clutch thought I'd check...

Yes you have to use the clutch, just leave the throttle on the floor

@@solmackay Good to know. Used launch control 4 times within half an hour yesterday and clutch started stinking, thinking I might only play with it once or twice a year! Weird considering it comes up at every traffic light, encouraging you to use it...

I try to avoid the no lift shift on mine, feels like it slows the shifts down and gives a bit of turbo lag

It is noisy at high speed? How it is for long trip ?

Little louder (road noise) than an average car but is great on long trips
